This location was exceptionally awesome when we visited. Not sure what happened but theyve vanished from town seemingly overnight. The El Pollo Loco Android app lists their status as CLOSED on my old order information. I discovered this terrible news earlier today when Id been trying to place an app order for lunch. According to a Yelp review, the building in town is empty and all the signs have been removed as *they* discovered when stopping to grab some food. RIP Waxahachie El Pollo Loco. Youll surely be missed. ~lights funeral pyre consisting of approximately four and a half tons of El Pollo Loco coupons~ But seriously... I have, quite literally, over twenty five coupons sitting here. *Good* coupons, not the ones you generally get. You know, the typical crappy coupons that restaurants usually hand out; take a buck off any order over seventy five dollars, family dining discount (free beverage for mom!) for the Friday Night All You Can Stomach Sheep Scrotum and Salad Bar, free dirty fork with purchase of four full price premium adult entrees. (Coupon bearer will receive a digital code which unlocks the "Dirty Fork" avatar accessory. Avatar accessories only available to paid premium club members. All qualifying items must be purchased together on a single ticket. One accessory code awarded per ticket, per party.) This sucks.

Afternoon of Memorial day - mistake. The avocado tacos saved it from disaster. The "crispy" tacos were really bad, with burned-black spots, really hard (and old) shells - think they were leftovers. The filling was almost nothing, a few rock-hard dry pieces of chicken. It was our first time - probably our last. There were two, if not three, employees who had to see our order as it was prepared, yet decided that the quality was good enough. "Yeah, thats good enough for them." McAllisters, next door, appreciates our patronage 4-5 times a month. The food is excellent. The tea actually has flavor. The managers pay attention to whats being served to the patrons. We went there for a nice dessert and good tea. Pollo Loco is probably going to have real tough time . .after the "newness" wears off.

I really enjoy this place! Ive never seeked out "Healthy" fare, just so you know. When I dont know what I want for lunch I often poke around at their web site. I find things that look delicious and filling every time... and good for me! Im getting points from my wife for trying to eat better when Im not really trying! Thank you Crazy Chicken! The food, from the vegetables to the chicken, is very fresh. Facility is comfortable and spotless. The crew, well lets say the place isnt very old yet so theyre still ironing out a few procedural wrinkles... Extremely apologetic in the process of correcting a minor oversights though so I dont hold this against them. El Pollo Loco is a very welcome injection of delicious variety in my lunch life!

I am from California and I grew up eating el pollo loco. I took my wife and kids to the location in waxahachie Texas for the first time and hyped it all up to my family. The first time we went there they said there were closed for water issues. So we left. Still wanted to go back though. So its a week later and today I took my family there got in line and ordered a family meal and the manager rudely said chicken wont be available for 45 minutes. Not friendly at all. Chicken not available for 45 min. 2 tries and still no shot at tasting the great chicken I remember the place for. Better wait until we go to cali on a trip to eat the chicken. He said u can order tacos. I dont want tacos I want el pollo loco. Really sucky experience.

One of our favorite places to eat in Waxahachie. Great food, great service, great people. Management is very sincere about delivery excellent quality and value. The food is delicious and healthy. We come here at least twice a week because it works so well on our diet, and you cant beat the value. We lived in Southern CA 25 years ago and loved EPL out there. Imagine our excitement when we found they were coming here. Its every bit as good as I remembered! P.S. I tried the Baja Shrimp for the first time tonight. Outstanding!

the food was amazing never a problem with quality. yesterday i was eating just a little before noon i forgot to say i did not want coleslaw so i approach the counter and wait for assistance. a man helped me and as he corrected my error i hear a woman (older woman) say she wasnt going to make my "f" order again cause i am too "stupid" to ask for no coleslaw i was highly disrespected i told the girl on counter i would be filing a complaint and she apologized for the rude tasteless woman .

Came to one of the usual places that I have lunch at and ordered an avocado chipotle burrito (like always). As I was eating it, the lady cleaning the tables asked me how it was (since she was the one that made it for me). I had a bite, found all that cheese she stuffed in it, and was IN HEAVEN. Best burrito Ive ever had in Texas! Kuddos to Elizabeth! If you love cheese in your burrito, you know who to ask to make you it for you.

At first glance from the outside it seems pretty cute for a restaurant that specializes in making their chicken the best in town. When I walked in the atmosphere shifted to a calm, almost zen kind of garden without the plants. The prices are super affordable and the food is sure to leave you without any hunger! 20/10! If I go again, Im sure to leave with a smile from there excellent service!

DONT COME HERE! This is my 3rd time coming and having to wait 40 mins for chicken to be ready!! The place is called "Pollo" for a reason how are you not gonna have chicken ready?!?! And they always mix up our orders! I love pollo loco but this place has officially ruined it

I got a salad, and it was straight lettuce. No vegetables whatsoever. Some lettuce pieces were brown. I added some chopped tomatoes from the salsa bar for vegetables; they were soured. My husband and friend also did not enjoy their burritos. Was definitely not impressed.

Went to get soup and a taco for lunch, I asked for chips for my soup and didnt get my chips. And I did ask the lady,at the drive through if she gave me my chips and she said yes. Get back to work, ooops no chips! Love the food !

Amazing fast service food with a great staff and a multitude of dining options. Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious. Also notably less expensive than competitor Chipotle. The avocado is standard.

Go here at least 2 time a week. Wish they had more locations or a closer one. I live in Lancaster but dont mind the drive. Place is clean and staff is fast and friendly.
