The people at this stored saved my day and my wallet! I am from Arlington and my car broke down on me during a weekend get away trip in New Braunfels. I took it to AutoZone to have my battery replaced and the gentleman actually put it in my car for me. I asked him about a part that I had noticed had fallen out of my engine earlier and he took a look and told me instantly that my air compressor was locked and that I had thrown a belt. He called a mobile mechanic for me to come put on a new belt for me and we realized quickly that the belt would bust because the air compressor was locked. They told me that my car wouldnt make it a hundred miles without the belt to turn the alternator and boy were they right! I tried to get home anyways, despite their warnings and my car died on me 35 miles south of Waco. But thanks to the information I received from the gentleman at AutoZone, I was able to call around and get price quotes from local mechanics in Waco and my favorite Mechanic in Arlington. Both PepBoys and Autonation Chevy had quoted me a $2,800 repair and said it could go higher if there was anything else wrong with it. I called my mechanic in Arlington with the information I received from AutoZone and they quoted me half the price. I had my car shipped back to my mechanic and they were able to confirm exactly what the gentleman told me at this store and by the sounds of it, I will have my car back in one piece for 1/3 of the price it would have cost me if I had taken it to a dealership and not known exactly what was wrong with it. I wish I could remember his name, I know he knew a lot about history, but he went above and beyond and I will be an AutoZone customer for LIFE after this experience and I couldnt be more appreciative. To the gentleman who helped me out so much that day (06/26/2016), I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I was looking for a car battery that I couldnt change because of some rust terminals. The staff was very helpful and they removed the terminals and was able to get the new battery without having to go to the dealership and pay a ton more. They will lend you the tools to help you.
