I recently moved from California and I am so grateful I met Joseph! I have a short hair cut that requires maintenance every 6 weeks- when I found myself in Josephs chair my trim was long overdue and I was rocking a helmet instead. It took only a few minutes before I could trust we were not only on the same page, but on the same letter- and I could sit back and relax. I came in styled as usual so he could see what an everyday look is like for me and he chose to do a dry cut- which I prefer because I have two cowlicks that always get overlooked. His movements seemed to makes no sense at all- kind of all over the place. But, like a scene out of Edward Scissorhands my hair was a masterpiece when he was through. There was no pressure to try something new or outside my comfort zone- Joseph simply made suggestions to enhance my original idea. He also explained his intentions for the cut (where we were going to let pieces grow out, and others thinned out and choppy) to reach the peak expression of my desired style. The women in the front were warm and welcoming upon arrival and made it effortless to set a appointment for the suggested time of 8 weeks. I am 25 and with this short style I left feeling confident, young, refined, and stylish rather than the 90s soccer mom I had come in looking like. (No offense to any soccer moms out there :) ) Joseph is truly a master. Hope you reading this have a wonderful experience too!

I want to start by saying that until today I had never had anything but 5 star experiences here. And then there was today. My stylist called out sick but since I had been waiting months for the appointment I agreed to stay and see someone else. When they described that it was going to be two different people because of their schedules I was hesitant but the woman working the front assured me that "they work miracles" so I agreed. The two stylists that worked on my hair were very kind but definitely rushed and preoccupied. I had come prepared with pictures of the balayage I wanted (very subtle) as well as the cut. When I came out from the heat there was nothing subtle about the color and it looked nothing like the picture. So we start with toner. Come out again and the color is way off, still way too light. So we go back to toner. This time its better and its been 4.5 hours so Im ready to get out. Then I have a third stylist drying my hair. She was very sweet but it seemed like she had never dryed hair before. Point of the story...5 hours and $200+ later I am going to another salon tomorrow to see if they can fix this blotchy, totally overdone balayage and give me the subtle look I requested. (They did comp some of the additional services like the conditioning treatment for my inconvenience. I do appreciate that.)

I have used K Charles for over ten years. Ive been to both the Stone Oak and Broadway locations. Ive never received a bad cut. However, once I wasnt completely happy with the cut, after I tried to style it myself for a few days. I was very nervous to complain, because I didnt want to create a bad rapport, or have someone who was angry with me recut my hair. I did finally call, and the manager was very nice, and she scheduled me for a recut. I was still nervous, because I was scheduled with the same stylist, and I was concerned she would be annoyed. I was wrong to worry. She was incredibly nice, she understood exactly what I didnt like, and she fixed it right up. I would NEVER trust my hair to another salon. Also, I am horrible about scheduling last minute appointments, so I have tried many stylists with different levels of experience, because I take whoever has an available slot. Apparently, K.C. has excellent standards for employment, because it doesnt seem to matter which stylist I use, Im always happy.

I called and scheduled an appointment on Tuesday for this Friday for a haircut and ombre coloring. I informed them I had to be at work downtown at 2:45pm that Friday and the lady assured me it wouldnt be an issue and recommended an 11:30 am appointment. To get a free consultation and to get everything done. I arrive and they perform the consultation and then said I was only scheduled for a haircut and there wasnt enough time to do everything before I had to leave for work. (I never color my hair so thats why I asked when I scheduled If that would be enough time.) I got a haircut for 53 bucks and didnt even get it blow dried or styled with the price. It was wet and she was like well I added layers but u cant see it since ur hairs wet. It would be nice to see the final product how it looks dry before paying $53 bucks for a haircut and leaving to work with my hair wet. Didnt really feel like my needs were prioritized.

Absolutely great experience here after transferring over as a customer from the Spring Branch location. My stylist helped make cutting off about 14inches of hair a much less traumatic experience. Its looks great and Ive received tons of compliments! Only downside was I scheduled online and entered in the comment box that I also wanted a botanical treatment, but time wasnt aloted for this by the workers upfront. No big deal, Ill call and ensure its entered correctly for next time. Not the stylists fault either by any means. And they were not pushy sales people about the products either. My appointment was about me and not pushing a ton of products (which by the way, speak for themselves!).

Im extremely happy to have found this salon! Joseph did an amazing job on my balayage, and was able to considerably lighten my hair (which has been dyed several different shades of brown over the last year) without causing further damage. The highlights blend beautifully and the color compliments my skin tone perfectly. His talent and level of professionalism are very evident in the end result. The salon was inviting and the service was excellent- a fantastic experience from start to finish. I highly recommend!

I love the customer service and my stylist so much, that even though I do not live in the area anymore, I drive out of the way for the services here. I have fine curly/wavy hair and I am never disappointed with the recommendations and cuts I receive. Thats not to mention the head message you get while you are getting your hair shampooed, which makes the experience that more enjoyable!

After having a horrible experience box dying my hair into this nasty mud color. Joseph Garcia and his staff did an excellent job fixing my hair with minimal damage! They paid closely attention to what would work best for my hair and made me comfortable through the entire process.. very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I left a happy customer!

The Best! Staff is very attentive. My stylist Liz is friendly but most importantly TALENTED! She always offers suggestions and listens to what I want. My hair always looks amazing after my appointment. The true test though is getting numerous complements in the days just before my appointment when my hair is at its worst.

Tanya is AMAZING with curly hair!! Please, do your curls a favor and take them to Tanya! They will thank you for it! Ive always had a pleasant experience in the salon. The team is very friendly and welcoming to new and frequent guests whether you need a complete makeover or a simple brow wax! I highly recommend them!
