i dont know what to say first ,i dont do reviews ,but i feel i must ,i am 56 yrs.old and i am very ,very,concerned about looking older ,i want to look great ,my hair has always been extremely important to me ,i am a breast cancer survivor ,of 14 yrs. and my hair just simply is more important to me than anything else about my looks ,if my hair is not perfect ,i get very,very,upset and depressed ,i want to look modern and instyle ,and i want to have awesome hair . i have been to every upscale nice salon in norfolk and va.beach ,and chesapeake ,to name a few ,changes salon ,aoc salon ,gary allen salon ,and several others .Impressions is by far everything i ever dreamed of ,everyone in the salon is extremely nice ,it feels like a family ,it is comfortable ,everyone speaks to me and treats me like part of the family ,it is an enjoyable experience just to be in the salon ,i would love to get to know everyone better ,they are just too nice .the owner and other stylist are very interested in you ,and they do not ignore you ,just because they are not the one doing your hair ,everything is relaxing at the salon ,its not loud ,or cold ,or too bright ,it has a very homey feeling to it .all that being said ,let me talk about my stylist ,she is Patti ,she is very kind ,and understanding ,she takes her time ,and really ,really, listens to you ,and you feel like you can talk openly about your concerns and what you are looking for ,i am always extremely nervous ,and she makes me feel very,very,comfortable ,she is very sincere ,i love everything about her personality ,i know she would be a wonderful friend even if she didnt do my hair . but i pray she ,always ,always ,always does my hair ,she is extremely talented ,i have changed my hairstyle every time i have seen her ,and she has done it perfect every time,she never rushes ,i have very thick wavy hair ,and its a lot of work to cut ,and i have paid fortunes and i have gotten awful cuts ,i have paid $ 300.00 to $400.00 to have my hair cut and highlighted and it has been so awful , this has been the only time i have ever had highlights and they were exactly what i wanted ,right color right thickness , i felt like it was a miracle,because i have never ever had highlights that looked good ..when its bad i cry for days and days ,and have no money left to get it corrected ,and i feel hurt and crushed that someone would do such an awful job,my hair has to be perfect its just that simple ,and Patti is simply the very ,very,best ,she is extremely talented ,i think being an awesome stylist is more about just being able to do the cut ,its more complicated than that ,she really has a gift ,i love everything about her ,EVERYTHING ,whether you are young or old male or female you would be happy with her and the salon ,i think she truly loves her job and cares about making her clients feel great ,it is a huge relief to know i have such a wonderful ,awesome ,amazing stylist ,simply awesome ,,i am so lucky to have finally found the perfect salon and perfect stylist ,i cannot truly say how important it is to me to know i have such an awesome place to go ,and i love ,love ,love ,my hair ,it has never looked this good ,i get tons of complements and it makes me feel beautiful ,which is what i think everyone wants ,i get noticed and feel confident ,which is so great a feeling after having cancer .. go to Empressions ,and you will be so thrilled . sincerely Karen l.Claypool

The staff actually LISTENS to what the customer wants! I have tried a lot of salons and far too often, the stylist will take creative liberties with my hair because they assume they know what I want better than I do. The young lady who did my hair at Impressions (I feel awful that I cant remember her name) took the time to listen to me and did exactly what I asked her to do. The cut she did came out so good, I havent needed a hair cut for about 6 months now. I still dont even really need a cut, but Im going back today to support a fantastic salon!

I have been going to Impressions Salon for several years after trying a few other salons in Virginia Beach. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the prices are very reasonable and there is ample parking both on the street and in the parking lot behind the building. I would highly recommend Impressions Salon to anyone looking for a new look or stylist.

This is hands down the best salon experience in Hampton Roads. Anna is amazing with cuts and color. She listens to want you want and does it. I always feel happy leaving her chair. There is never pressure to buy products, unlike many other salons in the area. it is a very fun and pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend Impressions!

Anna has been cutting my hair for a few months now, she always listens to what I want and never tries to push any products on me. I will continue to go here. The place is clean and theres a great atmosphere! I recommend if youre wanting to try a new look. They will make sure you leave with the hair style you wanted.

Got my first haircut at Impressions today. Anna is the best!! She is very skilled, and after many bad hair experiences, I am so glad that I found her. I wanted to get my hair healthier, and I left today feeling better about my hair than I had in years. She was thorough and caring. I highly recommend her.

The best salon in town by far! I always have a great time when I step in and I look even better stepping out. They are very talented and listen to exactly what you want. I have never had a bad experience. I love all the stylists there!
