I would tell my family/friends not to rent from them or use them as a property manager. If you do, I recommend documenting everything (e.g., take pictures, save emails). Based on my experience, the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional (e.g., at lease-signing, we were told not to get pregnant). Further, employee turnover is so high that we had three different property managers in the one year we rented from them. Thus, (1) repairs were not accomplished timely (e.g., water damage from a roof leak wasnt repaired and continued to worsen despite our complaints), (2) the property was in bad shape upon moving in (e.g., urine and make-up on walls, carpet beetles), (3) we were threatened nuisance fees when asking for help, and (4) we were inconveniently the point of contact for scheduling viewings the last month of our lease (including taking calls after 10pm and missing several days of work). In addition, the employee turnover resulted in continuous updates to their contact information that was never communicated to us. If there was any kind of maintenance scheduled, contractors showed up without our knowledge or didnt show up at all, which made us miss even more work. In the beginning, it was so bad that our agent had to go to their office to demand a response and action from them. We moved out of this property three months ago because of the poor property management (and avoided them in our new search). Just this week, we received a call from a pest control company threatening legal action against an unpaid bill because we were never notified through Century 21 (who scheduled the service and received the bill on our behalf). Additionally, Century 21 had signed a lease with a new tenant before our lease was set to expire without consulting us. This caused major inconveniences with our move out timing. Moreover, it cost well over $1,000 to move out of the townhouse because of their move-out requirements (even when the same requirements were not enforced for the previous tenant). They require that you use companies on their "approved vendor list" who overcharge for services. Overall, dealing with this company was frustrating and unsatisfactory, and still is three months later. The only positive thing about my experience was receiving our well-deserved deposit back.

AWFUL customer service. I would rate 0 stars if it was an option. Staff was unprofessional, unresponsive, and seemingly incompetent throughout the 2 year lease term. Upon move out, I had to pay $250 for carpet cleaning even though Century 21 provided written documentation at the beginning of my lease that said carpet would be replaced for the next tenant. Staff often did not answer my phone calls, and instead responded days later via email with short, cryptic messages rife with spelling errors. Century 21 docked an additional $750 or so from security deposit for cleaning, painting, and caulking (i.e., reasonable wear and tear). Theres reason to believe that Century 21 and its "approved vendors" are in bed together to overcharge and screw over tenants--especially given that the "invoices" that came back with my security deposit were unsigned, un-executed pieces of paper that show no proof of service or payment. Century 21, of course, ignored all of my requests for official bills and/or invoices for these services. The Century 21 management mantra appears to think that renting a property places ALL COSTS ON TENANTS. Thats just not how renting works. For comparison, before this lease I had never lost a dime of my security deposits. Conclusion: AVOID CENTURY 21 AT ALL COSTS

Staff is slow to respond to any issues you have. They will tell you they are working on something and are not. We were told trees would be trimmed at our property and it took them 5 months to get a contractor out. We were told that a bathroom would be repainted and a new exhaust fan installed prior to our moving in and it took 10 months. Our deposit was not returned in its entirety even though we had all of our receipts. We went past the 45 day period, being told they were "working it", and had to threaten legal action because they didnt want to return 270$ to us. They are very very shady and appear to have high internal turnover within their office. I would not trust them to manage my property or rent from them.

The customer service is terrible. The Century 21 staff is unresponsive and unprofessional. They even tried to fraudulently charge us for a water bill at move out when water was included on our the lease. They do not possess basic communication skills and could not coherently respond to emails. At the end of the day I do not know if this office is criminal or incompetent, but either way I would recommend renting through a different company. Furthermore Century 21 made us pay for carpet cleaning even though they told us they would be replacing the carpets once we moved out.

Never never never suggest to work with. Forget about your deposit. I suspect they make money or help the landlord make money out of your deposit. They charged me, out of my deposit, $400 for carpet cleaning, which usually costs $200. The thing is the realtor knew that the landlord will move in himself and change the carpet entirely. Actually they did change the carpets later on. This is just one thing. They almosty fully cut my deposit for many things that were not identified at the move-out inspection.

I was in desperate need of a short-term rental, and Ginger graciously agreed to rent a duplex to me for three months. The home was safe and comfortable, and Ginger was fair in setting the rent and returning my deposits. I would rent from her again and truly appreciated her help and flexibility.
