I went in to look for some products for my dreadlocks and I turned a bottle to read the back and see the price. I then put my hand back in my pull over hoodie pocket where my wallet was and she ran over and started yelling at me to "give it back". I had a hoodie with only my wallet in it, flat shoes and skin tight leggings. The container was a huge, short, round container (like one youd find for gel or pomade). There is no way I would or could have stolen from her. I have spent over $100 in her store and work 2 stores over from her at the vape shop in the mall. I had no problem telling her that. She called me behind the counter to watch the security video and played it back multiple times, which shows that I did not steal anything, and then paused to ask if I was going to buy what I had in my hands. I offered to take my hoodie off, shoes off and I set my wallet on the counter and she said it wasnt necessary. She said she will call the cops and I ENCOURAGED her to. I would have HAPPILY let a cop do a search on me. She told me to get out of her shop, that she will save the video and post my picture, and she will call the cops if I come back in. I feel COMPLETELY disrespected and embarrassed and she missed out on a $55 purchase before tax. I will never be going back, clearly. I hope everyone sees this review and others where theyve been accused of stealing and people dont waste their time with this kind of disrespect towards the customer.

I will never return to this cheap quality beauty supply store ever again after the Asian manager, Ms. Thang, accused me of stealing from the store (8/4/15) she totally humiliated me in front of other customers and her staff!!! I work for the government and even had my government ID still on when I came into J Beauty Supply. Why in the world would I steal from a cheap quality store like this? I will never recommend this store to anyone I know. J Beauty Supply has poor customer service skills but I do not blame the employees, I blame Ms. Thang because she has poor customer service skills! I have never been treated so horribly ever in life, until I came into J Beauty Supply in Manassas Mall.

This lady, who is supposed to be the manager, started yelling at me. This started when she told me the price of a shampoo, and then when I paid, it reflected another price. Therefore, I decided to not sign that check because I, as a client, decided to void it. I know those checks are supposed to be discard and keep the ones that says "void." However, she insisted and started yelling that I have to sign no matter what. Obviously, I didnt do it and I tried to explain it to her. She got so irritated and proceeded to told me "go, and never come back." Are you serious? What kind of customer service is it? She needs to be retrained.

They have a nice selection of hair products for all types of textures. Customer service could use some improvement, but they are better than most of the Korean vendors Ive come across. My issue is with the stylist named Phillip who runs the salon in the back of the store. I found her to be rude and insulting. She made nasty comments about my hair when I went to her for braiding. She insulted and embarrassed me in front of another client. Someone should tell Ms. Thang to not use a comb attachment when blow drying natural hair. She made me very uncomfortable and I dont want to even return to the store to purchase products.

The owner stereotypes every African American that enters the store, literally 5 seconds upon me entering I caught her following me. Im a business owner of a tax firm, so why on earth would I be stealing? So I ignored her at first, but after I stopped she ran into me, because thats how much she was on my tail. I told her I was going to report her and she just started going crazy, telling me to get out, Im black, Im a thief. I wanted to cry from embarrassment but I just left. Words to the wise, NEVER COME TO THIS STORE.

I loved that store they have everything and I liked the manager she is nice lady who does not speak English very well but there are a little young girl and she helps a lot ...the Asian lady is busy all the time ,the store has cameras but the is full of the best products I ever seen ..all together at same place .i love that store and Ginger is very nice too
