The Firestone, she has taught me a valuable lesson. The lesson is to just do your own work on your own car, it becomes more yours that way. Once upon a time I knew these things, but after crawling under hot oily cars in gravel driveways for so many years, I thought "hey, I make a bit of money now, why shouldnt I do like all my other middle class folk and pay someone to crawl under my hot oily car?" Now I own a 1985 Chevy Blazer, its a military surplus CUCV with the 6.2L Diesel and a 4 inch lift. This is, of course, an unusual vehicle. So I called ahead to make sure they could do the work. "Yes!" they said. "Bring er on in!" they said. So I did, but alas! When I got there they said to themselves "Oh no! This car is different! What shall we do?" And aloud they said "We cant put that on a lift". I queried "Why not?" They replied "Well, you see, the arms of the lift would have to reach very far up and be shaped differently to reach so high". Internally I said "B...S...." and aloud I began to explain that the frame and body are the same, and once the lift reaches 4 inches higher than normal its the same as any other vehicle. In fact it would be smaller frame to roof than a tall work van that they put on lifts all the time and that the only way that makes sense is if the car were lowered, which may present some difficulty. I began to explain that putting a car on a lift is only one way to change the oil, you can always crawl under one so tall (which is what I did a half hour later). But I only got a few words into my explanation before I could see in the mans eye that he did not want to do the work. So I stopped. Its never a good idea to cajole someone into working on your car or truck, unless you are in extremis and the emergency requires it. I said "if you dont want to do it, then I dont want you to either". And he said "I dont want to do it" Ok So I said "Good Day" and did what I should have done originally: I did the work myself for probably a lot less than theyd have charged me to do work they didnt want to do. That always comes at a premium. Maybe this Firestone does good work, Ill never know. I will heed the lesson and get my own hands dirty.

I am giving them NO STARS, but it made me do atleast one to publish!!!! I took my niece in there to have an estimate done on 1/3/2014. She had an 11:00 am appointment to get this looked at. The man at the counter told us it would be LESS THAN 30 minutes before they got it in the bay so we said we would grab lunch, BUT to call us with the estimate before starting the work. We finished eating and it had been over an hour. When we return 1.5 hours later the vehicle was still sitting outside in the same spot. The gentleman told us that they had to use the bay for something else. I guess that means we got bumped from our appointment. He noticed how disturbed we became and said they would get it in right away. Once the estimate was done and he told us the price, we had him put it back together and we left. Unbelievable that OReillys tells us that they sell them the brake pads and they couldnt believe the price they were charging. We had this job done for less at a dealership for several hundred dollars less (Firestone quoted us $940). WHAT A RIP OFF. The sad part is that while we were in there, another customer (male) was unhappy and going off on them. NEVER NEVER NEVER recommend Firestone ever. What is the point of appointments if you cant keep them and then to overcharge?!?!?! Great business guys!!!!!!! NOT!!!!

I have praised Firestone for a while. I was a faithful customer with no issues. UNTIL, I went in a few months ago and they found that I needed my brake rotors replaced. Got the work done and notice the brakes still seemed strange. I do not know anything about cars, so I assumed I was just going crazy because there is no way I spent over $900 to get work done and it is still broken. Months passed, and I took my car in for a normal oil change and state inspection Tuesday morning. Firestone called me that afternoon to tell me the brakes they supposedly fixed months ago were the wrong type of rotors! The man even stated he could not believe I was able to drive as long as I did. I was furious. They would not let me take the car until it was fixed. Luckily their parts are lifetime warranty. Regardless, they messed up big time! To make it worse, it took two days to finally get my car back when it only should have taken 2-4 hours. I picked up my car Thursday afternoon, began to drive away and noticed there was no state inspection sticker on my car! I had to go back and wait 15 minutes for that! I was a faithful customer,,, not anymore. I will never use them again.

Firestone has always been my go-to place for all my vehicle needs. I have always encountered such friendly and knowledgeable people. I know my little car is in good hands when I leave it with them. Today, Mike helped me out of a difficult situation. My car not only had a flat tire, but the tire was rusted on so bad that it wasnt coming off. Thats when I called up Firestone to ask for some advise. It was after hours, but Mike still answered the phone and told me what I should do. Unfortunately, nothing was working so I called back to see if he had any other ideas. He offered to come out and help me! That took me by surprise. Most people are always in such a hurry to leave once they are off. When he arrived, he immediately started to work, but the tire wouldnt budge for him either. He used his portable air compressor and filled up my tire then made sure I got to the Firestone location safe and sound. This man deserves a raise :) thanks again, Mike!

I dont know what has happened at this store in the past six months. Every other time I went in, the staff was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable. However, last week when I took my car in for an oil change and state inspection, I was told that I would need to pay for a light bulb that they had replaced less than six months previous AND that my car failed for structural damage. This turned out to be a missing bolt to my seat. When I went in to pick the car up, the staff advised that once I got the bolt fixed (at the dealer), I could swing by and the inspector would take me immediately since it was only that one issue. When I called today to ask what time was best, I was told by Clarissa that I would have to drop it off, preferably the night before. Once I complained repeatedly and spoke to the manager (Derek), they were miraculously able to work me in for my re-inspection. Needless to say, I wont be returning.
