New to town - we drove past the WSD on our approach to the city and I liked how it looked - so I looked up the class schedule and was delighted to see a Dance Camp for my sons age group listed for the following week. Juanita responded promptly to my query and was happy to chat and answer questions. We enrolled our 4yo in his first formal dance class/camp and were delighted with the experience. He is a challenging kid at times and needs some firm reminders to listen and Juanita was very adept at guiding him with a firm and gentle hand. He loved the two mornings - the dance, and the crafts and stories planned. He has talked of nothing but ballet school since. The small performance for parents, after just two short mornings of class, was delightful and really quite remarkable - obviously the product of some skillful and experienced teaching. I would totally recommend this school as a first point of call to new ballerinas!

Growing up, Wilson School of Dance was a warm and nurturing environment that instilled discipline, strength and comfortableness when I needed it most. With 15 years as a dancer and 4 years as a teacher, I can say that Wilson has greatly contributed to the person I am today. It is a judgment-free space where I learned to express myself and grow into my own skin with confidence. As a teacher now, I am motivated by my students happiness and eagerness to learn, and I know every teacher at the school feels this way as well. Throughout the year, classes become tight-knit groups that support and encourage each other, and the school does a wonderful job integrating each student into the Wilson family. Years after graduating, I remain very close with my dance friends, and I will forever be grateful for the life lessons I learned growing up in this school.

My daughter took dance classes at the Wilson School of Dance for a number of years, and it was an excellent experience. We found quality instruction and caring teachers. In addition to developing her dance talent, my daughter gained self-confidence and valuable experience in teamwork, which continue to help her in life.
