I wish I could give this place a 0 star for their absolutely terrible customer service. IF YOU ARE PREGNANT, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I have been to this spa once before and it was decent: My husband booked me a prenatal massage after I got approved by my doctor, and was treated absolutely terribly by the management here. First of all, as soon as I walked in, she asked how far along I was and expressed concern for "how risky" it might be for my baby. That is not something you want to hear before you get a very expensive prenatal treatment. Then she said she was going to ask the masseuse how they felt about my massage...? Which I also found discomforting. Then when she returned and said "I think it will be ok" I refused to get my massage because I was uncomfortable with the service at this point and asked to reschedule. At this point, they then charged me 59 dollars because of a cancellation fee and when I explained that it wouldnt be appropriate for them to charge us when it was their own hesitation that made me uncomfortable to get a massage, they blamed me for not "educating myself with the risks." And then proceeded to sigh heavily and laugh on the phone to their coworker when I asked to speak to a manager. Surprise, no manager was on site and they couldnt be reached. The saga doesnt end there, my husband and I emailed he management twice and called repeatedly for a week until we got through to a manager and she again did not believe what we were saying and refused to return our money. This is the absolute worst customer service experience and I hope nobody else mistakenly uses their services.

My wife and I tried out Origins Thai Spa with a 60 minute couples deep tissue massage. For a little background, I have had many massages all over the world - including Thai massages in Thailand. Atmosphere and the massage - Origins decor is really nice - and probably the most luxurious massage parlor I have been to. The massage itself was very good. I prefer a lot of pressure (I am 61") and even though my masseuse was a small woman she had more than enough strength to work out all of my knots. You are also served water or hot tea before and after your session. Price - We bought a discounted rate session from a coupon website so we ended up paying ~$65 after tip per person. While my experience at Origin was great, I would not return if I had to pay the full price (I think it was like $120 or something for 60 minutes depending on the type of massage). However, they have a great yearly subscription which my wife and I ended up splitting. It costs $79 or $99 per month for 12 months (60/90 minute sessions) and you get 13 total sessions that can be used over an 18 month period. You also can buy additional time for a discounted rate and there are a lot of other perks. I will attach a picture of the details. Bottom line - Origins had a great atmosphere, excellent massage, and a very nice subscription deal which seems to be worth it. While I have only had one massage there, I will update if my experience changes over the next few months. Also, I had Arpi for my masseuse. She was fantastic.

This is the place you are looking for. It took me a month to find the right spa and this place is it. There are lots of places out there that can give you a massage but not many can give you the full atmosphere and experience you are looking for. Right from the moment I walked in the door with my wife the atmosphere was perfect and soothing. As soon as I opened the door this place looked and felt like a calming place. I was looking for a place to take my wife on a couples massage for our anniversary and this place had plenty of rooms with two massage beds and plenty of employees to give those massages. I looked all over Alexandria to DC and when I found this place I was super surprised that they were able to squeeze me and my wife in on a evening season on a Black Friday. That really impressed me. So here are the check marks just to make this simple. 1. Is it affordable? Yes 2. Couples Massage? Yes 3. Varity of massages? Thai, Deep tissue, and some in between type. 4. Friendly and professional staff. O yes! amazingly friendly and full of smiles. 5. Is the atmosphere a nail salon or a spa? Its a high class Spa with an affordable price. Perfect for couples. 6. Should you book it this place? YES!!! I will be a continuing customer. My wife and I loved this place just from one visit.

I have been their customer for more than a year. When I first went there I liked the massage and they asked me to sign up for membership. I did. I took about 5 or 6 massage since then. I like them and never complained. Today I called them in the morning and booked an appointment for 4:30. I also asked who is the therapist. They gave the therapists name. I called them at 4:20 that I would be 10 mins late and they said thats alright, I would just lose those mins (I booked a 90 mins). I reached Origins Thai Spa (Arlington location). Now they sent me to the massage room with a lady with black uniform (not their usual Therapist uniform). As she started it was very clear to me that she is not a professional therapist. They just sent me with one of their spa professional. It was a painful experience I requested to stop the "massage". As I tried to communicate this to their manager, she started literally asking me questions like a lawyer (her point was I didnt specifically ask for a therapist, hence they can give me anyone). Here is the suggestion: dont get into the subscription. They have good therapists. But you wont get them once already signed up for membership. And terrible customer service.

For a lover of deep tissue massages, I cant say enough about how the traditional Thai massage I got at Origins Thai Spa was the best massage Ive ever had, hands down. I had dabbed into a Thai massage once before, but only as an introductory part of a deep tissue massage. This time, I decided to go all in. My therapist made me feel very comfortable, and she worked wonders on my extremely tight neck, shoulders, and lower back. I came out of there wishing I had paid for a 90 minute massage! The spa itself is clean, inviting, & relaxing. The check-in & check-out process was smooth, & the delicious tea tops off an already wonderful experience. I will be going back here regularly!

This was my first time going to a spa and there is one word to sum up my experience; AMAZING! Everything about the spa was amazing, all of the employees, the atmosphere, the customer service, pretty much everything. I had no idea how tense my body was until I got the traditional Thai massage. I left out so relaxed and refreshed, I knew I would have to go back again. I am planning on going back in another week, because my experience was just that great. If you are looking for a great spa to go to in the DMV, go to Origins Thai Spa. You will leave out feeling like a new person, refreshed and recharged!
