Unfortunately the few times Ive been here to purchase product Ive been wowed by the appearance, but turned off by the attitude of the workers. Today was no different. I went in for product for dreads, and started browsing their other products as well. Most things have a clear price tag on them, but they have some delicious smelling soap that was not price marked anywhere. I asked someone, who she (and the person behind the counter) both told me the soap was $2.50. My friend and I remarked what a steal that was, and picked out 3 to purchase. When we got up to the counter, my 3 soaps and 1 $9 product rang up as 33.00. Confused, I asked the cashier. She asked (rudely) who told me that price. I pointed out the two people who told me the price, and she says oh well shes a stylist, so you cant ask her, and I dont know why she would have told you that. These were never on sale and everything is CLEARLY marked, these have never been $2.50. First off, her tone was so incredibly rude, and second, when I politely explained the reason we asked for the price was because they clearly not marked at all. She goes Right - because we have the bar code to scan in up here. I said we asked because it wasnt marked, so we were told an incorrect price, they should at least honor that or be polite about the misunderstanding instead of treating my friend and I like criminals. (Over $2.50 soap?!) Definitely not impressed by the snarky cashier, she needs an attitude adjustment. (Receipt says her name was Charity?)

I adore this place! I first went a few weeks back for a shellac mani/pedi by Debbie and had such a lovely experience - plus my nails looked fabulous and lasted the full three weeks. I went in this week for another shellac manicure with Debbie - yet again, a wonderful experience and great manicure. However, 24 hours later could not stand the color that Id been "adventurous" and picked the day before (my fault, I know, but I couldnt live with it for 3 weeks lol). I called and they got me in that evening to change it. I assumed theyd just buff it off and paint over but Sasha took the time and basically re-did the entire manicure with a new color and then informed me that thered be no charge. I insisted but they wouldnt budge so I just left gratuity to thank her for taking the time and helping me fix the color that Id chosen but wasnt loving. The store is filled with fun items and gifts and the spa services are superb. Ill never go to any other salon! Thank you, Debbie, Sasha and the staff for treating me so well!

Ive just returned home, after a wonderful week with my sister in Salt Lake. We did the usual, skiing, dining out, shopping! We spent some time in the Sugar House area and she told me about this store she absolutely adores, Got Beauty. My Sister tends to exaggerate a bit, you know like, this is the best Italian ever, or this is the greatest coffee shop in town. She was not exaggerating in the least when it came to this store! I spend a lot of time shopping in the Bay Area and have never experienced a place like this! They have everything for beauty, plus accessories, shoes, clothes, all these little trinkets, and fun gift things. I was amazed! And they have a full on salon! How did they get all that stuff in there? My experience was wonderful. The service was super, from the moment we were greeted at the door until the Thank Yous and good byes as we left! Thank you Got Beauty for the wonderful experience! when will we see you in SF?

I recently went to this place and will not be returning. I went in for a simple wash & blow dry prior to an important event. The woman who attended me had herself convinced she was a stylist, but certainly not me! I could tell the entire time it was more of an experiment for her, as opposed to her confidently creating a look. She disregarded all of my requests. First I told her no products, she proceeded to use 6-8 different products. I told her no curls, she busted out the curling iron. I told her no curls around the face, she curled every single piece of hair, then spent half the time trying to correct stuff she did poorly...with even more product! I literally would have been better off if I had gone home, taken a shower, and done it myself...and if I had time to do so, I would have gone home and started all over. I was so disappointed. I was told by staff that she was their "best" stylist. Oh geez!

LOVE this place. Ive been there several times in the last few weeks as Ive been gradually bleaching, toning and putting purple streaks in my hair. All of the staff Ive encountered have been very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. One the front desk people didnt know a specific answer, so they got one of the hair specialists to come out and talk to me. And when it was obvious I didnt know what I I was doing, she could have told me not to do it myself, but have a professional do it. But she didnt! She was just really supportive and helpful. Its maybe possible that going to a place like Sally is going to get better prices on various things, but if so, going to Got Beauty is still totally worth it because of how helpful everyone is. Im a fan.

I loved getting my nails done here, it was relaxing and the girl did not talk a lot and did not feel the need to fill air. I did have my nails done from a previous shop and they wouldnt do a fill because it would mix with their product, and then charged me to file them down a little bit. I got my hair cut here also and asked to only trim it since I was growing my hair out. Instead my hair was cut as short as it originally was when I first got it done. The shampooing station is also very uncomfortable and I had to stretch to reach it. It wasnt bad and the people are friendly just a bit pricey for what you get, and the stylist didnt listen. You also got to hear all personal conversations if they werent busy, which I did not enjoy.

I went into the store yesterday looking for Redken for Men ~ working wax maneuver. They were out of product, so I was advise by the associate that one of the other associates had to run to Cosmopolitan and she would get the product for me. I was totally amazed by the level of customer service that I had received yesterday from the staff at GOT BEAUTY. So in return for their awesome service, I went to Smiths and purchase brownies and ice cream for the team at GOT BEAUTY for a afternoon treat. I will go back to GOT BEAUTY for any hair product. I wish I would have gotten the names of the associates that assisted me yesterday, they show what customer service is all about.

I was told after my shellac manicure that the girls doing manicures are not nail technicians. It was the first time shellac chipped three days after having it done, while washing my hands. They were nice and fixed them complementary, but they had the one actual nail technician fix it, who seems over worked and short tempered, and she acted like no one let her know that she was repairing someone elses shoddy work. They sell overpriced low quality products that may be fun to peruse, but youd be a fool to purchase them.
