RSVP Catering - Kim Harris - fantastic job posted 11/7/2011 After reaching out to over 25 caterers in the Washington, DC region and then narrowing the choice down to 4 caterers, we could not be happier and more satisfied that we chose RSVP Catering (and specifically that we worked with Kim Harris at RSVP Catering). Kim and her staff at RSVP Catering went out of their way to work with us on every detail of the wedding menu and to try to get the menu down to our budget. The chef worked with us to get the flavors that we wanted out of certain dishes. The chef is very accomplished and knows tons of recipes! We were particularly impressed with the repertoire of menu items and during our tasting sessions, not one food item tasted like "industrial food" or "mass produced food", everything was elegant. Kim and I exchanged countless emails and she was always patient and thoroughly answer every single one of my questions. Kim did a walk-through with me a few weeks before the event and took the lead on being the go-to person for the wedding if the Venue manager needed any thing or if a problem arose. Kim ended up being a sort of a day-of wedding coordinator and she did a FABULOUS job. She thought of every detail and worked with us to adjust things during the event in a very smooth way (i.e. if we needed to move up dinner by 15 minutes, for example). Because of Kim and her staffs hard work, nothing went wrong the day-of the event - it was just perfect! Not to mention the food... we kept hearing our friends and family rave over the food!! We had to do a buffet (not sit-down meal) because of our budget, but Kim and RSVP made sure it looked elegant (used large white platters rather than chaffing dishes) and not like a huge buffet line. Also we wanted to do cheesecake for our dessert because we love it and we didnt want the traditional wedding cake. People went back for seconds on the cheesecake. I need to get that recipe from RSVP - it was absolutely delicious. It wasnt overly sweet or chewy. It was light and airy. Kim did a great job setting up the dessert buffet with 12 different cheesecake (one for each table) on different height cake stands, and each cheesecake had a flower topper, which looked really nice. The bartenders and staff were very nice and they helped with the set-up and break-down. They lit candles that we brought, they helped set up the screen outside for our outdoor ceremony, they helped clean up and organize our personal belongings afterward (including the liquor which we bought separately and the votives which we provided) ... in short, they went above and beyond. I would highly recommend Kimberly (Kim) Harris at RSVP Catering to any one in the Washington DC region who is planning a wedding or another event that needs catering. RSVP Catering even invited us to an event about 1 month prior to our wedding, where we got to taste all sorts of menu items (this was in addition to our personalized tasting). I forgot to mention that Kim worked tirelessly with me on the "look" of the wedding - from the linens to even printing out menu cards for each guests. In sum, RSVP Catering did a fabulous job at our wedding, and we are so happy to have made the choice to go with them as our caterer....

I cannot say enough great things about RSVP Catering. They planned a summer fundraising party for my company in July 2010. From the start of the planning process to the last cocktail poured, the staff was beyond accomodating & energetic through it all. They transformed our corporate offices into a lounge-themed party. Instead of paying alot for an outside venue, RSVP, whom I believe has their own warehouse of supplies, helped make this transformation happen. The hors doeuvres wowed our guests, dinner was delicious, & the decor helped make the event a hit! All of our guests have said its our best event yet. We will definitely be using them in the future & recommend them to anyone who is looking to have a truly inspired event!

I tracked down my favorite shortbread cookies from a now close Penn Quater DC eatery to this place, and decided to get my fix straight from the source. They were polite, prompt, and accomodating over the phone while I orderd my stash, but told me they are a caterer and I had to order atelast a dozen, instead of my requested 3 or 4. The location is a bit tucked away, but I doubt many people go to them for their food, but the office is beautiful and pleasant. A few of the cookies were barely damaged, but they gave them to me for free! I guess that taints this review, but I had gobbled up a few before I got back on the highway, and it turns out dozen just wasnt enough.

I have chosen RSVP Catering for years for numerous business events. I used them three times so far this month. The food is always excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They are also the most reliable caterer I have ever used, always showing up on time or even earlier. It would be difficult for me to recommend just one favorite item, as everything is excellent. My favorite of the week is the roasted pear salad. And I love their mini-cupcakes, especially the raspberry ones!

Rsvp was a part of my aunt and uncles wedding a few years ago. It was a beautiful outdoor reception. The food was incredible and well enjoyed by the guests. Since then weve used them for smaller gatherings and events. Whether it be brisket for a small family dinner or the 50th wedding anniversary for my grandparents, RSVP has done a wonderful job. Ill continue to go to them for my catering needs.

I had a Birthday Party planned and catered by RSVP and the staff did a wonderful job! I didnt have to set up, or clean up which was the best part! I didnt have to worry and enjoyed my party. Humberto took great care of me and my guests, his staff was very professional. The food not only looked amazing but tasted great as well! I will recommend RSVP to everyone, only positive comments.

I looked around town for the best catering company for my wedding, and I was referred to RSVP Catering from my wedding planner. I was very impressed! The food and service were wonderful and the price was fairly reasonable too. My sister-in-law is using them too for her wedding in August.
