I have been trying out hair stylists and salons in Utah County for the last 7 years. I have not found a stylist that I absolutely love, except one who moved to another state a couple years ago. However, every salon I have visited has been a nice experience. Friendly, clean, smells like hair products, etc. In my quest to find a stylist that I love, I found Relik Salon and their amazing reviews on Google, so I figured I couldnt go wrong. I called to schedule an appointment at Relik in American Fork a couple weeks ago. I told them I could only make a 4:00 PM appointment work because I needed to arrange babysitting for my kids and that was the only time it would work. I was told there was an opening at 4:00 PM on the following Tuesday with Julie. After asking about prices, I was told he could not find the price list for her so he was going to put me with Kylie instead. Before hanging up, he confirmed the appointment for 4:00 PM Tuesday with Kylie. That Tuesday, I arranged babysitting for my kids and drove the 20-minute drive to get to the salon. When I walked in, it smelled like sweat and did not put off a nice vibe. I have been to a countless number of salons and have never smelled anything like that. Anyway, I said I was there for my appointment with Kylie. The girl at the front desk seemed confused, then the salon manager came out and said Kylie was in doing eyelashes and wouldnt be out for a while. The salon manager acted annoyed like I had made a mistake. She started looking through the computer to figure it out and saw that I had been scheduled with Julie instead of Kylie. Then she said Julie doesnt work on Tuesdays, so it doesnt make sense for me to be scheduled with her. She called Julie anyway who said she didnt know I was on her schedule and that she couldnt come in because she had other things going on and obviously wasnt planning on being there. The salon manager then continues to seem annoyed. She doesnt apologize or anything and just asks if I want to re-schedule. I had driven 20 minutes to get there and had a babysitter for my kids, which I had already explained to her. The salon manager continued to seem annoyed the whole time we talk and said, "Oh the person you talked with must have just done it wrong." Yes, they did, but in the meantime...Im the one being inconvenienced here... She then checked with Kylie who said she would be willing to do it but wouldnt be able to even start for 20 minutes and her kids are at daycare where she is supposed to pick them up at 5. (Very sweet of Kylie to be willing to do that) I told them I would call to see if that would work for my sitter and then let them know. I made my phone call which confirmed it wasnt going to work. So, I waited a few minutes for the girl from the front desk to come back from chatting with her husband in the back to let her know it wasnt going to work and to see if they could do anything to rectify the situation. She said they couldnt do discounts because they are booth rent and then asked the salon manager who said she could give me a free product if I rescheduled with them. When I mentioned not wanting a free product and that I was considering seeing a stylist at the Orem location, she said she would call the owner to see what they could do and then get back to me. They havent gotten back to me and I assumed they wouldnt. Ok, so there was a scheduling mistake. These things can happen, but for the salon manager to not even apologize or act like she felt bad, especially since I didnt just walk a block down the street to get there, was very unprofessional and rude. I wont be returning to this salon.

Im writing this from my husbands account :)! Ive been going to Relik Salon for the past 2 1/2 years! Let me just say that I LOVE everything about it. First, my stylist is Mallory and shes amazing! I always get compliments on my color and cut. Shes a pro and so friendly and personable. Secondly, the entire salon just has a cool vibe about it. Mike, the owner, has created a great working environment and its just a fun place to be. I also love how all the stylists help each other and are all friends. Third, Relik is conveniently located not far off the American Fork Main Street exit off the freeway. Fourth, the majority of my family and friends now go here so that tells you how terrific it is! Keep up the great work, Relik Salon!

Ashley Cambra at Relik Salon is AMAZING!!! Ive been to a lot of stylists and have never had a better blonde color!!! Seriously, she is a color genius! The technique she uses is called balayage which is like hair painting and gives an incredible natural look without the typical striping of foils and hair that grows out perfectly so you dont have the obvious roots six weeks after!! Its really life changing for a blonde so you dont feel you have to get your hair colored every month! I can get my hair done quarterly now still loving my hair the last month!!! Shes really an expert and teaches classes on hair coloring :) I can not give Ashley enough stars!! Go to her once and youll never go to anyone else:)

Ive been coming to relik salon for about 5 months now. I initially came with dark hair wanting to change it to the white silver look. I knew it was going to take a lot of processes so I wanted somewhere good with someone I could trust and keep coming back to and thats exactly what I got. When I first called to set up an appointment Micah was very friendly and went out of her way to fit us in her schedule as fast as possible. From the first moment I came here if felt comfortable and cared about. Micah has been phenomenal with helping me achieve my hair goals and has been super patient with my wants and schedule. I have done 3 processes with her and will continue to come back!

My hair is long, dark, and curly and Ive had some bad experiences, so Im very selective about whom I have cut and color my hair. Mike at Relik is magical. Not only is he meticulous and methodical, but he has mad skills and he is a pleasure to talk to. I live in Boston, and it is definitely worth it to make sure I reserve time with him while Im in town. In regards to the salon, its a pleasure to visit--clean and always full of happy stylists and chic clients. Im excited to see their new Orem salon when their expansion work is complete

Ashley Cambra is the best color stylist that I have ever gone to. She is really incredible with reds. And has completely saved my hair. I also have her do my husbands hair and he wont go to anyone else. He has never liked his hair as much as he does now. Ashley always uses the best and newest products on my hair too. The Kin North America product line that she has used on my hair is the best hairspray that Ive ever used. I typically hate hairspray but this stuff made my hair so soft and helped to hold it in place forever.
