Very unethical business practices happen in Magnolia Realty in Waco! My mom and I put in a bid for a house that was represented by them. First thing they did was tell our realtor that we had to agree to $4000 earnest money which is not standard but we agreed and they accepted our bid. When the contract was sent to them to be signed they sent it back with the change that our loan had to be approved within 10 days and if it wasnt approved in that time frame then their seller could pull out and keep the $4000 earnest money! Average time frame for loan approval is 20 days. When our realtor called Magnolia about this, the Magnolia realtor insisted it could be done and wanted us to go through her lender to do it. My mom was already pre-approved through her own lender. Even though we had the letter stating my mom was pre-approved, the Magnolia realtor insisted she wasnt. It is our belief that the seller got a better offer after he accepted ours and Magnolia was helping him to make us pull out, which we did. If that wasnt the case then they were just helping him swindle us. I am extremely disappointed with this company. My mom absolutely loves Fixer Upper and it is unnerving to know such unethical people have been hired. If anyone in that company reads this I do know the name of the realtor who pulled this stunt. As for now I would recommend that people use Maegan Pennington at Greater Waco Realty instead. Our realtor protected is from Magnolias unethical practices and fought hard for us.

Lindsy was so kind and helpful. We had originally contacted her about a property she had listed and ended up going with somebody elses listening but she still help this get the house for us. She went above and beyond for us, she is very sweet, she even had our house completely clean before we moved in.

Used them back in 2008 after my house burned and wasnt quite sure if Id rebuild or not. Prices on the ones behind Oak Crest were extremely high for something so small whether or not on personal property. The people were nice though which I did appreciate.

We love watching this show. They do such a wonderful job finding property and remodeling for them. It makes me feel like move to Waco and ask Joanne and Chip help to purchase and remodel the house for us. Not sure if Waco is too humid for us.
