I have been playing at Soccer City for a year now and I would not play anywhere else. The facility is incredible, the Staff are Friendly and Helpful and its CLEAN. I rented the Party room and had my daughters birthday there in August and they had a blast. All the reviews I read about the Refs are more than likely the guys who didnt get a call their way and were thrown out of the facility, and while on their way out cussing up a storm in front of kids, including mine. I have seen it with my own eyes, so they go and write bad reviews but will more than likely be playing again the next round. I LOVE a facility that wont put up with that crap, sure, we all have calls that dont go our way, so does Real Salt Lake, but we come back and play because we have a love for the game! I have personally played against the management individuals and I think it is great that they are out there playing, it shows that they have a love for the game and its not just a job to them. My wife and I have participated in their Date Night open play and have brought tons of friends down to play, it was a blast. I will continue to play at Soccer City, I would recommend it anyone. My Wife and I will continue to play in the coed league and attend Date Night and my kids will continue to play there as well. This is a World Class Facility. -Lifelong Customer

This is exactly how it its... "If I could give 0 stars to bring down the rating at Soccer City I would! This place is a complete joke of a facility. They refs are absolutely the worst Ive seen. This is the second season weve played at Soccer City, which is our fault for not realizing that they wouldnt fix the issues after the first season. The problem is not that the refs are just bad but they also let things escalate between teams, and before you know it there are fights breaking out during the game which could seriously get someone injured or arrested because they are just there to make their $15. Also beware when signing up that if a refs will occasionally shows up late and you still pay the full $15 ref fees. If a team forfeits, Soccer City doesnt care! So basically you pay $70 (single game fee) to go stand around with friends at 11:30 at night. Seems reasonable that we be refunded that money in my eyes. They will randomly change your teams schedule the week of and simple send an email after people on your team have made arrangements to be there. These are the experiences weve had after a total of 11 games. And dont worry about making a complaint at the front desk because, the "person you need to REALLY talk to" is never there, making it easy for them to avoid all responsibility. BUYER BEWARE OF THIS FACILITY!!!!!!!"

If you are looking for a non-competitive place to play soccer, DO NOT sign up to play at Soccer City. I have been playing in the Coed D4 B League (now called the Friendly League) for the past 8 months. With the exception of a few games, every single game has been very unevenly matched. Management has promised that they will regulate the league to make it fair, but this obviously has not happened. I have zero confidence that it will EVER happen. For example, a game I played a few weeks ago, the goalie on the other team found it necessary to play up and as to further their lead. The score was about 7 - 2 at that point. And this is the Friendly League?? My team is full of people who have never played before and were playing against people that obviously played in high school and college. Want a fun place to play? Go play at Gardner Village instead.

Soccer City is a great place to play, and the location is great to boot! Pay no attention to the ones who say the reffing or management staff subpar. Reffing is always subjective to the ref, not a reflection on the management staff! Sure they call things one sided at times or miss a call or two. Anyone who thinks they get it right all the time needs their head examined! As far as the management staff goes, I have had nothing but good interactions, especially with Rick. Yes, this soccer facility does caters to many ages groups, but if you are a older, and a seasoned player, then you know full well that there is a balance between taking care of your customers and taking care of your business and staff! If you are taking the reffing and management staff that serious, then maybe you should get out of indoor and go join MU or Barsalona ;)

Soccer Citys new building is beautiful! Its so nice to have a brand new building here on the South end of the valley so we dont have to drive so far to Murray or Woods Cross where conditions/facilities are poor. The first indoor (winter 2012) scheduling wasnt too bad and this second session is much better (we dont play anyone twice and dont even get to play all the teams in our grouping). I think the first session was late to start so other teams were probably signed up elsewhere when SC opened last fall. No complaints about refs from our team. Id rate them a 8 out of 10 in terms of making the right calls and knowing indoor rules/calling fouls, etc. Looking forward to many more great seasons at SC in Draper!

I play for a couple of teams at Soccer City and a couple of teams at Timp Indoor. Soccer Citys facility is the best in the state. Clean, well lit and the management is better organized than Timp. The officiating is not as good as Timp Indoor and is, in fact, very spotty ranging from quite poor to good. There seem to be more poor officials than good ones. The turf at Soccer City used to drive me crazy at first, but I think it has improved a lot as it has gotten broken in. I still probably prefer Timps turf, but the difference is not big anymore. All they need to really work on is officiating (oh and I like that Timp keeps track of leading scorers).
