Please READ REVIEW COMPLETELY especially the UPDATE. I hired him because of the reviews here, I called him and explained what we were wanting to install specifically with description of the chandelier we had bought and told him the height of our ceiling and even asked if he was able to do a project like that (its a very heavy chandelier with lots of crystals). He showed up without a ladder when I specifically told him it was an 18 foot ceiling and asked US if we had one! To make matters worse he said he would have to leave and rent one, leaving us waiting in our still under construction home for about an hour and a half. When he finally came back he said he needed help and asked my husband to stay instead of calling someone else to help! 5 hours later, after making my husband basically do the work with him. He told us he couldnt do it and then asked to be paid for the time he spent GETTING THE LADDER which was his own fault for being unprepared and the time he spent where he accomplished NOTHING. My nice husband was flabbergasted but paid him. I was livid, now Im hundreds in the hole with no chandelier. He couldve told us that he couldnt do the job hours before. Completely unprofessional, unprepared and took advantage of us. A rip off, I really want my money back but most of all I want an apology for wasting my husbands time, making him work and then charging us for doing nothing. Unethical at the very least, fraudulent in my opinion would NEVER hire him. UPDATE: Shortly after I posted this review, Kyle not only replied, but actually drove over to our home and personally apologized for the situation. Not only could I tell he was incredibly sincere, but he explained that while my comments hurt him, he accepted responsibility and it has become a learning experience. I completely believe him. Not only did he refund us our money, he explained how he just wanted to make us as his costumers happy. Its a rare thing nowadays to find ethical business owners but I truly believe Kyle is one of them. I am a tough critic but I am also a firm believer in second chances when people own up to mistakes and learn from them. I think Kyle has learned from this. He certainly did that, based on character alone, Id be willing to give Kyle another chance. Its so important nowadays to hire people with integrity and moral fiber, I think its safe to say Kyle redeemed himself. The courage to just come personally to apologize not knowing the reaction hed get is commendable. I would recommend.

My power kept partially cutting out and I knew I had a big problem. I called Kyle at ASK-Electric and he came out the same day to check my situation. Long story short, I live in an older home and my electrical panel was on its last legs. I was in jeopardy of losing complete power to my house and it was a potential fire hazard. Kyle quoted me a fair price and worked me into his schedule taking into consideration the standard 10 day period to get the permits and power shut off, as well as his existing workload. I was looking at a long two weeks in August with no air-con, stove, or dryer (among other things). To my surprise, Kyle had taken the initiative to request and emergency shut off, expedite the process, and worked me into his busy schedule to get me taken care of the next day! He knew the critical situation and had gone above and beyond to make sure that the situation was taken care of, and my family and home were safe. I have found my electrician for life! His customer service and skill as an electrician cannot be beat!!!

Had a short that was preventing an air conditioner from working. Called six electricians. One rang without answer, one had a "Magic Jack customer is not available" message, one hadnt set up the voice mail, another had a voice mail greeting but didnt identify the company. Two others had "good" voice mail and took messages. Finally I called ASK Electric. A human being answered the phone! He scheduled me for the next evening (as he was booked out but would make an after hours call at no extra charge). Despite it being dark by the time he could arrive, and with bad weather (lots of lightning in the area after an earlier rain storm), he efficiently got the job done in about 45 minutes. Oh, and he charged me about 30% less per hour than the next best bid for the job. I guess the real question is "would I use ASK Electric again?" Heck yeah! You should too.

My husband and I needed electrical work done in our garage. We were not having luck finding a reliable electrician, until I found Kyles info for Ask Electric on KSL Classifieds. He was extremely professional, he was on time, he completed the garage work, and then he installed a grounded outlet in my bathroom. He was quick, thorough, and took care of all our electrical needs. His prices were very reasonable. He even spent some time discussing some outdoor electrical issues my husband was concerned about, and we plan on having him come back to install more lighting in our basement. We highly recommend Ask Electric and will be referring our friends and family if they are ever in need of electrical work. I like giving my business to small and local companies like Ask Electric.

We were very impressed with Kyle at ASK Electric. He updated our meter to support our HVAC system, and breaker box. He was very reasonably priced, especially for the quality that you get. He was very professional and reliable, in that he was on time for all of the appointments, always called us when he said he would call us, and communicated very well with us, as well as with our utility company. He answered his phone when we wanted to get a hold of him and was very helpful in answering all of our questions. He maintained a very clean work space, and put everything back to where it use to be. He did high quality work in a timely manner. He worked out in the hot heat, as well as our extremely hot, and dirty attic. We would highly recommend ASK Electric.

I was fortunate to find Kyle on Red Beacon (a web site associated with Home Depot) for some electrical work on a fix and flip property I am doing. He was able to do the work I requested promptly - and better yet, was able to make a suggestion for indirect lighting in the kitchen that has greatly improved the value of the home over the florescent lighting fixture that was there. He is prompt, thorough, and I plan to hire him again in the future. Great work Kyle - I truly appreciate your excellent, professional standards! Carlos Lomheim

Kyle at ASK Electric gave us a timely and affordable bid via Red Beacon (Home Depot). He did professional work and we appreciated his being personable, and wanting to be our electrician for the future, regardless of the size of the job. Give Kyle a call! On 6/10/14 Kyle came back as we had a faulty GFCI plug and needed it replaced. Kyle took care of that no charge. He also checked other connections to ensure no other issues.

Kyle was great to work with! He did a complete overhaul of the electrical service to my house and it looks great. He is very knowledgeable and explains everything very clearly. Feels good to know the job was done properly. Kyle was also very easy to communicate with and on time for both appointments he scheduled. I will be hiring him again for any other major electrical projects and I would recommend him to anyone.
