Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. I love to try new indian restaurants because i love indian food. My friend and i went together and had a great experience. I ordered the Chicken tikka makhni and she ordered the lamb vandaloo. I am not a fan of too much spicy and the chicken tikka makhni was the perfect amount of spice. My friends lamb vandaloo looked amazing too as it was perfectly seasoned. we enjoyed our time there due to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. we were received and treated in a timely manner as well. i would defiantly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try a nice indian restaurant that serves a varity of food that come in all types of levels of heat!

Worst restaurant.DONt GO HERE. Manager is extremely rude and dont know how to speak. We checked with restaurant before coming if they accept coupons. They confirmed they will and when we reach there they refused to use and insulted us badly calling us liars. After altercation and showing hm call history he agreed to accept coupon as if hes doing a bg favor. But that had spoiled our evening!!!! The manager who spoke like that was a old man.. Watch out if u still plan to go there...

Food was great, service was very good. It was almost vacant on a Sunday evening and upon our arrival we started getting bad vibes. It was our first visit and the restaurant is in an old building that I think was a fast food joint. Despite a near empty parking lot, we went in and had a very nice experience and it was all for about $46 for two including gratuity. We had an appetizer, two entrees and the garlic naan. We were stuffed when we left and we would definitely go back.

HORRIBLE FOOD!! My girlfriend and I had upset/bloated stomach all evening after dining here. The dal makhani they served was cold and Kadai chicken was pathetic too. Ambience isnt anything to write about either. Having dined at a lot of Indian restaurants in and around DC this pales in comparison and I would never visit again and would urge anyone reading to do so either. PATHETIC is the word I have for our experience there.

Went there for the buffet and was pretty unimpressed. The saag paneer tasted like overcooked frozen spinach and the chicken for tandoori chicken was bone-in and hastily chopped. I had to pick broken bones out several times when eating. Probably the best thing was the mango kheer for dessert. Despite all this, the place was quite popular and the price was reasonable. Staff was nice also, just very unremarkable food.

There was hair in my food and I know the waiter could hear me say how there was hair in my food because he was looking at me while I was saying it! Yet he did nothing! Granted, I should have been like, "there is hair in my food, but when you consider his lack of initiative to address the matter says something about the restaurant." If its one hair, thats fine, but I found two more pieces of hair after that.

I am new to this area. I visited Bombay Bistro, Fairfax, Va for the first time. I did not have a reservation, besides being busy, they accommodated me. The service was excellent, and exceeded my expectations. The food was good, specially Tandoori Salmon, that I recommend to all my friends. I will definitely visit them for their Lunch Buffet.

Not sure what I dont really like about this place. The food just lacks much pizazz. I tend to like spicy flavorful but my favorite dishes (chicken biryani, butter chicken, lamb gohst, among others) are just not that great. Neither are the other dishes I tried. I like the staff and the service was OK - not great but certainly not horrible.

Very delicious food, I would definitely try to combination curry platter where you get to try all of the different options. The atmosphere was very peaceful and relaxing. I would also try the Naan if it doesnt come with your meal. Great place to eat but can be a little pricy if you are on the college budget.

Worst experience. Manager too rude, couldnt keep the menu card for more than 10 mins with you. Food was uncooked. Tomato soup was like drinking chutney.. I had to return it. Please dont go to this restaurant for party or function etc.. Just go yourself for food taste and I am sure u will have same exp..

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in the DC area. It is also my standard for Indian faire. I have had a favorable experience here every time. I recommend Bistro Bombay whenever someone is looking for someplace new to go. You must try their chutneys with any dish and Thalis are always interesting.

Bombay Bistro was excellent. I had a great experience. Dont forget to try the butter chicken and palak paneer. Aside from the great food, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. I plan on coming here in the future as it is a great place to relax and have some great food.

The decor and food here are OK. Not that this is bad but it just simply does not stand out against any of the other offerings in the same price point and food type. The lunch buffet is a decent affair with a fairly broad number of selections. Most of the fairly standard for Indian cuisine.

Great food, prompt service, what else can you ask for? The food was obviously home made, not frozen and the puri I ordered was as big as my head. I come to Fairfax at least 4 weeks out of the year for business. This place is definitely getting my repeat business!

Salad was OK, but their soup was far too salty and I could have more than a few spoonfuls. So I sent it back and they said theyd give me a discount. Turns out I had to pay the full price. The “discount" they said, was that I didnt have to tip... what the crap.

Nice restaurant , ambience , i love their Non Veg Thali it has everything, Also the briyani this the only place where i see more meat than rice, they have 2 draw back is they charge 10% tax rather than 6% ,also they dont accept creditcard less than 10$.

Clean and attractive interior, friendly and attentive staff. Lunch buffet is small and lacking in meat and vegetable selections (too many sauce only entrees). Food quality unremarkable. OK if youre in the neighborhood but not worth a special trip.

The food was the most disgusting Indian food Ive ever had. It tasted old and the flavor was off. Will never go here again. Place was overpriced as well. The only reason I even gave it 2 stars is the owner was such a sweet man and very welcoming.

It used to be good now theyve removed most key dishes from the buffet ex. Chicken Marsala and the Tandori they still have has little chicken in it or it was a hunk of bone! The bread was dry and hard. Too bad!

Cheap quality with no taste food, overpriced, Order Non Veg thali and my wife ordered Dosa both were tasteless like buffet food we paid almost $50. My recommendation dont waste your money there........
