ISSUE #1: This is a bootleg version of a Dominican salon. I went in just needing a wash and TRIM, no styling needed. I hate sitting under a hair dryer so I prefer to do the rest of the work at home. Anyways I stated about 10 times I only need a wash and TRIM. The darker lady that wasnt Monica she spoke English so she understood me. She asked me if I would like for her to trim it but make my hair more even. I stated thats fine I know the back is uneven. I just need a TRIM. This lady combs my hair down and just cuts the bottom of my hair. And thats it... she didnt go through my whole head and trim my hair. THEY DONT LISTEN AND PROBABLY DO NOT HAVE A LICENSE TO DO HAIR, HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO TRIM HAIR. ISSUE #2: Now I like to watch my surroundings. The lady I assume is just a shampoo girl that doesnt speak any english. Didnt really know what she was doing when rinsing out some old ladys dye. Monica kept correcting her. Even went over to show her how to get the dye out correctly. #NeedMoreTraining ISSUE #3: They have roaches ugh I didnt see it until she was straightening my hair. So gross. I will never return. This establishment needs to be investigated. Possibly shut down. Smh

Very affordable blow outs!!! Very convenient! They are able to get my thick unmanageable hair bone straight. Other salons charge me extra for the amount of hair I have and this salon doesnt. They charge me 40$ for my natural thick curly hair. And they offer discounts on certain days. Other salons will charge me 65$. I suggest going early and not on a busy day. They can get you in and out within 1 1/2-2 hours. They have very good hair dryers they get extremely HOT and uncomfortable. Be advised that there are only two stylists and the salon. One person that washes and sets the hair and the other one that blows out and flat irons the hair. They do have their children running around and there can be a lot of hair around salon because they have a lot of clients, they can get busy which is why it is probably hard for them to swept the floor in between clients.

Ive been going to Monicas for about 4 years & every time I went I was never disappointed with the way my hair turned out. Its always gorgeous when its all done & worth the wait! My hair is thick & curly & other salons cant treat it well like Monicas does. The workers are welcoming & do what it takes to make sure you love your hair. Even the bad reviews say that your hair is done well, theyre just hating on the environment, which is perfectly fine. Youre not there to examine the salon, youre there for your hair. Thats the most important thing, so go when you have the chance!

NEGATIVE STAR RATING. Unprofessional, rude, and WILL burn and damage your hair!! Burned my 10 year old nieces hair supposedly doing "all natural Karatin" treatment and used extremely excessive heat to the point of burning her and having to be told several times to turn the heat down. Her hair is coming out now in hand fulls! Would post a pic of it if the site allowed me to. Looked good afterwards but started falling out shortly after. All natural treatment was PROBABLY NOT all natural. Will definitely be reporting to better business bureau.

Friendly and She always take walk ins....and if you arrived doing closed..she LEAVE her cell phone number on the door so you can call her. Yes she dont speak good English but she do speak english and understand very welled....The Chinese dont speak English but that dont stop many from eating at thier restaurant. I been coming to monica for my blow out for almost ten years. Im a loyal client and she so nice and she gives BACK to her country to help the poor and needed. She work so hard to get where she is today.

Im always at Monicas when my tresses need love. This one particular time I got my hair done by a wedding beautician for a wedding (I was a bridesmaid), but she did a horrible job. So the day of the wedding I walked into Monicas they fit me right in and worked their magic. They reassured me everything would be okay. They made sure I was done well before I needed to be at the venue. Now I dont trust anyone else to do it unless I need braids. They are awesome!

They do hair good...but its dirty with hair all over the floor and fleas. They never show up on time to even open up the shop. Very unprofessional all together. They will have five people waiting to get there hair rolled and three people under the dryer. And only two workers working in the salon and both of them are on the phone...or texting. They are not a good hair salon. Once again I will say VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Horrible pulls and Tugs your hair doesnt know how to dye hair charge you more than they say they will cant speak English dirty shop very unprofessional keeps you waiting just people here before yours I think they can only few Dominican hair thats there comfort zone... doesnt know how to style and cut your hair you walked out looking like an old lady horrible horrible horrible!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible experience!! They pulled and tugged my hair no mercy. And didnt wanna use a heat protection. If you wanna keep your hair. Stay away from this place. I would give no stars if i could. Minus the bad hair experience the place is dirty and there is no AC. So you swear you hair out while your getting it done.

They do hair good but they are unprofessional and they have no one here never to do your hair anymore. I have been waiting here for 45 minutes to get my hair roll up they wash my hair and I am waiting now for someone to do my hair. I think someone should look n to them for the way they conduct business

I waited for almost an hour jus to get my hair trimed and still dint even get seen. I had about 4-5 people get seen before me but I was there way before them. Always on their phones and the environment is horrible.

I get my daughters hair done here and they do a wonderful job everytime theyre very pleasant and hospitable I would definitely suggest them to anyone looking for good quality at an affordable price
