This review is specifically aimed at the NICU unit. The L&D staff & the lactation consultant were all awesome, I have nothing bad to say about them... but if there is any chance your baby *MIGHT* end up in the NICU... DO NOT GO TO RESOLUTE!!! Seriously, worst experience ever. The NICU unit has no idea what theyre doing. One day theyre telling me "he has to stay longer" the next its "oh looks like hes doing better, he can go home at the end of the week" Switching doctors half way through the week & a completely different opinion for each of them. The manager literally said "its a good thing when we have babies here, otherwise our nurses get restless because they have nothing to do" ok, for real lady?? So its a good thing your nurses have something to do, forget about all the pain & suffering the parents are experiencing, wow ...that comment alone shouldve set off an alarm for me, but I wanted to be on good terms with them, so we didnt say anything about it. After trying for DAYS to get my son to latch, when he finally did the nurse came in and told me I had to unlatch him bc he had been feeding for more than 30 minutes. Even though my son was nearly 7 lbs & not at any kind of risk concerning that. My husband and I were absolutely appalled by the way the majority of them handled business. They also seemed to develop a personal vendetta against us for disagreeing with their diagnosis & the treatment plan. All of it was completely unnecessary. Mind you.. Some of the nurses were awesome, and I wish I could give them 5 stars. Katie, Lauren, Kristi, Larry, & Carrie were all amazing, but the rest of the people there were not good people & they CERTAINLY didnt have our best interest at heart. They pretty much acted like we had no rights with our own child & they mistreated us because we questioned them. It almost got to the point where we were going to transfer our child, just to have them away from that staff. Specifically the manager there. That woman has a vindictive personality, retaliatory tendencies & I can honestly say that I dont believe she had my babys best interest at heart. One day shes calling my husband "father of the year" & the next shes slandering us bc we didnt agree with them. I forgot to mention the group that they are affiliated with (MFM-- Texas Parinatal Group) directed us on what steps to take through the pregnancy & we fallowed those steps to a T. We werent even told that the NICU unit would be a possibility. I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the way we were treated, especially considering how involved we both were with being there for my son.

Well their bill finally made it to my credit report. Long sorry short, I was taken there by an ambulance against my wishes. I was moved around until I was eventually stuck in an empty room with a bed for 3 days, no shower. They drugged me because I was upset, no one was telling me why I was being held - they police wouldnt say why bc it would "agitate" me. One police man was enticing me to assault him, like Im an idiot and would do that. I was never criminally charged with anything, my wife (ex wife now) said to the state psychiatrist I was a danger to myself, so I guess I lost my rights and they held me until they found a place to send me. They literally shackled me and didnt give me a change of clothes. My gown was ripped at the crouch, so I was walking around shackled and free balling. After this nightmare was over I get a 10k bill from resolute. After all that and they still want me to pay for it, nope. Got a lawyer, buy resolute eventually sold it to one of the most notoriously known creditors in the country. I thought my lawyer was taking care of it, they apparently had not been getting responses back from them, and now my credit is tainted. Needless to say I would die in the parking lot before I step for in there again. I pay my bills when I rightfully owe them, this was something else. And New Braunfels PD, you need to train you officers how to diffuse situations peacefully. Protect and serve. He asked me to assault him. He was actually encouraging a citizen to break the law. He was showing how big of a man he was to all the nurses. Well Im gonna find you and hit you where it hurts - your personal record. They also fabricated events to cover their actions. Comal sheriff guy, your cool even tho you shackled me like a slave. You treated me w respect, and acknowledged I am not a nut case. The entire hospital staff would literally stop and watch me like Im was circus show freak. Very unprofessional. I eventually learned what was happening from the head staff lady and i I settled down to weigh my options. Worst experience of my life. Oh and a shot out to Marissa Colfry, my borderline ex wife without a soul. Avoid visionworks in San Antonio, the general manager there is in fact the crazy one. Get your glasses and get out quick.

I was a patient at this hospital for less then 2hr in Nov after showing up with a dangerously high fever (104). They ran multiple tests and couldnt find out what was wrong and sent me home with no medicine. After my condition worsened and I ended up going to my mothers hospital, Methodist in Houston med center, where they found I had a uncommon case of strep throat and gave me antibiotics. This was fine until Resolute sent me a bill that was ridiculously high(should be a $200 deductible), charging me thousands, after digging around to find out why my bill was high. I found they had processed my CPT code as an outpatient and not ED. (I have everything on recording)I called the hospital and had to deal with a rude nurse to finally get ahold of my doctor who was really nice and understanding of the situation and forward me to his boss who was also nice and understanding of the situation. The doctor had told me he had sent the CPT code as and ED and not outpatient but he would resend the paperwork just in case it got messed up. After a week went by I hadnt received a new bill and called the billing department who had not seen a change in the CPT code so called the doctor and he directed me to call their records department. So I did, I once again recorded everything and spoke with a woman whos name started with an "L" and I was very calm when speaking to her and asked her to explain why my bill was being set up the way it was. I kid you not this woman said she was not there to do the "right or ethical" thing and how she deemed my visit as not a emergency which is not for her to decided since the doctor ran life threatening tests (blood cancer) while I was at the hospital and has the DOCTORs orders to code it as such. She now will not return OR answer my calls from myself or my other authorized users . They are also unwilling to work on a payment plan for me. This is very very hard on me as a fresh college graduate and active military member just trying to make it. I will NEVER come back here or recommend this facility to anyone. My mother is also as stated before a significant employee at Methodist in Houston and she is never going to do business with them or recommend ANY of her clients to use them.
