DO NOT JOIN THIS TRASH GYM. Even if they offered me a free year, Id laugh and walk off saying, "Never again." One morning the staff didnt know the woman standing next to me was my wife until after they had insulted her and I told their fat asses to get a real job. I do not and will not recommend this gym to anyone. The staff are out of shape, ignorant and rude which is the total opposite of what I expected. They do not respond to emails and their facilities are always down or out of order. You will not get your moneys worth here. This is for the social butterflies that play video games all day and want to drop a little fast food weight. Not the real deals. I dropped these guys for a 10 dollar a month gym because these guys are slackers without manners. I asked to try this gym out and didnt mind paying the first month to appease my curiosity. Just looking at it you can see that someone tossed a lot of money into this operation... but in the end their business model is trash. I tried it out for one month, did not sign up for a subscription service. At the end of my first month I was very disappointed. Then I noticed they charged me for a second month. I had the bank cut them off yet they continued to try and charge me for the following months. I let them keep the second month and requested they cancel my service 3 times. 4 months later they sent me a collections notice and said I needed to come in and sign forms to discontinue their billing. I DIDNT SIGN UP FOR ANY PLAN AND IF I HAD WANTED TO STAY I WOULD OF JUST PAID THE 2-3 YEARS UP FRONT. I have things to do and am constantly traveling. I dont have time for the bs with these guys. My email account should be adequate enough to accomplish a cancellation as should a phone call where I provide you with personally identifying information in order to verify my identity. These guys are a joke. Pass these guys up and go find a real gym. Even the 4-5 star reviews on here describe how things have improved over the years... BS. Thats their marketing team trying to improve what the real public thinks about them. These guys are even faking reviews to make themselves look better. What a joke.

Let me start out saying I love this gym. It is the only gym I would really ever pay to go to. Very clean, up to date, never have to wait. Everyone is very nice, love the spa and the saunas. My only complaint is that the lifeguards do not seem to use common sense and courtesy. I was the only one in the pool with my 4 year old son when we got to the pool for the last hour that it was open, before getting in the pool I realized I needed to throw away a piece of trash so I let my 4 year sit in the water (he knows how to swim very well) and walked around the edge of the pool looking for a trashcan. I finally asked the guard on duty where a trashcan was and he directed me to the lifeguard pool office, I walked over to the pool office and asked if I could throw away the small piece of trash, they told me I would have to go into the ladies bathroom to access a "public trashcan" I told them I was trying to keep an eye on my son and just needed to throw away a small band-aid they just shrugged their shoulders and told me that was the only one I could use and tried to assure me that it was right inside the door. I made my son sit on the side of the pool so that I could leave the pool area to throw the stupid band-aid away and then quickly went back to my son. I got into the water about 5 minutes before the end of the hour, apparently they have a hard and fast rule that they MUST have an adult swim at the top of every other hour, even though there were no other kids in the pool and only 2 other adults who were swimming laps in the other lap pool, and the guard took the ENTIRE 15 minutes to "rest". There were 3 other guards that were sitting around the pool area and another 1 in the office (trashcan nazi) but they apparently couldnt relieve the guard who was sitting on stand. I brought my wet and frustrated 4 year old to the hot-tub to at least sit on the steps (no one was in there either) and I was told by 2 teenage guards that he couldnt be in the hot-tub. If it wasnt for the fact that my son had been wet and had been looking forward to swimming all afternoon I would have left.

There were some pros to this place early on. First of all, it seemed very nice and clean. Pools were good and the rock climbing wall was really fun to play around on. The cost seemed reasonable, however this was the first gym I got a membership to so Im not sure if it is a good value. Now for the issues I have with this place. First off, we had problems in the family changing room early on. My wife was showering with our 3 year old son when one of the employees used their key to unlock the stall to check on the shower when they both were naked in there. No apology was offered, the employee just got out of there as fast as he could. She was too shocked to remember what he looked like, so her report was disregarded at the front desk. The shower stalls in the family room have doors with a large gap underneath them, almost 2" high. There was two other instances where my wife has told me that she had seen a mirror slipped under that gap where someone was peeping. The gym had started being more strict on the family only policy for the family changing room, but single males continued to pass through that room as a shortcut to the outdoor recreation area without being stopped and lone male employees pass through there all the time. Second, there were roaches in the spa. Third, canceling your membership is such a pain in the rear. If you travel a lot for work or whatever reason, or could be relocating soon, make sure you get this place cancelled early. Their policy of handling cancellations in person or signed letter by mail (which you will have to get notarized) is way beyond what I think is reasonable for severing ties with a service provider. You can even cancel your Comcast service over the phone for god sakes. I hate saying never, but Im so put off by this company that I will never again set foot inside another Lifetime Fitness gym. I wish I could give this place a -5 star rating.

Im 57 and spent the last 15 years living it up and gained a lot of weight. I was very intimidated walking in and working out with the hard bodies at first. I hired Bannacker as a personal trainer. (My Wife) who he had got into great shape last year recommended him. First month was tough and to be real the thought of giving up crossed my mind, BUT! Bannacker (the best IMO) and the Lifetime staff has been nothing short of awesome in encouraging me and always making a point to say .."You Can Do This" even when i did not believe I could move another inch. Hailey who is in the front always greets with a smile and a good to see you. Marshall sees me walk into the cafe after workout and knows the protein shake I want. AnQuan always makes it a point to ask how Im doing. Brady even if he is doing something makes it a point to say something very positive to me, or strike up a short conversation. Is it a bit pricey to hire a personal trainer, yes. But, putting a dollar figure on your health will eventually end you in a place no one wants to be. Thank you to all the Lifetime Staff that have been so positive!
