My husband and I went to RH&B for valentines. He had the rib and catfish plate. I had a pulled chicken sandwich with a side of potato salad. Should have known better when the chicken in the sandwich was cold and so were the ribs. My husband ordered a draft beer, I had water. His beer was flat and watered down. What I am getting to is that we have been up with food poisoning (yes, from both ends). We believe it was from the over-mayonnaised potato salad. It wasnt good, I dont know why I ate it.... and my husband had a bite. The waitress was good, but stretched to thin, which left us and the other patrons in our section waiting for our tab, for boxes, and to even place an order. We have $65 left in gift certs that we are giving away... it was that bad.

I was looking forward to eating there as I had takeout from there brought to me once as we dont have one where I live. Not sure which location my takeout came from but tonights paled in comparison. The outside of the building was dumpy looking but the inside very cute. I started with the onion ring loaf. It would have been good if they had been cooked longer. My meal came out VERY shortly after and it was so cold in the room that the lukewarm food chilled quickly. The dip for the onion loaf was good. I ordered the double platter and chose dry ribs (very tough and dry. The knife bent trying to cut them) only took a couple of bites. The pulled pork was good, coleslaw fair. The star of the meal was the potato salad. Stellar! But not worth a return trip.

My girlfriend and I like Red Hot & Blue so much that we had them cater her parent’s 25th wedding anniversary. I think the main courses were the beef brisket, ribs and the pulled pork sandwiches. Just last night we went to the restaurant and each ordered the pulled chicken sandwich with coleslaw, and potato salad. It was a tough call because the ribs are really awesome also! Red Hot & Blue seems to get that people have different tastes. It was amazing to find a great selection of sauces to choose from! I would definitely recommend that people stop at this location. Usually most people are lucky enough to get fast service. You wont be disappointed.

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, but worst BBQ EVER! Ordered the 5 meat sampler...every meat was dry and tasteless...and I dont think they use hickory or a smoker! Returned the brisket which tasted day old and got "fresh" meat which was worse than the first. Calling it overdone roadkill would be generous. The others were only slightly better, but not by much. I would have returned all but my wife gave me the look after returning the brisket -- so I kept my mouth shut. On a positive note the fries, smashed potatoes, and corn bread were really good. Since I was really looking forward to trying this "BBQ Joint" I have to give it 0 of 5 stars.

I absolutely love this barbecue and sweet tea that they offer as well! This place is now one of my favorite new places to go. The people that work here have always been friendly. I think my favorite thing off of the menu has to be the fresh made potato salad. I think that this potato salad is an original recipe. I also like the ribs and pulled pork more than anything! They are also very generous with their sides of potato salad and baked beans. My family of 4 were able to eat for under $40. It was a great value for really awesome barbecue!

We arrived on a Saturday aftenoon 16 deep for my daughters graduation lunch with no reservation. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. The food was meh. Possible the first place my kids have been and didnt care for the fries. Edible but tasted like they were cooked in month old grease. Sausage was best meat I in the house. Ribs were kinda tough. Possibly the worst brisket Ive ever tasted...zero flavor. My chain brisket bar is high...get it moist from Mission BBQ. Its been years Good in a pinch, you can find better BBQ

First time going to red hot and blue, i paid almost 50 dollars in food from here and the bacon cheese fries where stuck and mostly uneatable. The cole slaw was dry. The "classic" hamburger was burnt around the edges and made it nasty. The chicken sandwich had way too much meat for my liking, and the fries that came with it where half way burnt and the plate of sides, was really just kids size servings. Its a shame that this was a waste of my time and money. I really was hoping for a little better quality, from this place.

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Awful experience. Went here with a small sports team and it took them almost an hour to bring out drinks. Food was decent but service was genuinely awful. From the time we got here till the time we got our food I could have walked home and back. An hour and a half to bring out food is completely unacceptable. When I confronted them they started arguing with each other about "how confused they were". Would not come back. Please stay away from this place!

My husband and I are regulars and enjoy good the very good food at reasonable prices. The staff -- from the bartenders to the waitstaff -- are friendly and efficient and the food is always served hot. Best chipotle blue cheese burger around, the fries are always crisp and hot, and the sides like okra and greens and potato salad are wonderful. We prefer eating in the bar with its friendly vibe and on the patio in warmer weather.

I ordered a rum & coke with a lime. It was awful. I wanted to send it back but the waiter said I would have to pay for it anyway. We spent over $100 & I had to deal with a dead drink. My daughter that doesnt drink tasted it & said the coke was flat. I didnt think there was any rum to speak of in it. While I am complaining, why dont they get a machine so we can have a frozen margarita?

Real Memphis BBQ in Northern Virginia--who knew? Great food. Great service. Didnt wait long--and we were there on Saturday evening. Our family of 5 ate for $75, which is not bad including an appetizer. Friendly staff and 3 kinds of ribs--wet, sweet, and dry. Of course, ONLY dry ribs are REAL barbecue, but I have a bias for dry ribs ;) My wife LOVED the wet ribs.

Decent, tasty food for fast casual dining. Great budget pricing. Wait staff are friendly and attentive. The food comes out pretty quickly. The meat is a little dry, but the four barbeque sauce choices make up for it. The potato salad is very good...even had egg in it. Looks like they have a good drink selection at the bar. Overall good ambiance.

Having tried a handful of other BBQ places around the country, RH&B became one of my mainstays when I was at GMU. Good food, as long as you get the right things. Ribs, pulled pork, sausage, and sides are all good. The chicken is kind of hit or miss, and the brisket was unimpressive, but if you stick to pork youll be good.
