An all time low for this place and their company. Ive been charged for 2-1/2 years for my deceased wifes account. Only way I found this out was when James at this facility called telling me that my wifes account was past due and he needed a new credit card so that he could bill it. Wow! What a surprise whe Im told I didnt cancel her membership. I know that I did as I had made a list after her death of everything that had to be cancelled that was in her name. Also, earlier in the week I called their corporate office and gave some inept individual a new card to bill my account which coincidently happened to be the same account my wife!s membership was on. This inept person could not/would not tell me then about my wifes account. When I went to the facility yesterday James told me that my wifes account hadnt been canceled and no record found so it was basically just too bad for me. Well people, there are other ways to resolve this in a professional manner and I am pursuing this method. Please everyone that has lost a spouse or significant other that their membership was being direct billed be sure and when you cancel that membership take all precautions necessary to protect yourself. Plenty of other facilities in the area and most are even less $$$.

There is a grave amount of sexual misconduct, fraternizing, and unsavory business practices occurring there. Weve tried contacting LA Fitness management & corporate about it. They would nt even answer our calls. Ive witnessed employees with staff members on their laps @ the front desk amid checking in. My wife shared with a staff member that an employee by the name of Manny, was physically placing himself against a female amid a training session. Hes still staffed there and steadily attempting to sleep w/ patrons & staff members. (My family & I see it every other visit.) My daughters have been hit on by staff members nearly every time they attend(theyre under 18). A female who is not employed there has been been seen weekly sitting on the counter straddling her boyfriend( member of management) during business hours. Also, we witnessed an employee use derogotory language including the f-word @ a patron. We spoke with the patron, and hes reported the employee named Brenner, the incident, & that location to the BBB. This is all occurring with children there in the facilities & in front of two schools.

I wanted a membership to L.A. Fitness and was served by Bill Latimer, who was the manager at the time. After the introduction, we sat down to discuss my goals and the club rates. He insisted that I got on to a trainer program. The rates, for my budget, were steep I told him. I also informed him that because of my job and the unpredictable schedule, I might not be able to commit. Latimer wouldnt budge and still insisted that I got on a trainer program. I caved. It started out okay, but my schedule soon made it harder for me to commit to my appointed dates and I was forced to reschedule numerous times. Also, there were times when my trainer, Sherif, couldnt make it. MORE RESCHEDULING. Soon, my full one year train program was coming to an end, with TWO DOZEN UNFULFILLED appointments left over. On my last workout day, my "trainer" tore my workout book I paid for in half. He said "gee, I didnt think youd need this". Im out $2,000 and ZERO RESULTS. Fair warning: sign up for a training program at your own risk because its a SCAM!!!

Clean facility, nice trainers at this location. However, Do NOT get Personal Training with them unless youre ok with losing all the paid session if you have to cancel out of the contract. I have 38 remaining and they said I only have 3 days to use them. I asked if they could at least refund maybe half of them - flat out No. That part of the details were NOT discussed when I signed up. For that, Im extremely disappointed at LA Fitness for this policy and for not disclosing that when signing up. Ive had my membership with them since about 2008, thats 8 years of monthly membership dues for freaking nothing !! Ask many questions before getting suckered into this portion of having a gym membership. You can do a LOT of workouts at home anyways - YouTube it, I have. Needless to say, I cancelled out of it all.

Its a shame that they are not taking care of their physical plant. Half the lights in the ceiling are burned out. The name of LA FITNESS NEVER has all the letters lit and many of the sconce lights around the outside of the building are burned out (for a verrrrry long time). I only do cycling and that facility is TOTALLY ignored by the staff. There are at least 2 bikes that have been broken for a loooong time. Also, the sound system in the cycle room has not worked right for over 2 or 3 years. Reports are obviously being ignored. Its a cheap system and wouldnt cost that much to replace it. If the sound system isnt repaired, Im seriously going to look at 24-Hour. Theres too much competition in gyms not to make the experience somewhat pleasant.

Awful, ignorant staff. Been a member for over two years, attend five days a week. Had a friend get a free pass and took her to try and get her to join. Instead, they kicked me out saying I was training her. They are SUPPOSED to walk you through and show you how to use the equipment your first time. Instead, no one was around to show her how to SAFELY, PROPERLY use the equipment so instead of her hurting herself, I showed her how to use it. Needless to say I have cancelled my membership and she isnt joining. In addition to their rude staff, the restroom/locker/shower area is disgusting, and the machines are broken literally months at a time. Much better to find an alternative, especially if signing a contract. Thankfully I was not locked into one.

I have been a member of LA Fitness for 2 years and this location has been great so far. I have been given great instruction and attention by my personal trainer. Additionally the staff is friendly and says hello when I come in to workout. Although Bill in Training is not my trainer, he constantly checks in with me to see how I am progressing with my goals and provides tips and advice. On occasion a couple of the treadmills and/or elliptical machines have been out of order, but they are repaired in a reasonable amount of time. I wish they had later hours on the weekends. The facility is kept picked up although the locker room/restroom could be a little cleaner. I have recommended LA Fitness to friends and will in the future.

My family moved to the area over a year ago and have been here ever since. We love this gym! Between training with Sherif and the awesome support and advice from Bill Latimer and Manny I have achieved beyond what I ever imagined possible! When I walk in the door Im always greeted from the friendly workers at the front desk. You can tell James has done a great job with this staff! I also see the staff actively picking up and making sure the weights are always properly racked. I feel safe leaving my kids with the great people in the Kids Klub, my kids love coming here and my husband always says he would never leave this gym. Thanks LA Fitness Klein. We are glad to be a part of this fitness family!
