At the West Valley Vasa, the enrollment person was incredibly rude and made me very angry. When I went to sign up at this location, I told the enrollment person that I had had a bad experience at the previous Vasa. He proceeded to do the exact same thing. He was trying to pressure me into using a personal trainer (which we cant afford) and lecturing me on how I should lose weight. I told him my goals were modest and that I just wanted to do my own thing. He wouldnt back down until I said, "Forget a membership, were leaving". I dont mind helpful advice but if Ive already told you its something Im not willing or able to do then let it go. Even though the facilities were new at the time, the Precor machines were broken and took months to get fixed. The cinema room is a nice idea but smells toxic. I complained several times, including online and never got a response. The last straw was when the manager singled out my husband, interrupting his workout 3 separate times trying to get him to hire a personal trainer. Im pretty certain that most people would not appreciate being interrupted 3 times during their workout. I suppose if you are fit then this would be an OK place to go because you wont be targeted by their high pressure sales tactics. Its cheap and the amenities are acceptable. Finally, when I went to cancel, I found out that they make you pay a full month extra, which we were not told when we signed up. This is one of those places where youd better read your contract carefully because they dont want to tell you up front about all the extra fees. If you are just barely into your current month, you will basically pay 2 extra months.

VERY disappointed in VASA Fitness once again. I usually go the the VASA Fitness on 3500 West in WVC. This VASA location is supposed to to be open at 5 a.m. Im wanting to get an early morning work out. Lots of people are showing up, but there is no employee onsite. After waiting until 5:30 a.m. I decide to leave, like many others that were waiting. This company seriously infuriates me. I come to this new location in hopes to get a better work out & hoping that most of their equipment are not broken, like the VASA Fitness on 3500 West. I decide to go to the VASA Fitness in Taylorsville. I informed the employee that the other location is supposed to be open at 5 a.m. & he just shrugged his shoulders and didnt say anything. I was hoping that MAYBE he would have let someone know, or at least say sorry or empathize in some way. Im starting to compare this company to Comcast. Reading these other reviews, they are very accurate. Sometimes there will be a response from VASA saying that theyre sorry, improving, going to repair equipment. It just seems like its all talk, to tell the consumer they want to hear to make themselves look like theyre doing something about their issues. If theyre really improving, then why dont the employees know anything about these improvements, or dont have any answers to any of these complaints? The employees are the ones that are face to face with these customers and I sometimes feel bad for them that theyre kept out of the loop and dont know how to answer some of these questions that theyre being asked about. VASA Fitness you seriously need to step it up.

Seriously wondering why I have to pay equipment fees when they leave equipment broke down for weeks!?!? Now the tanning bed is down.?!? I go to multiple Vasas across the valley and Im starting to see why I payed more for my membership at 24 hr fitness...better equipment, better hours, better staff!! I will start taking pictures of down equipment and post them with new reviews including the time it has been down and hopefully vasa will step there game up when people realize there money is going in pockets and not towards the equipment or facilities. Edit: After reading many reviews on different locations I have come to one conclusion....MAYBE ITS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THESE CROOKS?!?!?!? I have a friend who is a great lawyer and I think its time to take a look into vasa and the way they are conducting business. Keep scamming people and you will end up paying for it!

Everything at this gym is always broken. Two of the most popular machines have been down for 5 weeks. This is the only location for miles that has a tanning bed. The tanning bed is now broken indefinitely, and prior to that has had over half the light bulbs out (21 bulbs) for 2 months now. The staff is wildly unprofessional, they are always standing around talking to their buddies and not helping customers. I regularly go at 5am, and they have been 20-30 minutes late three times to open the doors. This is a very high volume location and they are obviously not equipped to keep up with it. It doesnt matter what time of I day I go, its always a bad experience. However you should know, not all of their locations are so bad, I lived in Riverton before and the Riverton location is pretty great. Maybe they should look in to how Riverton does it.

I love everything about this place, location, cleanliness, equipment, cinema room... all of it! The only thing that chaps my hide is when I have to workout late at night and the staff feels the need to shut down all the TVs 20-30 minutes before close. Its annoying as hell and totally ruins my mood. Ill be enjoying my show on TV and they come and shut down ALL the televisions but can clearly see there are at least 10 people on the treadmill/bikes watching television. I know theyd like to get home as soon as they close the gym but according to my membership, I pay for you to open on time and close at midnight... .which means, NOTHING SHOULD BE CLOSED OR SHUT DOWN UNTIL MIDNIGHT, not 11:30 or 11:45 or 11:55pm... MIDNIGHT!!!

Some of the people at this location are very helpful, but it is very obvious it is comission based on plans they are trying to sell. They over charged us one month for a rate guarantee fee, so weve been trying to cancel this account for months. They ended up not cancelling it, and sending our bill to collections. 400 dollars later, i no longer have to deal with this establishment. I highly recommend searching elsewhere to stay healthy unless this location is prime for you. If it is, i wish you luck in your journey with vasa fitness. I will never step foot in another for as long as i live.

If I could give it less than one star I would. The facility its self is fine but the staff is very unprofessional and rude. I called to speak about my bill and what it would take to drop to the lower membership and the staff member replied with "what, you dont have a sugar daddy to pay your bills?" And "looks like you need a temp agency or you can donate plasma because youre screwed if you lower the membership or not" Ive never felt so disrespected in my life and I will never step foot in another vasa if these are the kind of employees they hire.

Just another Ballys, more interested in selling contracts than fitness. Was in town for a month (only) and asked them if I could buy a 1 month membership like stated on their website... no, I have to sign a minimum 6 month contract and then deal with cancelling it. I even offered to pay the same dollar value upfront, but they refused, saying Id have to wait until I was ready to cancel and then deal with it. Probably a good gym, but the customer service (or lack thereof) spoke volumes.
