We, as a family wish to express our gratitude for the beautiful services provided by caring professionals of Utah Valley Mortuary to our family in the recent passing of our 91 year old mother. We were so pleased to have had the caring professional services of Steven Furner who was so patient in helping us understand the details of this process and with making the necessary decisions and arrangements. We appreciated the great respect shown our mother from the time she was taken into their care until she was laid to rest in Vernal, Utah. Every detail was well attended to. We appreciated special kindnesses performed such as honoring her last request to be wrapped in a beloved blanket in her casket. Special attention was given to have her looking her best! We appreciated an unexpected kindness which was the recording of our service on a CD with the option to make additional copies which we did, to share to share with family members unable to be with us. We could not be more pleased and grateful and are recommending Utah Valley Mortuary to our family and friends. To our friends at Utah Valley Mortuary we say Thank You and God Bless You! I have helped with many funerals over the years and seen several of the local funeral homes provide service during such a tender time. They all have done a good job. But yesterday I attended the funeral for an extended family member done by Utah Valley Mortuary. Their attention to every detail was remarkable! The Relief Society room was transformed (they provided curtains to cover chalkboards, tablecloths for displays, individual packets of tissues, water bottles, even mini treats.) As a woman and Relief Society president, that was all impressive. But what really touched me was seeing how the director Matt Davis dealt with the young sons of the father that passed. He was so thoughtful and made sure they helped, understood, and were comfortable with such a tragic loss. Everything was done with such care! Of all the funeral homes I have worked with, I havent seen any funeral handled better! I would highly recommend Utah Valley Mortuary.

Matt and Amanda at Utah Valley Mortuary were wonderful to work with. They were courteous and kind and very willing to work with our family when we had to change our burial plans at the last minute. At a time when we were feeling so many emotions, they were able to help our family do the best thing for our situation. Matt had our best interests in mind and allowed us to choose the arrangements that suited our budget. Thank you Matt and Amanda for being so patient and kind to us while we were going through such a sad time. If you want to work with someone you can trust, someone that will go the extra mile and help your family do what is best for you, you want to go to Utah Valley Mortuary. Utah Valley Mortuary was amazing!!! They were so kind, helpful, compassionate and sensitive. They went the extra mile on every imaginable thing; including staying with the casket until it was completely buried, pressing my husbands clothes (even though it was a closed casket), making photocopies of the death certificate, letting me know of the different ways children grieve and different grief counseling programs available in the county. They were a big service and it was a huge bonus that they were significantly less expensive than the other mortuaries I called. They didnt try to sell me something that I didnt need. They were completely honest. I cant say enough good things about Matt and his staff. I would recommend Utah Valley Mortuary to anyone!!

UVM was incredibly compassionate from the first phone call. They were there to meet every need and even could foresee them before we did. Each and every person there seemed to know us and our story. They cared and showed it in EVERY step of the way. Many things happened in our mourning journey that could have been much more painful had we not been being taken care of by such an amazing staff of sincere, genuine, loving people. Having seen the service other mortuaries offered and then attending one serviced by UVM, we found that choosing a mortuary just because they are a household name isnt the way to go about finding someone to care for your loved one. We were so grateful to have chosen UVM and would go to them again, for sure.

When my mother took ill suddenly and died, we had no idea where to turn. Utah Valley Mortuary came to our rescue with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. Though I live in Salt Lake City and my mother died in Gunnison, Matt and his son drove to Gunnison from Utah county over the 24th of July weekend to collect her remains and arrange for cremation. He was upfront about costs and guided us gently through the difficult decision making process. Though Utah Valley Mortuary was the least expensive alternative we found, the level of service Matt and his staff offered was outstanding. We could not have asked for more. Bless you, Matt.

The staff at Utah Valley Mortuary are both dignified and kind. Matt Davis truly has a gift as a mortician. He directed the funeral services for my Grandmother and prepared her to look far better than she has in years. She was so beautiful! I am very impressed with their attention to details during the viewing and the funeral. His passion is to make the funeral guests feel as comfortable as possible in an sad and uncertain time. I highly recommend Utah Valley Mortuary if, unfortunately, you are in need of their services.

Absolutely loved our experience with them. They were so kind and everything was top notch. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL and we ordered right there at the Mortuary. Everything was done so much quicker and without the fuss, because we did it all in one place. We even ordered the death certificates and they were done in two days. Outstanding!!! They are seriously awesome. My dad unexpectedly passed away a few months ago, and they made it so much easier on us. They thought of things that we wouldnt have thought of, they made my dad look great, and they were so patient and helpful with all of us. Matt still checks up on my mom and keeps in touch with the family. They made a hard time a little easier on us.
