I can barely give this place ONE STAR without wanting to fly into a blind rage. I paid for a car seat to be delivered to my house so that I could, you know, actually drive places with my daughter. It has been OVER A WEEK SINCE DELIVERY WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE OCCURRED AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY CAR SEAT. I received a notification of redelivery, which I promptly filled out and selected that the item be delivered as soon as possible and that no further signature would be required. That night, my mail lady knocked at my door after dark around 6:15pm and stated that the package was so large that no other packages could be put in the truck. Im sorry, but that is NOT MY PROBLEM. I have no way to pick up the package from the post office, and I PAID FOR THE PACKAGE TO BE BROUGHT TO ME. It has been 8 business days since, and THE PACKAGE IS STILL MISSING. I call the post office and get either a busy signal or no answer. Apparently no one in Louisa actually works? This merely solidifies the publics absolute DISDAIN for the post office and all their workers. YOU work for US. You are a PUBLIC SERVANT, AND WE PAY YOUR SALARIES. How about you actually EARN it?!?! After surviving a 15 minute automated tree on the national USPS phone line, I have supposedly rescheduled delivery for tomorrow, but I have BIG, BIG DOUBTS that it will actually arrive.

Only giving two stars because of the one nice woman that works there, otherwise Id give zero if I could. Some days its hit or miss with going into the actual post office. Everyone seems like theyre annoyed with you when you come in and they usually have one person dealing with a line full of people. Ive also had someone elses mail delivered to me on MULTIPLE occasions. Whoever drives the white jeep looking vehicle doesnt even come to the door if you need to sign for a package. They pulled up right by the door and honked at 10 in the morning so I could sign for a package..which woke me up. Half the time they just leave a slip in the mailbox instead of actually coming to the door so I can sign for it. I guess walking a few steps to the door and talking to someone is too much for them. I really wish I could write something more positive but its just not possible.

At least once every two weeks we receive our neighbors mail. Who receives ours? I take my neighbors mail to them, but no one is returning mine, so I have no idea what has happened to my mail. That is IF we get mail, it seems that at least once or twice a week , and it is usually a Wednesday, there is simply no mail delivery at all. I do not know if there is simply a shortage of personnel or what. I have lived here for 15 years and it has always been this way. I have now tried to have most of my mail delivered to my place of work to keep it safe, which is ridiculous. Judging from the other reviews it looks like this post office could use some help and reorganization. I also avoid as much as possible having to go into the office to do any business, I will go to other post offices in Charlottesville or Crozet instead. Sad.

Sitting at a closed business on rt.623 at intersection of 522. In front of a locked gate and past the mailbox when the route carrier pulled up beside me in her white SUV and began cursing and hurling obscenities because she had to back up after putting mail in box. She then took of at speeds in excess of 60 mph in a 30 mph speed zone to keep me from obtaining her tag number. Incredibly rude ,vulgar and disrespectful to the general public. Will be filling a formal complaint with USPS human resources thru my attorney. PUBLIC SERVANT does not mean self important, get the hell out of my way.

Worst post office ever. They deliver packages and mail only when its convenient for them. Got a message from Amazon saying a delivery was attempted but my mailbox was full. Well we checked the mail and there wasnt any. So I called the post office (where someone did actually answer at 7pm!) and they told me that earlier that day my mail carrier wasnt feeling well and went home. But by 7pm I expect that someone else should be delivering my mail! Maybe the lady who answered the phone could have done it! This is just the latest of a multitude of issues we have had with this post office.

Our delivery person says she cant drive down our driveway because there is no turnaround but it is funny that UPS & FedEx have no issues and they are in a much bigger truck. Even went to the branch postal manager who said it is for the safety of children. Well we have a full fenced in yard and our driveway is outside the fenced yard. We now have to pick up our packages from the post office. My step-dad was a postal carrier back when you did whatever it took to deliver the mail. These people now a days are just plain lazy!

If I could rate zero stars I would. Has to be the worst post office anywhere. Not only do we not receive our packages/mail we cant even get in touch with anyone to file a complaint. Wont answer phone calls, rude and no help in person.

I am always getting my neighbors mail and Im sure they get mine. Ive only lived here about 7 months but have already been late paying my water bill one time because the bill got lost or never got to me.

Simply the worst usps dealing Ive ever had. This post master needs to be fired. Unorganized, lazy, and rude. They misplaced my package that was worth 150$ and now Im up shots creek

This is rating our delivery person two times they have folded envelopes in half to fit them in our mailbox that had important contents that were not supposed to be bent.

Got told to call back after 1 PM, then rudely hung up on. After 1PM, Im getting nothing but busy signals. Have tried calling over 100 times now.

Never receive the correct mail or my mail when it has a tracking number confirming delivery then to get home and find no mail at all

Not sure what the bad reviews are about, but I had a great experience. The lady at the counter was nothing but nice and helpful.
