I joined back in late may to continue working out and being a person who was always traveling i heard they were in a lot of locations around the U.S. Before i joined them i was a snap fitness user and they were great but the nearest one was a good drive for me so i explained to them the issue and they were like we understand and so i canceled my membership with no issues and no fees...Then i joined Fitness connection and from day one it has been one issue after another and 150+ dollars later in the 3 month time frame i decided this relationship has run its course so i called them and ask to stop my membership and they said either a letter to corporate or i had to come in person to the facility to cancel.. And at no point were they courteous about it. So i went in and talked with the ASM and started the process to cancel and the whole time i was being lectured on policies and contracts and i was like i am not here to hear all that i would like to cancel and leave...Then he was like we will being charging you one more fee because you have to give a 30 day notice before canceling and i was like dude you charged me this morning for my dues so by my count thats 31 days before the next due date. And he is like thats policy . And to top it off i cant use the gym since i have canceled my membership and even tho i have paid for the month...so i paid for a service that will not be rendered to me...So in tail i will be giving them almost 60 bucks and cant use the facility. Further more i used the personal trainer who in his 1 hour of training who spent 40 minutes of my time talking to others instead of doing his job..People are rude and disrespectful ..what ever happen to customer service. Not sure how this company works but i work for a company that goes out of there way for customer service and i guess that is why we are a billion dollar a year company for a reason and have more than 275 locations world wide...when our customers are unhappy we make them happy . Bright side to all this i called snap up and asked about rejoining them and they said welcome back and all i have to do is reset up my payment plan and no other costs for coming back..All i can say is fitness connection take notes from snap on how to treat customers...Join at your own risk is all i can say..

I was looking for a new gym and hoping this would be a great fit. No way. Made plans to workout with another member at the Baytown location; we found out theyve done away with guest passes so I decided to speak with someone in order to get a membership. Long story short; everything was great but once my credit card and license were in his hands, I was asked to sign the signature pad while he tried slipping in Im agreeing to the annual fee that would be charged on 11/15. Why wasnt this disclosed prior to handing over my financial information? I questioned him and he said he didnt have his "thingie" (expressed my experience with the manager as well... the "thingie" is the laminated price sheet. Im ok with a verbal explanation so long as your clear FYI). Any charges witheld from someone selling ANYTHING until AFTER they have possesion of YOUR money is a huge no! I really felt taken advantage of. Also I should mention there were Baytown Police on the premises taking a report for someone who had their vehicle window smashed out; broad daylight. The manager said he would talk to him; I left disappointed with the impression he wasnt concerned or even understanding of the big picture rather "Theyre trained to use the card" mentality. The only thing Im excersizing are my other gym options.

I am really unhappy with this place. When I signed up, it was 39 to start, and 10 bucks a month after that, so I agreed to it, and then I specifically asked, so is it 39, and then 10 for the first month, or do I just pay 39 now, and I dont get charged again for a month? She said it was 39 today, and then I wouldnt get charged until next month. I signed myself and my husband both up, so I paid 80 up front. Then during the sign up process, they sneak in the fact that there is a 70 dollar per year maintenance fee, which made me feel like it was a surprise. It wasnt mentioned until after I had already spent an hour with them signing up. So that ticked me off. One week after I pay the 80 bucks, they charge me 10.77 x 2 for what I am assuming is the following month. (Which pisses me off again, because yet again, I was misinformed on the charge dates, and was told it wouldnt be for another month before I saw those new charges.) Also, the fitness analysis that they give you is made to sound like a free personal training advice, but it isnt. It is a high pressure sales situation in which they try to get you to purchase training. When I kept saying I wasnt interested, they got rude with me. I am really un-happy with my experience so far, and I am only in one week.

NIGHTMARE!!! this gym was a nightmare. In fact, IT STILL IS. I have tried for nearly 5 months to get this gym to stop drafting my account. you go to your gym, they tell you to send a letter to corporate, then corporate says they never got it. They tell you to fax a letter and then they tell you that they dont accepts faxes. mysteriously there is no one you can see in person because that would be too easy. they want to SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY for months until they bleed you dry. I tell them I am going to stop payment through the bank and they tell me they will put it on my credit. The people yell and scream on the phone from the corporate office and tell you there is no supervisor to speak with. I find it hard to believe with that type of customer service that this psycho person doesnt have some one else to answer to! maybe with my fifth attempt at canceling my membership, I will enclose some Valume for the staff. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THIS GYM!!!! ***note Tipsy*** i find it hard to believe that there is a good comment ffrom you only ***after**** i called both corp and the local office and tell them to review this site to show THE AWEFUL CCUSTOMER SERVICE THAT IS PROVIDED...

Horrible! I went in to get a membership and the gentleman in the office behind the front counter was outrageously rude.My inlaws have a membership at this establishment so i wanted to get one to join them.I proceeded to speak with the gentleman about the options to purchase a membership for me and my wife. I was interested in seeing what they have to offer and i was very clear as to what i thought the membership cost was. I told him i would discuss the price options with my wife and he became belligerent and hostile.Telling me do you want a membership or not it doesnt matter how much it costs i can charge you $150.00 today or the lower price which one is it your wasting my time. I then held back all i could stood up,ended the conversation, and walked away. Never have i been talked to like that at a gym or any establishment PERIOD.I will Never refer anyone there and will be telling any and everyone my experience.
