Can you post less than one star? The phone has been off the hook, not busy, for 2+ hours. How do I know? I had it checked. While most of the world uses on line banking, and on line bill paying and on line living, my husband and I prefer to do those same things the old fashion way: in person, live. For the 2nd time in as many months, and without warning, our mail has been stopped. Not by anything weve done but because - this time it was a change in carriers. Someone left, others had to pick up the slack, and poof!! no mail for 3 business days. That never happens, except the last time it happened, April 2016, when we never received our monthly bills. The bills werent paid and our credit cards were suspended: cards we have had for almost 40 years without a blemish. "Why dont you just pay on line?" "Because we dont want to and we have a right to have our mail delivered, as the Post Office says it will do, each business day, including Saturday." This time a post truck finally came through the development - which happens to be a stones throw from this Post Office! - the mail person advised my retired husband that with the carrier gone, mail has been split among four or five others, nope he didnt have any of ours, and drove off. A personal trip, to this Post Office, advised us that our mail is out of Ashburn (?) - seriously. I can walk to the Catoctin Street station in 5 minutes and our mail is out of Ashburn? - call them. TWO calls to them and nothing. Close to 4:30 PM , today, three days into the no service service, a truck did come by and surprise! he had mail for us. Bills of course. But bills that were posted a week ago, on line, when I contacted the companies yesterday because we were worried that, once again, wed be penalized for something we have no control over. How we chose to receive, and pay our bills are our choice and no one elses. The Post Office has an obligation to deliver our mail to us, in a timely manner and not just because an afternoon was wasted calling one place, or the other, and being asked, no less than five times: "so you havent gotten any mail? "No, no mail." "No mail?: No flyers?" "No, no mail." "No advertisements" "No, no mail." "No magazines?" "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NO! NO MAIL OF ANY KIND." Then the person on the line, Mike said "OK" and hung up on me. Seriously - you cannot make this up.

If I could give them LESS than one star, I would!! We applied for our daughters passport here...and despite having an appointment they were TOTALLY ill-prepared for us. Their copier was not working...and we even offered to just run across the street to get the process moving, but were turned down. One person started the application...stopped, another took over, and was clueless. Ultimately we were there for nearly an hour. Thought we were done....then a few weeks later we get a letter in the mail that something in our application was done incorrectly, and that they passport office needed it fixed...and that our time was now, in essence, restarting!! Argh...so an application that should have taken 3-6 weeks, was now MUCH longer with our travel date looming large in a matter of DAYS. We had to pay to expedite the process now....ugh, what idiots. WARNING: do NOT use this post office for passport applications...you will regret it!

I called USPS asking when they would deliver a package to my apartment and whether or not they drop packages off at the door or in the mailbox or at the club house. I was not expecting a very detailed response; I was pleasantly surprised when the employee that I was talking to went out of her way to call the person who was going to deliver the package to my apartment to ask her when she would arrive in my complex. Thank you so much USPS! You guys made my day.

Absolutely horrible service. The old man on the phone (i think he was asian) was very rude, kept cutting me off and not being very understanding. I tried to remain calm and be nice but he was just too much. I dont even consider that customer service. And he answered my phone call after the 4th time. Wish I could give ZERO stars.

The worse phone service I have ever seen. Trying to get my passport renewed but I cant get anyone to answer the phone, the automated system keeps trying to get me to go to Maryland when the closest office for passports is down the road from me. This experience is so bad I am considering just mailing it in instead

The employees at this post office are so insanely rude. Dont try to ask them anything, because if youre lucky enough to get an answer, it will be rushed as if youre bothering them acting like they have something important to do, but in reality they just sit back down and stare angrily.

Do what ever u can NOT TO GO HERE!!!!! There custoner ervice is horrible... i signed for a package to be delivered..never came. Called the next day.. phone was busy and when i did get someone to answer-he was rude and talked over me. U GET PAID TO DELIVER MAIL

what is going on with this service phone line are always busy at all times I been try to call since yesterday and today since this morning contact them to make appointment for Renew passport and is the same please somebody need to do something about.

Had a package come in here. They refused to deliver my package because it was "too big" and just returned it to the sender without notifying me or giving me the opportunity to come pick it up (which I wouldve done). Absolutely ridiculous.

I thought long line will give me a hard job waiting a while but there were 2 kiosk machine to do yourself. They even did for me and others, too basically they extended 2 more registers in there. Super fast and friendly!!!

No concept of customer service or courtesy. They only had flat rate Priority Mail boxes in an effort to rip off the public by charging twice the regular rate. This dinosaur cant die fast enough.
