My dad passed away in December 2016. It was the first big death in the family. We went with this cemetery because we have a family plot there. Sense my dad did pass in the middle of winter I understood that the headstone could not be placed until it warmed up. It took until May 31st for them to put his headstone in the ground. While waiting for his headstone to be placed his grave looked awful. At first it was just a pile of dirt just placed there, not manicured to look decent just a pile of dirt. It honestly looked like my dad was trying to escape from there. I called to let them know that I wanted it to be fixed in time for his birthday so my family could visit him. Well they did not fix it, it was heartbreaking to see my dads grave look like that on his birthday. Well as time went on it continued to look worse and worse until my Aunt went up there with a shovel and rake to fix how the dirt looked. After my dads headstone was placed there was a sprinkler that was broken and it killed all the sod, and dirt and my dads grave once again looked terrible. I called the number to get maintenance up there to see what they could do about his grave. The number that is on Google kept forwarding me to the mortuary and not the cemetery office. When I finally got the right number from the cemetery I told the lady on the phone that the number on the internet is wrong and she told me " No, sorry the number is not wrong, we get calls all the time." and so I let that comment go and started to tell her that I am tired of calling for problems and that I want my dad to be at peace and have a grave that doesnt make me want to cry every time I go to visit. She told me "Okay ill let them know to fix it and ill have them call you when its done". I have yet to hear from them and it has been about 2 months now and my dads grave is still hard to look at. So THANK YOU Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch for making the first big tragedy in my life even harder.

My experience has been pretty similar to Melanie Stam. All the grave had was dirt for a long time. Eventually one of their landscapers basically took a knife and cut up a bunch of squares of grass (probably from the edge of the park) and just laid them on top of the grave instead of planting seeds. The patch job on top of my sons grave is totally dead while all the grass around it is green but still dying. We used this place because we had family plots there already, they were supposed to be several spaces away from my wifes grandparents so other family members could be buried in between the two. Instead the grave is in the closest spot next to my wifes grandparents but its not even lined up well. Based off of the plot of dead grass covering the grave it looks like the headstone will be off to the side and inbetween rows. Other parts of the cemetary seem to be more attractive and better cared for, so if you are looking to buy a plot here make sure you know where its at. Our plot is on a hill, which makes pall-bearing during the winter difficult. The cemetary also requires bronze gravestones which are much more expensive than granite. We like having the twins close to my wifes grandparents but are considering moving them to a different cemetary after the headstone arrives. I have also had trouble getting a headstone and it has been over 6 months already, it sounds like it is the manufacturers fault though. The headstone was delivered with the wrong name. Apparently the cemetary caught the error and had them do it again, and that is probably the most positive thing that I have to say about them. I would have been more upset if the headstone made it all the way into the ground with a spelling error. I would have appreciated a call when it happened though, we have had to call and follow up to figure out what is going on.

The Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch Cemetery is well laid out, beautiful, and peaceful. There are a few statues depicting the life of Jesus Christ and the cemetery appears to be one of the more recent of the city of South Ogden. There isnt much shade, but more will come in the future as the trees continue to grow. It is a nice place to retreat from the busy ways of life.

I had a friend who used to take care of the landscape here years ago, it was, and still is, a beautiful quiet oasis. It has large trees and well care for shrubbery. Many of my relatives are buried here and I enjoy the peaceful, quiet escape from the busy life when visiting their graves.
