You know, it kills me to do this, but I just need to let people know. I was a regular client at this salon for about a year, and got AMAZING SERVICE from my stylist, Charise. My haircuts and color were always wonderful, and I was treated like a queen at this salon. The staff were courteous, and went out of their way to make me feel like I was getting a real "salon experience." Thats the good news. Heres the bad news. I had to leave the salon about 4 mos. ago because of financial reasons. Now that things have improved, I have called a couple of times to try to get back in for my haircut and color. The first time I called, I was told that Charise was booked at least a month in advance!!?? Okay, Im a big city gal, but who is willing to wait that long when you need help with your hair, like NOW??? I went to another salon for about four mos. When I called William Edge, and told them I wanted to come back, even with another stylist, they made it difficult. More than difficult, actually. I was told nobody was available until next week?? Hello! I need help this week!! The person on the phone did try to give me alternatives, but none of them would work for me. Finally, I was told to call them up when I was ready to commit to an appointment!!?? Huh???? Is it just me, or does everyone feel that the customer should be accommodated??? Especially at these prices??? I am not a diva, and am always willing to work with peoples schedules, but I must say that this salon is NOT WILLING to work with their customers when scheduling an appointment. I find this attitude haughty, rude and downright arrogant. It hurts me to say this about a salon that WAS my favorite, but hey, its our money, and we ARE the customer, you know. William Edge should jump through hoops to accommodate their clients. They are a wonderful salon, but snooty attitudes are not appreciated by this FORMER client. Thanks for listening. I just needed to vent!! Laura

Great salon. Not cheap, but not the most expensive. I got a pretty cute cut. William Edge is actually quite far from me (which I didnt realize at first) and so I probably wont be back for that reason. Due to this, I wasnt going to leave a review, but then read the one below from "Jim." She said she used to go to William Edge often, but took a break for financial reasons. After returning from her hiatus, her favorite stylist was booked out a month in advance. That is a bit long, but it goes to show that that stylist was talented and so in great demand-- or perhaps had some vacation time planned out. She tried again, but the earliest appointment available that would work with her schedule was the next week. She complained that waiting one week was too long. I think thats actually a pretty reasonable time to wait for a good stylist. The next-week timeframe was, for some reason, too late for the reviewer, but instead of considering that she was at fault for not planning ahead of time, she blamed the business for not prioritizing her over its other customers. She made it seem like the salon wouldnt work with her, even though she stated that they tried to give her alternate times for the same week she wanted, but her schedule wasnt compatible. What is that except trying to be accommodating? What she apparently really wanted was for them to bump another customer in order for her to get scheduled. Sometimes people just flabbergast me. Yes, the customer should be treated with respect and due consideration, but people need to have common sense. For example: you are not the only customer, stylists are human too and a business cannot give you a slot that isnt available. I have never responded to another individuals personal review before, but demanding special treatment out of a fixed sense of entitlement is such snotty behavior that I had to comment.

THIS SALON IS VERY NICE, THE PEOPLE ARE NICE AS WELL; HOWEVER, THE COLORISTS ARE NOT NEARLY TALENTED ENOUGH TO CHARGE THE HIGH PRICES THEY DO. I WENT IN YESTERDAY TO BECOME A BLONDE-- THE DAY BEFORE, DURING MY CONSULTATION WITH THE COLORIST, I EXPRESSED THAT I WANTED TO GO BLONDE AND N-O-T ORANGE. WELL, GUESS WHAT? THATS E-X-A-C-T-L-Y WHAT HAPPENED! I WALKED IN WITH PRETTY, LONG BROWN HAIR, AND I WALKED OUT WITH UGLY ORANGE, SHORT, SPIKED HAIR! AHHHH! I CALLED THE SALON THIS MORNING AND NICELY COMPLAINED, IM SUPPOSED TO GO BACK LATER TODAY FOR COLOR CORRECTION, SO ILL BE BACK HERE TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.OVERALL, THIS PLACE IS GOOD-LOOKING, THE PEOPLE ARE NICE, BUT THE SKILL LEVEL OF THE STAFF IS WAAAYYY OVERRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Okay, so I went back today and ANOTHER GIRL, ASHLIGH, fixed me right up! Shes the best. If anyone decides to give this place a try, request ASHLIGH!!! Otherwise, your hair might turn out like mine did yesterday! AHHHH! YIKES! No, but seriously, Ashlighs great, as Im sure all of the stylists are. The problem has been fixed, so its no longer a problem. Just make 100% sure youre PERFECTLY CLEAR with your stylist about what youre wanting and everything will turn out fine! :)

I needed something new, but tend to be a traditionalist (generally the same haircut in varying lengths for most of my life). I called WE as a new customer and I was set up with Michael at the Gruene location. He made a suggestion for a short hairstyle because he thought it would look good on me. I wavered a little, so he cut it just like I asked, which was just like every other haircut I always get, which was what I came in to have different. Once he completely cut my hair, I decided to get BOLD right there in the chair, and trust HIS instinct. So I got basically a second haircut in an hour! And I LOVE it! All my friends and family LOVE it. Dealing with people cant always be easy, and I am sure that he needed much patience with me (we finished the 2nd cut after close and he stuck around!), but I cannot give Michael enough stars! Thank you Michael! See you in a few weeks to keep up this adorable do!

I really love this place. I scheduled an appointment at the last second, and when I went in I found out the receptionist accidentally scheduled me two days later, but they fit me in 10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to be made. My stylist was Renee, I think thats how she spells it. She was really nice, and she did an awesome job with my hair. I showed her a couple pictures of ideas I had and she customized it into an amazing look. Its a tad pricey, but DEFINITELY worth it! I will be going back if I need anything else done. Very professional.

I dont write reviews often however I felt like this place needed one. I called as a new client needing HL/LL and asked for an appointment any day after 4:00 PM. I dont think that was too picky! The first available was 5 weeks out. How ridiculous is that?! 1. As a new client you would think they would work me in in less than 2 weeks and 2. Who calls for a hair appointment and can wait 5 weeks? Please... I will continue to drive out of my way into San Antonio if that is the customer service they will provide.
