I moved here from SC this summer. Salon Druknya is awesome! I went to Salon Cielo first, as it was closer to my apartment, in August. I asked for a shoulder length cut, and came out with a chin length VERY SHORT layered bob. I hated it! I cried for like two days. Anyway, after 4 months Id finally gotten some length back, but the layers made me look like a shaggy dog. I went to Salon Druknya, and was very scared after my last experience (Id been going to the same hairdresser in SC since I was a kid). Sunny was my stylist, and she took what I was saying and did an AMAZING job. The haircut I have now, is the haircut I was ASKING for in August; a long layered, shoulder length bob. I dont know how she did it, but she transformed my shaggy dog haircut into something worth wearing, and made me so so so happy! Thank you! I will definitely be going back!

The salon is very nice which gives you a great feeling walking in the door. Everyone seems nice enough. And this is my only experience there, however, for a $40 cut and style, I expect to be very happy with my hair. Ive been using the same stylist for 10 years but I live too far away so I thought I would give Druknya a try. I had to go back to my original stylist so she could fix my hair. The style was nice (from Druknya) but the way she thinned my hair, ruined it. My hair was constantly in knots. My old stylist told me that it actually did damage my hair. So, even though its a nice place, I dont trust the stylists techniques there. Not a happy customer.

Its a very nice place with friendly staff. However, I asked for layers throughout and a 1/2 inch AT MOST off the ends. We agreed before she started cutting on how much would come off. Once she was done she had taken at least 2 inches. I know stylists have their own opinions on how much hair should come off to make it healthy etc. but at the end of the day its my hair and Im the one paying for the service. Its very frustrating. I was nice about it but I will not be coming back.

I was very excited for my first visit to this salon, and was then very disappointed. Its a beautiful salon, with nice music, and great location, but I was received rather coolly, and staff was not engaging. The end result was horrible bangs (which I later fixed- the only time Ive ever cut my own hair!) and a hair style that was boxy, had no movement and was not what my stylist and I had talked about- hard to accomplish with medium long hair!

I have been getting my hair cut by Packmo at Salon Druknya since I moved to Charlottesville in 2009. Packmo has done such a wonderful job on my hair that I havent even considered looking for anyone else. Additionally, she and the rest of the staff are a part of the community of C-ville, and it is wonderful running into them at various locations and events around town.

If youre looking for barbershop chatter or salon gossip, this is not the place. Very friendly staff and a beautiful setting. They take their work seriously and dont rush through to get to the next client. I wont go anywhere else. At this point Im banking, almost hoping, that baldness strikes before Packmo retires. Best in Charlottesville hands down.

I went to Salon Druknya today and got a nice haircut from Laurel. She was very friendly and professional, and the haircut was very reasonably priced (only $35). I will definitely go back!
