If I could give them zero stars I would. You are better off going to MandieSue. Its really sad to see what Reflections (now called Tantrum) has become. They must have changed the name to reflect the behavior of the salon owners, because they throw the biggest TANTRUMs over there. Now dont mistake me, the stylists there are all incredibly amazing, so its disappointing to experience firsthand that the owners of this salon literally chase clients away with their patronizing and demeaning manner. I tried to be understanding of the situation, but after describing my experiences to the stylists at another salon, as well as my family members (who are industry professionals), I know that I was egregiously mistreated by the horrible owners of this salon. I went in to get my hair done by a friend after my regular hair stylist at a different salon accidentally over-booked her schedule, and then couldnt get me in before my moms wedding. I called a stylist at Tantrum and told her I was in a bind and thankfully she could fit me in the day before my moms wedding. We were lightening my hair and by the end of the appointment it was way more orange than it should have been, but we both ran out of time and she told me to come back the next morning. The next morning she couldnt fit me in because she also had a wedding to go to, but assured me she would get me in with another stylist. I called the salon to get an appointment scheduled and Mike (the owner) refused to schedule me with another stylist, even after one of the stylists there said she could fit me in. Mike was adamant that I only see my original stylist, even after I explained the situation to him. He then proceeded to question me for coming in to lighten my hair at the last minute (even though I had a reasonable excuse with the over-booking by my regular stylist) and because Ive been sick and dealing with cancer treatments, I hadnt been getting my hair done so I had over eleven weeks of regrowth in both my roots and my tape in extensions. OF COURSE I would need my hair done before my moms wedding, so thank you Mike, for being incredibly rude about that particular part of the situation. Additionally, I even told Mike on the phone that I thought he and Sandy had been incredibly demeaning in their conversations to me and he responds "Well were just really matter of fact around here". Obviously, and its evident that you also dont want to retain any of your customers either. Good to know. The stylists are all friendly, and one of them is even a friend, but when I was getting my hair done last week, I was so poorly treated by the owners that I will never ever ever ever give them my business ever again. Shame on you, Mike and Sandy Malais. I can see the other reviews online and it looks like Im not the only one who has been mistreated by you two. If you continue to treat your clients rudely and intentionally try to make them feel dumb when issues arise, you will surely run what was once a great salon into the ground in no time at all. Congratulations for your poor business sense and poor treatment of your clients. UPDATE After seeing Mikes response I would like to reiterate that this experience would have been better if Mike and Sandy hadnt been so rude. I didnt just come in and demand I go from a level 2 to a level 8- the appointment was originally booked for highlights. My stylist was the one who offered to do something more drastic and assured me she could do it in the time allotted. My stylist is also the one that offered to come in the next morning for a second appointment, I never asked her to. But once she offered, I let the salon know that was the plan. I am also disappointed that Mike would name names of the stylist involved when thats exactly what I wanted to avoid. Mike, I hope you will consider editing that portion of your response. In any event I went over to MandieSues AF location the next morning and Kalen fixed my hair in two and a half hours. Definitely not as impossible as youre making it sound? Should have just booked me with another stylist.

I feel like the only people who rate places are those who had awful experiences, which makes the salon look bad and the owners have to post long explanations. My experience was excellent! I dont do my hair very often at all, (maybe color it once a year, if that), but any time I do I dont trust anyone else to color it but my stylist Teresa at this salon. Shes a dear friend, and boy is she excellent. She always does exactly as I request and offers ways to make it look better. I dont know hair very well or what is in style necessarily, but she does! So I trust her when she gives me advice on what might look better. My most recent time coming in I had called her and told her I had a hair "catastrophe". I went with my sister to get her hair done somewhere where she lived, and ended up doing mine as well, thinking it would be alright, but I left with fried hair, not a pretty cut, or color, feeling ugly. so I ran to Tantrum Salon the following day and she fixed it the best she could with the picture I showed her. I was so happy! Really an excellent work done. I will not make the mistake of going somewhere else to get my hair done again.

I came to get my hair blended into a cool ashy blonde balayage, and was given very warm reddish roots and not much more blending like the picture I had shown the stylist. She tried to fix it on the spot, and it looked a little better, but I didnt realize how warm the color was until I went out into the sunlight. I called the next day to get it fixed, and it took the owner over a week to call me back. Unfortunately, by then I had been horribly sick with my pregnancy and wasnt able to hold anything down. By the time I felt better (1 month later), and am left with terribly brassy roots that I dont know what to do with. I understand that I wasnt able to come back for a revision from another stylist, but what I was given was not even close to what I had originally asked for and I was left extremely disappointed, even to this day.

It is now Eight zero one salon, and I honestly was impressed by this place. Jacqueline was my stylist and she did such a great job listening to what I needed and being willing to make any changes I wanted. My hair looks great, and she was so friendly and personable to talk to. I definitely recommend this place!
