I like this place--let me be honest. But shopping in central market, you really have to make sure the food/drink you are buying has not expired. Bc central market doesnt care about the expiration date at all! One time there was some mini strawberry tarts thing next to yogurt isle. All of them had grayish green mold on them!! Looked so disgusting and scary. They were there with the mold for like a month. I just hoped nobody had bought them. Another time I saw this Japanese milk tea was about to expire in a day so I brought it to the store crew attention. The guy promised they would take care of it. A week later, expired milk tea was still on shelf, at normal price. So I took one to the check out and told the cashier there. The guy again promised they would take care of it. 3 weeks later, expired milk tea was still there, at the normal price!!! I took a picture and tweeted, of course they didnt care.

I just left this store and I was floored by how baller the entire experience was. They have a department for everything, even sushi (which I got a free sample of), they have a great beer selection, then just to top off how straight gangster this place is, I was just about to stand in a really long line at the checkout counter when someone came right up to me and said "would you like to checkout at the information desk?" I didnt even have to stand in line at all! At this point I genuinely thought I was being mistaken for someone important. The only way this store could be more baller is if Donald Trump was the owner and you could buy Trump Steaks here.

We arrived at around 9:30PM, while shopping, the time went by too quickly and we realized we were the only shoppers left in the store at 10:30PM. Even though they were closed, the lady at the bakery offered us to fetch a loaf of bread that we wanted. The baker chimed in and fetched another loaf of bread. Store like this is where you want to come back over and over again. Store manager checked us out. The experience was terrific, well certainly be back again. The time has only enhanced this place - ten years ago, before we moved away from Texas, it was great place, now that we are back to Texas, its still one of the very best place to shop.

I love the selection and service. The number system at the butcher block takes the stress out of waiting in disorganized lines. The only difficulty I have is that it can get very crowded on the weekends and the isles are very tight. I still face the crowds because the quality and selection is worth it but if you are averse to crowds Id go outside of peak shopping hours. One extra plus is the selection of locally roasted coffee which you cant find anywhere else. Just check the roasted on date on the coffee if its there because sometimes they will keep it on the shelf for longer than Id prefer.

Customer service is lacking. The layout of the store is different, which is not all bad, but there a lot of choke points and you see some people get frustrated. The walking flow is from South to North, and if you try to go the other way, you are going against the grain. There is at least one guy in the meat department who shouldnt be interacting with customers. And in general, the employees dont seem all that happy. I have shopped there for over a year now, but I cant wait for the Whole Foods to open on Renner. The WF over on Preston is nice, but a bit of a drive for me.

This is the place Whole Foods tries to copy. Run by the HEB Grocery chain (arguably the best in Texas, but isnt in the DFW area yet). Huge selection of gourmet prepared deli food, in-house hot food service, high end meats, sea food, imported foods, HEB branded Texas style products (highly recommended), etc. Need 10 pounds of Wagu ribeye steaks? No problem. USDA Prime steaks? Yup. Best produce in Texas, and lots of it...Check. They have the best of the best. You get what you pay for...so its not cheap, but extremely recommended. The HEB ice cream is OUTSTANDING.

Great grocery store! When I lived in central Texas, HEB always had amazing prices and Central Market is no different. The produce department has an amazing variety with their prices being very reasonable for the quality. I usually find produce cheaper here than at Kroger or Tom Thumb. Meat department is pricy, but they have all natural, no preservatives selection. Boxed items, dairy, baked goods, personal care are all definitely pricy but youll find items here you will never find at any other store. Overall great store. Here everythings definitely better!

I love this Central Market because of all the amazing products they have that you cant find anywhere else. I especially love their hot soup selection, and their cold pastas. Also their cakes are amazing, especially their Turtle Cheesecake - its delicious! The only reason they didnt receive the fifth star is because they are a little too expensive - I know this is the same for all their other locations, but seriously they should reduce their prices for at least some of their items, or at least give discounts/coupons!

This is the grocery store that I frequent most and there hasnt been a time where my expectations were let down. I hold Central Market to a high standard and they always come through. I typically go with their ready to go foods or the make your own sandwich or burger. There is a wide variety of dip that everybody hasnt had a million times and their meat selection is always top notch. Friends from out of town are envious.

Lots of variety- fresh organic produce some are overly priced. good selection at Meat and Fish counters, with weekends having wider selection of fresh. Bakery has cut back on its items currently offered. It used to be better with its variety of baked goods. Too expensive for what is offered. selection in Houston is far better. Staff is exceptionally Pleasant and customer service is top-notch

Shopping here is like buying groceries in a corn maze. Sections are separated by high walls. If youre lucky, you might find the shortcut. The labyrinthine layout leads to people planting themselves in the middle of the narrow aisles. Dont go to this store if you want to get in and out quickly! They have a lot of nice food but the lab rat maze store design doesnt make me want to look and linger.

I was expecting something that was more in line with the HEBs that Ive been to but I found something that was far closer to a farmers market. Central Market is a beautiful store with wonderful meats, sea food, produce and people but it is a little limited in regards to my standard grocery shopping trip. I think it will be more of a special trip destination versus a weekly shopping venue for me.

Easily my favorite place to shop for groceries in Dallas. They have the freshest produces and a wide selection of pricier products you just wont find at your typical grocery store. My favorite items are their cheese offerings which keeps me coming back for more. But there is the meat, bread, pastry, wine, beer and so much more of products which make this place easily a 5 star in Dallas.
