This is a unique review as I had a unique experience with the old (SolarTek) and new (Auric Solar). Roughly two years ago my husband and I purchased our current home and had/have many plans on bringing it back to life (House improvements and projects). One of our first improvements we wanted to make happen was solar and so we reached out to SolarTek. We really liked our sales rep and the process from start to finish was easy. After the solar panels were installed we began receiving emails from Enphase telling us how many trees we had saved by using the power from our Solar Panels. Basically the emails from Enphase tell you how much carbon you offset in the form of trees. Pretty cool. We did however have one issue back then. We have a membrane flat roof and the installers at the time unfortunately punctured several holes in our roof and after a rainstorm we saw some water leak into our living room. My husband and I didnt aggressively pursue any compensation for this mishap. We had contacted our sales rep at the time as well as the installers however since we were running out of time until the next storm came through. We rushed to choose a roofer to install a new roof. At the time we unfortunately didnt hear back from our Sales Rep or the Installers. I dont blame SolarTek for this. Something was missed and both myself and Auric truly dont know why we were forgotten at the time of the incident. Auric has since gone through some restructuring and no longer uses the installer that messed up our roof. Regardless, the point Im trying to make is this - although there was an issue with the Sales Rep at the time (No longer works for Auric) and with the installers (No longer install Solar for Auric) the people at Auric did everything they could to make this right. Again, had my husband and I been more aggressive in our attempts to get some kind of compensation for the punctured roof two years ago we may have been able to bring it to the attention of somebody who could have helped us. Sort of our own fault. Regardless, Auric just recently, through other means, caught wind that they had a previous customer (me) who had an issue and immediately began contacting my husband and I. I began to receive calls and emails from Auric asking to know what occurred. They were extremely interested in finding out what happened and how they could make it right. After only a week of correspondence Auric cut us a check in a very fair amount to help compensate for the damages that occurred due to the installers. They didnt have to as this happened two years ago! My husband and I were always happy with the solar and we understood that the punctures werent done by anybody on purpose. We knew it was a mistake and didnt fight anyone at the time to try and make it right. We simply want to be good people and help save the environment. Do our own part in making the world a better place. I was happy with SolarTek and Im even happier with Auric Solar. I appreciate Auric Solar for being a good and honest company. I will recommend Auric to anyone. Using the solar panels that have been installed on my roof for two years to power my home has been awesome. I really dont know why more people dont do this. It just makes sense. And if youre going to go Solar go with Auric! I can truly say from experience that they will do everything they can to make it work for you and if any mistakes are made they will do everything to make it right as they did for me.

March 16 So first I am an employee of Auric Solar but I am also now a customer! Also, sorry for the novel! Last Friday I had my system installed and I couldnt be happier. I feel like one of the things that make a company stand out is how many of there employees (that can/qualify) have there product by choice. In my position I always talked about how great of a company I worked for and how Auric Solar is the Gold Standard when it comes to grid tied solar and that feeling has only been strengthened. The initial process was made simple. My Wife and I recently bought our home 4 months ago as our first home. We bought our home with good credit but with little to no equity or utility history but with finance options that are exclusive to Auric I didnt need to rely on equity or have a scary gimmicky signature loan. I am well on my way to no paying RMP for my power anymore and in a year, to redirecting my current bill. To me Solar was FREE yeah FREE. Auric makes it easy to only use my expenses (taxes and ave bill to RMP) to pay for solar rather then an additional hit to my budget. My panel look Great! Dakota, My project manager as walked me through every step of the process and Josh Labarre and his Install crew were meticulous in their process. The system looks awesome not a single wire showing the took mine and more importantly my wifes options on how and where and top priority. They were extremely processional and take pride in their work and were fast. I even had some of my neighbors that work in construction that were surprised that it was done as fast as it was. Proud employee and super proud customer! P.S. Feb 15 Auric Solar did my parents system and could be happier with how they were taken care of. Solar was something they had alway wanted to do and when they started looking into it there we some big questions we had specifically about how affordable it really was. There team took the time to make sure all our questions were answered and they even provided custom payment and finance options that really made it not only better in the long run but from the start it was less that what they were paying for their power bill. The actual install process was great super professional and they only had to come out once, and the system looks great! definitely recommend them to any one looking. There were some hiccups here and there, being a construction project, but they made suer everything was right and did what they said they were going to do.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I heard great things, read great review, and got bids from several companies. Auric had the highest bid of all 5 companies (at $38,000), but they had the best reviews and answers and install team. I decided to spend the extra money and go with Auric. I signed up over three months ago, took out the loan, and waited...and waited...and waited. They called me two weeks ago to ask me how I was liking my solar panels, and I responded with, "What solar panels? You took my money, measured my house, and never showed up again." The guy on the phone apologized profusely and said they would "make it right." He called back the next day to say they were working it out. Then, OVER TWO WEEKS LATER, nothing. I finally called them to cancel the system today because clearly they werent working on anything. They guy on the phone said he was so sorry and then he looked it up in the system to find out about my permit for solar, and it turns out, they never even got the permit to install my solar done, much less getting around to actually installing the system. When the guy from Auric asked what he could do to "make it right," I said he could match the lowest solar bid I got from a competing company. I told the guy that I went with Auric and payed the extra money because of their supposed great customer service/team, since I didnt receive any good customer service, I wanted them to simply match the bid from the company. The guy on the phone said they were unable to match the lower bid. I finally just asked them to refund my money and decided to go with ANY OTHER COMPANY! I cant believe I paid $38,000 and was not a priority and after 3 months of terrible/no service, they were unwilling to match a lower bid on solar in order to keep my business.
