Generally I have had a positive experience since this place became Extra Space Storage. The people manning the office at the facility are good to work with. One thing that everyone should be aware of when renting a storage space is that the facility will cram an insurance cost on your bill. You can use your own insurance (homeowners or renters) and if you provide satisfactory evidence of coverage, their insurance will be removed. They dont tell you this though so you have to be assertive. The facility is pretty clean and accessible. I gave four starts because of the insurance issue and the rates are a little steep so you need to negotiate. Overall this is a good facility and I would recommend them.

LOOK NO FURTHER!! Extra Space Storage in the Woodlands,TX is affordable and accommodating to all your needs! Joe, at the West Branch Crossing Drive facility, is amazing. Joe made sure I was very informed about their storage services. He made sure I had the right storage at the right price. Customer service is very important to me and I have to admit I received the highest level of customer service at this location. Thank you Extra Space for an awesome experience, and thank you Joe F. for going the extra mile to make sure I had everything I needed for my storage needs.

Joe at the west branch -Sir You ROCK!... Relocating my family to TX and he made it easier than I could have ever dreamed. Not only was he just a genuine nice person, as soon as I told him my situation he contacted a local Extra Space in my city and had them get the papers ready so I could go in and get signed up, I didnt have to do anything. THEN the lady at my local area was just as nice and helpful. Just a great experience all around as I have had large storage units as parts of my business for many years.. Ive never had the great customer service I received here!

they sold me a 40$ monthly insurance policy and neglected to tell me that my current homeowners policy should cover my things. i called customer service to have them remove the revolving cost and they are having me provide proof that i have insurance, which on declarations must specify. what a joke. not trustworthy and will not rent from again. Update 7/21: insurance to this day has not been removed. the location manager hung up on my wife when she called to get it taken care of. this place is horrible.

I cannot thank Joe Federico & Christine Branch enough for all their help during my recent move into storage for the first time. Christine made the arrangements from 1000 miles away as I prepared to relocate to The Woodlands & Joe showed me the ropes of locating my unit & how to make sure it was locked when I left. They made the transition easy and pleasant. They are both friendly, with a quick smile & willingness to help & explain. The facility is spotless.

Robert Graves was absolutely wonderful! We just went through Hurricane Harvey and lost our new home and he was so wonderful with helping us get space for our belongings. Extra Space is even accommodating customers for the first month of storage, an absolutely amazing place to make you feel comforted during such a hard time, for everyone. Our experience with ESS was quick & efficient. After our initial quote, Joe knew us by name and had us in our unit within 20 minutes. Their policies (10 day notice) are very flexible and gave me peace of mind not knowing how long wed need the storage. The unit is immaculately clean, easy-to-access, well air conditioned and seems very secure. Id go with ESS again should the need arise.

I loved using this storage space. They gave me the right price that was affordable for a newly graduated college student and had everything automated with constant notifications of the payments and letters notifying if the price was changing or the ownership changed. I had to leave due to elevated pricing over the years but I would definitely recommend this place!

Joes service is second to none. I went through a very difficult time and was unable to pay my bill for awhile. He was understanding and compassionate, and worked with me to help me become current. Its very rare in todays business climate to truly embody the concept of Customer Service, but in my opinion no one does it better. Dont go anywhere else!

Storage facility is clean and convenient. Prices are lower than the competition (believe me, I looked at every other reputable facility haha). The Management is nice and accommodating, and they provide great customer service. Will recommend to all family and friends for future moving/storage needs!

The female manager who works here is a complete nightmare to deal with. Completely unprofessional and very rude, and I would almost go so far as to say shes a mental case. I will never do business with this woman, and will never do business with this facility until she is no longer employed here.

Joe and Sam were a big help, very honest and upfront about what their policies are and the options they have. Security is fantastic and happy to know there is always someone on site. Glad to be renting a storage from them! And the flat carts are a big plus when moving your stuff in!

Clean facility, however, be VERY careful on your rates and pay close attention to detail. Our unit floor was changed after reservation in order to be excluded from the promotion. It is also a hassle if you want to provide your own insurance for the unit.
