I AM DONE WITH THIS GYM. I loved it at first, with its great classes, locker room, teachers and trainers and was willing to over look the management issues. HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS: I have had issues with the management from day one, when I had my initial appointment with the staff member and was asked inappropriate personal questions in an attempt to sell me their products, not a good first impression. Their high pressure sales approach left no room for me to go home and discuss the financial contract with my husband. I was able to over look all that because I really liked the gym. "FREE PASSES" for friends looked great until they got in there, and were told that before they can use their "free pass" they have to have a "tour of the facility" which ended in a little office up front with high pressure to sign up RIGHT THEN. Ive been so embarrassed by all that, that I havent recommended it for a long time. TOO HOT! The temperature fluctuates from day to day and room to room. During the winter it feels great, but as the temperature warms up outside, they are not willing to do what it takes to keep it cool especially during peek hours, and ironically, the cardio area is the warmest part of the gym. When I approached the management about it, Martha, all I got was 1/2 truths and a basic "deal with it" attitude. My ideas and recommendations of how the situation could be helped (which came from how other gyms deal with temperature) were laughed at. It says a lot when theres a HIGH TURN-OVER OF STAFF and I see teachers and trainers who arent happy with the management. But after a year, there are just too many issues for me to over look, and with that combined with the upper management who are rude and arent willing to work with me and help me find solutions, Im looking for alternative ways to exercise. Hopefully the management will change some day, and Ill consider returning.

DO NOT EVER SIGN A MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS GYM!!!!!! I can not stress that enough!! The pool is gross, there is not enough machines, the classes are never the same as whats on the calendar, and the "trainers" are a joke..you can tell half the time they are just making stuff up as you go. Its definitely not worth the amount you pay for them! Their customer service is the absolute worst! They are the nicest people until they rope you in..then its all downhill. First they get you by signing you up for whatever special they are running that month. For me it was $10 each month for 1 year. Then after that year is up, with no heads up they start automatically drafting the full membership fee..which is over $30. Then we I tried to call and cancel my membership they tell me I have to send a certified letter stating why you wish to cancel to their corporate office (within 30 days from your last payment or they charge you again!). To me, that seems extremely inconvenient to do just to cancel a gym membership! I went online and serched their website and found nothing about having to send a cancellation letter. I called the gym (spring location) and asked to speak to the manager. The girl up front puts me on hold then comes back and tells me "they are all busy, you can call corporate". I refused and demanded to speak with someone. After being placed back on hold I was able to speak with a manager and explained that nowhere on the website does it say I have to send a certified letter, only that I had to go to the center and fill out a termination form. She only apologized and stated thats how its always been done and she was unsure why it was saying that online but she would look into it.

Ive been going to this gym for well over a year. It rocks. Great cost, although apparently I could have saved a ton of money on my initiation fee. I found that out talking to other members. Im not too upset because the gym is a very high quality gym for a very low cost each month. I really like the fitness dance class. The girls in there are really motivating to work out with and the class is so fun. The music is way too loud, I might go prematurely deaf if I dont invest in earplugs soon. My main complaint would be that they dont have enough free weights. The free weights they do have are always being hovered around by the personal trainers and their trainees. Ive only had one negative experience with customer service, its when I asked a trainer about a promotion they had going on and then declined. Later while I was working out, she gave me a look like I dont know what Im doing. I didnt see her around after a few months so Im assuming she was fired for being a horrible person. I dont think one bad experience triumps all of the other positive experiences Ive had the rest of my 1 year and 5 months at the gym though. Ive always found this place to be clean and well maintained. Its so pretty and enjoyable that going to the gym is the best part of my day. All of the other members I talk to at the gym seem to find this place a great deal. I think people that dont really work out at the gym or just join and have a bad experience and then quit get on here and give bad ratings. I cant understand why this place doesnt have at least a 3.5 rating. I dont really like rating places, but I had to get on here to defend this gym!

Overall I like this gym, but the cons are starting to outweigh the pros for me. You have to worry about your phone or iPod being stolen if you dont keep it on you at all times. There was a girl that was arrested for stealing while we were in the middle of a cycling class. They constantly have some type of tacky theme going on in the gym with dollar store balloons and decorations everywhere including all over the equipment you are trying to use. They also have vendors come in and sell clothing and cheap jewelry. They set up booths right in front of the machines and you have to work out around the sellers sitting in front of you staring at you. They constantly interrupt the gym to use the PA system just to tell people they have a call. The gym isnt big, they are just too lazy to find the person and would rather annoy everyone else. They allow people to talk on the phone in the sauna and refuse to put up a sign reminding people to not do this. (other gyms Ive been to have always had a sign) The trainers are a joke. I watched as one young red headed trainer sat on her phone on Facebook for 10 minutes while her older client was working out asking her if she was doing the work out right, the trainer wasnt even paying attention to the poor lady. This gym is constantly trying to sell you something. When you walk in the door you have to walk around tables that are set up with their sketchy work out supplements. The biggest turn off when we first signed up was the manager trying so hard to sell us her products.
