I came into Guido Lumber and had a need for a part to a door system that is no longer made. The counter man understood what I wanted. This piece is worth maybe $10 if you can find it. He took my number then the next day, he called and said he found something that might work. I went over there and, sure enough, he had found it. He wasnt sure what to charge, but before he could make up his mind, I gave him enough money to cover it and left. He seemed surprised that I was so grateful. How could I not be? He probably had to ask two or three people if they had anything that would work, so there was a lot of effort involved in finding it. That is exceptional service, esp. since I have never been there before. I am new to the community but knew the family name and their fine reputation. I grew up in my dads lumber yard, and was in charge of clean up, if you know what I mean. When I drove in, I noticed that the place was immaculate. This place has a great culture of service and quality.
