Good Luck trying to cancel a membership here. PROS: Wide variety of workout machinery, nice staff at front, clean facility. CONS: Start to feel lied to when attempting to reach the Gym Manager. I can agree there is definitely a feeling of sketchiness within the staff. I attempted to cancel my membership THREE times. It seems that they will almost not allow you to cancel. Each time I go to cancel they say the gym manager has to do it and that he is not in or he is on break. Funny how one membership rep told me hes on break and about to work out, then he happens to walk by in normal work attire. I feel all is lost when you lie to a customer just to hold on to their money and avoid a contract loss. In this case I had my account frozen indefinitely; the closest I can get to cancellation. Sad. Also, I am forced to pay another months dues even though the next billing cycle is not until the next day. Even worse, I CANT EVEN USE THE MONTH I AM GETTING BILLED FOR. HORRIBLE. MY ADVICE TO STAFF & MANAGER: Honesty and professionalism goes a LONG way. Not very professional seeing buddy buddy hand slap/shakes from a manager to another staff in front of customers. For staff members; do not lie about your manager not being available when its clear he is hanging out in the office next door in clear view. I only gave one star in efforts of the gym equipment and thats it, otherwise I would have given 0 stars if it was possible. Take this advice given. From one retail manager to another.

This place is sucks. They steal your money. They tell you is month by month and then they charge u year fee even when you just have a month on it and without telling you or your permission star taking money from your account. And even if u call the banck and cancel the card they change the name and take the money any way vaciase they say you have a paper that u with your signature even when was the debit card payment that u sing cause they dont have for you put your PIN number. And they use it as a consent from you for take money from your card. Even if u call and tell them dont take money they keep doing it. The same they did to my friend they. Charge him Yearly fee without telling him. When u call costumer service for fix the problem they dont want to give u your money back even when u didnt sing nothing they use a electronic signature that they got on the computer when u paid. And they say that will no give your money back. And make sure to cancel if not they gonna take money from you. Even when u cancel they say that y dont cancel and that the you call and hanged on them but they dont put the cancelation. So be aware they thief.

I cant belive that 24 hour fitness allows this location to keep the name!!! I have been memberat several 24 hour fitness locations over the past 7 years and by far this is the worst one I have been going to this location for 3 months some of the equipment has been broken since i got there!! i wanted to watch a show while doing cardio I had to go to 5 different machines before i found one that worked with the headphones and right channels or buttons were all broken. the showers are always out of soap, there was what looked to be a palstic soap bar traveler broken on the floor in the shower it was there almost 3 weeks so how often do they get cleaned? anybody that has given this facility a 5 star has never been to a nice gym or must work there period!! if i didnt already have a contract i would go to another gym!!

I am not the first to complain about the heat level in this gym, nor will I be the last. The manager here, Mary, told me after my second complaint that the reason it is so hot is because of "body heat". It is 1:55 AM and it is over 82 degrees in this gym. Unbearably hot to workout in. The staff here has to have fans in the front to keep them cool, even at night. I dont know if shes trying to get some sort of extra bonus at the end of the year or what, but it is EXTREMELY hot in this gym! Almost unbearably so. My sister and her husband moved to Fitness Connectiom because they felt like passing out due to the heat while working out. The manager, Mary does not care. Read the Google and Yahoo reviews of this place and see that I am not the only one complaining. People are leaving because it is TOO HOT!

This place is poorly maintained. NO HOT WATER FOR 7 WEEKS NOW!!! Every week they tell me that the hot water heater will be replaced later that week, but it never happens. Freezing cold showers suck. Nothing around here gets fixed! The swimsuit dryer in the mens locker room has been inoperative for almost a year, many of the tredmills dont work properly, the overall condition of the equipment is poor. I mainly go to use the lap pool and spa, the pool is cloudy more often than not and the water lately has had a strange odor, also burns the eyes. At the League City facility and other clubs located in more affluent areas when something gets reported as inoperative it is quickly fixed. They just dont care about this location. Go to another location if possible. Not all the clubs are as bad as this.

I have been with 24 for 5 years and have visited most all clubs in the houston area. This one by far is the dirtiest, most unorganized, most disappointing i have been to. Half the machines are broken, you will never find dumbbells in the correct place, if at all. Basketballs look like theyve been fed through a wood chipper. If you walk in the restroom, you will probably throw your intestines up and sprint away. And that will be your only cardio because the 1/3 of the equipment that works is in use. The soap dispensers in the showers are always empty. Then when you go to leave, your car will probably already be broke into in the parking lot. I cant wait to move away from Baytown and attend a 24 i actually feel comfortable paying $30/month for. What a dump.

I finally canceled my membership today halfway through a work out. Every time Ive been there Ive been at least three or four machines have been broken along with several that stay broken. Every time I have tried to use a shower the soap dispenser has been out. And the last straw was walking into the restroom today, and seeing that every single toilet was unflushed, and that all of them were out of toilet paper. This facility is poorly run, I have worked out at super sports in California that were much better. Im not sure why 24 hour fitness has not stepped in to correct the situation.

Horrible customer service. I am not a member but I asked if I could be shown around the gym since I had signed up for a free 3-day pass and I was told to come back 1.5 hours later because "the person that gives you the pass isnt here". Really!? There were an additional two guys behind the desk girl just hanging out, obviously not doing much. It was early in the morning too - not too many people working out from what I can see and they could not bother to show a potential client around for 1 min? Tisk tisk, 24-hr. Plus, reading all the other terrible reviews, Ill never join.
