I cannot even give this place a one star. The colorist was very nice, but my experience was very disappointing. I was told the color would stay on about 25 minutes but it was much longer when she came back to wash my hair and place on the toner. The hair washing was terrible. The color is okay but the colorist did not care whether I came back or not. The hairstylist for a haircut was awful. She was very nice but that is about it. When I told her I wanted to let my hair grow a little bit, but I still wanted it shaped and have some of the fullness taken out of the back, she did not due this. I also told her I have two cowlicks and she did not comment. She parted my hair and did not comb it through to see how it was cut. She told me she was going to do a dusting, but that she would blow dry it first, then cut. As she proceeded to cut my hair I told her I round brush the hair completely to give it fullness. This did not happened. No clips, no sectioning off of the hair to blow dry it professionally. Instead she dusted the hair and then blew dry using a large round brush. Never once did she check to see if the cut was even or ensure she did a good job. When she blew dried the hair she was drying it as if I had long thick hair. There was no volume, shine or styling. When leaving, I asked for a product that could give me some volume as I was running low at home. I purchased a product that I was told would work well. When I got home and read about the product online (because the print was too small on the bottle) it said the product was ideal for medium, thick and course hair. My hair is very fine and not thick at all, so I returned the product. When I got home in the afternoon my husband told me my hair looked better before I went to get it done. I called and spoke to the Owner who said she would refund my money for the hair cut. That is not the point. The point is how they make you feel that they could not care less whether you are satisfied or come back again. I wanted my hair to look like it was professionally cut and beautifully styled, such did not happened. I spent $85.00 for color, $77.00 for a haircut, plus tax and they asked me for a tip. I left $30.00 which was a mistake. When I told the Owner the hair cut women spent less than 5 minutes cutting my hair her reply was she works very fast. I spent over $200.00 and was extremely disappointed. I will not go back. I am 57 years old and have lived in New York, Houston, San Antonio and traveled the world and have never been treated so poorly. I do not recommend the Hair Studio Sonterra Salon.

I cant even give this one star because of how upset I was with what they did to my hair. I have been to other salon to permanently straghtened my hair but unfortunately they have closed down already so I give this salon a shot. I saw the reviews and they look like they are very respectable salon. I was so excited because they do Perm Straight style. The stylist was really nice and all but I wasnt happy with the result. I know the rules of having permantly straight hair, and one of it is no washing for 3 days. I didnt wash my hair till the 4th day just to make sure i get the best results. I didnt even go outside the house so I make sure the humid wont ruin my hair. I slept with my face down so I make sure i wont bend any strand of my hair. But when the time comes I washed it I notice i still have curly hair! Looks like nothing changed. I asked them if they can fix it for me an they said they can but give it a couple of weeks to be fixed! I am going to the philippines for vacation! And I wont have time to fix my hair. That is the reason why I came to this salon in the first place cause I gave you guys my 100% trust that youll do the same best experience I felt on the other salon ive been to. I rarely go to salons and I never get so disappointed in my entire life until now. I went to go back to the salon to get my refund but they kept insisting to fix it. Its already too late! You shouldvve done a better job in the first place. Thats the reason I want my hair done prettily so whenever i go for vacation in the philippines i will look good and not when I come back from the Philippines. I paid 300 and a good tip and this is what I get!. I just want my refund so I can go to the Philippines and have a REAL professional do my hair!

I called / texted on Sunday to make my appointment for Monday On the website they say they have a 49$ summer special cool..... Not specifying who the technician will be ..... So they told me if they would squeeze me in Monday at 1 that it would be 100 cause Jessica has more expierience so shes more expensive.. So I said fine cause I really wanted them done anyway.... I get there 20 min early because I live far an hour away so I took of early so I wouldnt be late... 40 min later 20 min past my initial schedule at 1:00 she sees me at 1:20 But Jessica gives me this ugly look and says no she cant because I had my kids with me.. Im new to this process so I didnt think my kids would be an issue I get my hair done all the time and they always welcome my kids I work from home and my husband work out of town all the time and Im alone in this city and I had to drive an hour to even get there! I actually told her okay give me a min let me see who I can call.. She just said well no cause I have an appointment later and I have to pick up my kid ..... I have never been turned away and treated like that ever I was livid .. I even called other lash places and asked if my kids would be a problem they said no and even said sorry for what this business did to me! If you must go remember the lady that told me to leave cause she didnt feel like it her name is Jessica a Mexican dark lady .. The place is actually a nice place and the receptionist was nice to but that lady was unprofessional and rude. I wasted a lot of time going there being early and even bending with paying more and still thats what I got .......

I have been a client at Hair Studio Sonterra since I moved to San Antonio about 4 1/2 years ago. Words can not express my appreciation for the professional services I received from Jenny and Yvonne as my stylists. Hair Studio Sonterra styled mine and the members of my bridal party hair on my wedding day. 3 stylists and Dana, the owner, came in on their day off on a Sunday to take care of us. The attention and extra treats (champagne and pastries/fruit) they provided to us started my special day off even more so. Everyone in the salon has always treated me with a first class welcome, from the second I step into the salon. Dana has always been wonderful to me. She makes sure you have a top-knotch experience. Anyone who walks by you caters to your need, whether it is for a water, soda, coffee or champagne or bite to eat. Extra bonuses include shopping for their Kerastase products and Circle E candles. My hair is in the best condition ever from using the Kerastase products that my stylists and Dana have recommended. I have recently relocated to Seattle, but have continued to see Yvonne and have her style my hair for the past 6 months, traveling back to San Antonio, because of the quality and professionalism she shows as well as the entire salon! The overall experience I receive every time I visit Hair Studio at Sonterra makes this a #1 salon for me.
