Dont waste your time at this gum. My fiancée is a member and I wanted to get in shape for our wedding. I asked them at the front desk if I could do a 7 day trial. The manager asked me if I had ever been there. I said yes, once 6 months ago and I played racquetball for like an hour and that was it. I didnt even work out that day. He rudely told me that since I had had been there AND worked out that I couldnt have a pass. Well, clearly he didnt listen to what I was saying. He then proceeded to argue with me about pricing. When I told him my best friend could get her membership for $8 in Baytown for being a student, he told me that was impossible and that the lowest he could give it to me was $9.95. He showed me around the gym and even then you could see he didnt want to. Overall, I did not sign a contract. I will pay my high fees to be treated nicely at 24 hour fitness and not have to worry about managers being extremely rude as well as the front desk. My fiancée was unhappy and couldn’t believe how he was acting. You should feel comfortable in a gym and neither one of us did there. The parking was horrendous. He lied straight to our faces and said that Mondays (which was the day we showed up on) are the busiest but other days in the week its not. He also told me that the racquetball courts are hardly ever used and when we walked by, every room was filled and all the benches were full of people waiting to get in to a room. Management and staff there stink and will tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to sign with them.

Lets be honest, the monthly fee is $11 per month. If you are expecting ballet service and super-models everywhere, you need to check those expectations at the door. This is a good gym in that it offers a lot of equipment, free weights, tension weights, tread-mills, elliptical, etc. They bring in new weights about every two years. Personally, Ive been coming to this gym for a few years now and it serves me a purpose of providing me a save environment to exercise (non-slippery floors). New weights and equipment were just brought in last month which is always nice. Ive never witnessed a fight or any type of altercation in the many years Ive worked out there. Some of the crowed is rough around the edges but you have to expect that if you insist on paying $11. There is a Ladys Workout room for females who dont feel comfortable lifting around men or dont want to be "checked out" by other people. There is a pool, which Ive never used and a hot-tub, which I also never used. The Basketball Gym floor is less than six months old and the rocket ball courts are in really good shape. They also offer a lot of classes from body pump to kickboxing and cycling. Ive done a few here and there and they are good and free to all members. Again, if you want to be surrounded by supermodels and pampered while you work out (which makes no sense to me) this gym is probably not good for you. But if youre just looking to work out and get out, its worth a shot.

I recently encouraged my friend to sign up for Fitness Connection, and since we had recieved emails regarding a special they were having 0 down and 10 per month , we decided to go ahead and go sign her up. The rep who assisted us , "SAM", started telling us how he was going to charge my friend 150 dollars and we just stared at him with confusion, then he noticed our faces and brought it down to 77 dollars, and we were just confused because he started scamming us , and then we showed him the emails of the promotion , and he rudely said, that was only for VIP and it was 0 down with 20 per month , but the email clearly says otherwise ! then he made us show him the email and he said , oh well thats a mistake its only for veterans day... and we looked at each other because i even called previously to ask about the offer and they said yes its 0 down and 10 every month .. Im so embarrassed to even have brought my friend to this gym.. the guy made her sign up for 20 dollars a month for VIP which he said , it only included the gym and you can only go to that gym.. which is a lie because VIP is different, she should have access to all the gyms! Any who, SAM was very rude to us, not to mention that we even said thank you and he turned around and didnt even said bye... how rude. We are now trying to reach customer service because this is unfair and we were trying to get SCAMMED... beware guys ! its better to contact customer service...

Been using Fitness Connection for about 2-3 years now. I work out in the 4am-6am window every morning. Ive had no issues with the facilities at the Spencer or the I-45 locations. About the time I started questioning the equipment, it was all upgraded/replaced by new equipment. The cleaning crew does a relatively good job, however, if you use the provided cleaning spray and paper towels provided, you can find some pieces of equipment that arent cleaned very well. My issue with the complaints of "dirty gyms" is that most people dont wipe down the equipment after theyve sweated all over it. You pay for a membership, do your part and own your gym by assisting with cleaning after you use a piece of equipment and stop expecting your momma to come behind and clean up after you. I have noticed that the group in the 4-6am window at the Pasadena location are pretty respectful of each other. People ask to use weights and let you work in while they rest with little to no resistance - the way it should be. For the price, you cant beat it...if youre looking for more of a "country club" type gym, this is NOT the gym for you. If youre looking to get into a gym, do some work to better yourself, and not get caught up in negativity...sign up and get after it.

Ive been a member here for almost a year. I am in this gym 6 days a weeks at all different hours and i can honestly say i enjoy this location. There are a few things they need to improve on, like buying some new yoga matts but over all its a real decent place to accomplish your work out. Its really crowded here though between 6 and 8 pm so i always go before or after that time. They have big restrooms, lockerrooms, a sauna, a pool, showers and changing rooms. They have a theatre room, and other rooms for special classes and well as a basketball court and racquet ball court. Plenty of machines too. They also have a womens only work out room. For 10 bucks a month you cant go wrong. I wil say though that the employees working the front desk need some work, they dont greet people well and ive actually had an issue in the past with one of the front desk girls giving me an awful dirty rude look. I reported her via email to the manager and never got a response...they need some tips and pointers on customer service. Besides a few bad employees, its a pretty good gym for the price.
