Do not take your vehicle here. They take advantage of customers and senior citizens. My grandmother, age 66, had a transmission error. She dropped it off and they did $600 dollars of work without notifying her. They changed her spark plugs, valve gasket cover, and mass air flow sensor. None of these had to do with the transmission and they did it without authorization. When she picked up the car, the error message was still there obviously, but they told her that it was a "glitch" and what they had done would fix the problem. This was when the family got involved and realized the pricey work AAMCO had done had nothing to do with the transmission. The vehicle was taken back to AAMCO, but they had NO RECORD of doing any work to her car, what they did, why they did it, or how much each part cost. We had the receipt, they had nothing. Their compensation for all of this was to take another look at the car and give a 10% discount on the additional work (nothing could be done about the previous, erroneous work) to fix the original problem that the car was there for in the first place. This came from the corporate representative that had to be stationed there, I assume from the amount of complaints and low quality work coming from this location. He also informed us that the son of the owner who had worked on the car was an idiot for doing the work he did given the error code, but still would not give us further compensation, despite acknowledging fully that THEY WERE THE ONES AT FAULT. We refused and have decided to take it to a competent mechanic. I repeat, do not take your vehicle here. No amount of corporate involvement will change an owner and son who either do not have sufficient automotive repair skills or do not care. Here, they will take advantage of you, will not fix your problem, and hide their incompetence or lies by keeping no record of your visit. Except your credit card transaction of course. In addition, check out reviews on yelp and city search. This location seems to have been involved in FRAUD and use of faulty transmissions from Katrina afflicted areas. Stay away.

This will now be my GO-TO shop.. Ive had two of my vehicles here in the last 4 months and I have been pleased with their service 100%. Just this last week I had a lot of work done on my Titan, these guys laid out everything that needed to be addressed, a couple of bearings and a couple of oil leaks. I decided not to have one of the oil leaks repaired (leaking oil pressure gauge) due to all of the other work that the truck needed ($$$) and the fact that I was told the leak was minimum and could be addressed at a later date, but that turned out not to be true. The day after I picked up my truck there was a bit of oil on my driveway. I called Rudy, thinking it was the new gasket for the "other" oil leak. He said I could drop it off Saturday morning (the next morning) to have it checked out. When I stopped back by after my sons football game (2 hours later), the truck had already been repaired, the guys replaced my leaky pressure gauge that I decided not to replace just days before, and when I asked him how much, completely expecting to pay for the work, I was shocked to hear it was done at no charge. Dont expect to get free repairs but you can expect these guys to do the right thing by you. My truck is running like a top and I already plan to have these guys change out my front struts in the next couple of weeks.

Since August, 2010, this location has been under new management. The New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce just had the ribbon cutting this week. As the new owner, I would like for the patrons of New Braunfels as well as any others who have previously utilized the facility at Seguin and I H 35 to know that I had nothing to do with previous work done on their vehicles-good or bad prior to August of this year. However, I come from a business background, and quality work and customer service to me is key. I believe in treating people as I like to be treated and treating them as I would like my family to be treated when they are patrons at an establishment. So, that said, should you need any repairs to your vehicles, freely know that our operations offers the highest in customer service, and the highest quality one can get. We strive for excellence. I know very well that people do business with people they know, like and trust. Come in and get to know us. Ask for Frank or James. Who knows? You may end up liking us. We certainly hope so and we dont mind earning your trust. We look forward to working with you and maintaining my reputation in business as well as that of AAMCOs that has been established for over 40 years.

I DROVE the car into AAMCO in New Braunfels for new transmission seals last year(WHICH COST ME $600) and tried to drive it away. The first time I made it as far as the loop before the transmission would not engage. AAMCO Towed it back and "Fixed" the problem. They called and said it was good now, so I came and picked up the car. I made it to Granzins meat market (barley out of the Courtyard Shopping Center) They had me push it back to them and then kept it for almost a month. AAMCO Called me and told me the "Oil Pump" inside the transmission went out and even though there was a "Warranty" on it, they would need $1500 bucks to fix the oil pump inside the transmission, after they worked on it and gave it a warranty which they would not honor. THIS IS AFTER I ALREADY PAID $600 the first time and received their 12 month / 12k mile warranty (which turned out to be worthless). I will never do business with these people ever again. Here is a hint!!! Why are they always under NEW MANAGEMENT? So the new guy can say "Well, that was under the old manager". Do yourself a favor and avoid these people at all cost!! (Thanks NEW BRAUNFELS AAMCO)!!

It is fantastic to have Aamco of New Braunfels here! I am so dependent on my car for my job. If my car is down and out...its truly a problem for me and for my clients. I live by appointments and a lot is needed in between. Aamco of New Braunfels always gets my car in and out...they are like my own personal pit crew. They make me feel like my needs are the most important thing to them at the moment I need them most. And they still manage to make sure that I dont have any other surprises lurking! They go above and beyond to show me they appreciate my business. When my daughters need anything...I send them to Aamco as well. They have instilled a level of confidence by never letting me down...thats why...I send everyone I know to Aamco. PS The prices are great...and the owners are fantastic...and I love that they are Veteran owned and operated...YES WE SHOULD ALL DO AS MUCH BUSINESS WITH VETERANS AS POSSIBLE...ITS DEFINITELY MY WAY OF SAYING THANK YOU TO PEOPLE THAT CARE ...HERES THE BOTTOM LINE...So they protect my car...they protect my girls jeeps...and THEY PROTECT OUR COUNTRY...Is there anything else I can say...YES...Thank you for all you do...
