I have been using this shop for over 10 years but recently had begun to lose confidence in them. Boy was I wrong!!! Dont be afraid to give them a try. I dont think you will regret it. Heres why.... Recently I took my truck in to have my tires (Goodyear Kevlar P275/65R20) rotated and balanced. I had a noticeable vibration after the work was done. I decided to try a different shop without raising my concerns to the shop manager Andrew. I must say I regret that decision. The other shop discovered two of my very expensive tires were defective and could not be properly balanced to bring them within specs. I returned the truck to this shop and spoke with Andrew. He was very helpful and immediately initiated a warranty claim to Goodyear to get my defective tires replaced. Goodyear agreed to give me a 50% discount on two new replacement tires. Initially I was pleased with this offer but after thinking about it, decided that just replacing the two defective tires was not acceptable. I currently have 40K miles on this set of tires. I always replace my tires as a set. They were installed as a set and I wanted to keep them as a set which meant I would need to replace all four. I contacted Andrew and plead my case to him stating I felt the fair thing for Goodyear to do was to replace all four of my tires at a 50% discount. Andrew understood my concern as was more than willing to forward my request to Goodyear but suggested my case would carry more weight if Goodyear heard it directly from me. I agreed and so I pleaded my case directly to customer service team at Goodyear. The Goodyear representative I spoke with (Kim) was very helpful and placed me on hold for a few minutes while she contacted the shop. After speaking with the shop, she came back on the line and told me Goodyear was not only going to give me 50% off the two defective tires, they were also going to give me 80% off replacements for my two good tires! Wow, that was above and beyond and reinforced to me why I want to continue to put Goodyear tires on all my vehicles. It means a lot when a company stands behind its product and is willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy when things occasionally go wrong. Thank you Goodyear! Additionally, since I had such a bad experience with my current tires, Andrew offered to waive the labor charges for installation and balancing as well as a $30 discount on a front end alignment. Wow again! This shop really does stand behind its work! If you are unhappy for any reason, dont hesitate to bring it up with Andrew or your service rep. They want to earn your business and want to know when things go wrong so they can correct them. Thank you Hogan and Sons of Purcellville!!! Dont hesitate to use this shop for all your car repair needs and think about switching to Goodyear for your next set of tires. This experience has reinforced to me why I will continue to run Goodyear tires installed by this shop on all of my vehicles.

TREATS YOU LIKE FAMILY. HONEST. THOROUGH. I am so thankful for Hogan & Sons! Our car started acting up and H&S did an inexpensive fix in the hopes that itd work but, when it didnt, helped me over the phone while I was out of town and then, after we returned home, they looked it over and said it was time to sell. They could have sold me expensive, temporary "fixes", but were honest and treated me like family member instead of a cash cow and I appreciate that very much. When shopping for the new (used) car, we brought one to Harry and halfway through the pre-purchasing inspection, he stopped and said, "Please dont buy this car", proceeded to show my husband all the reasons it was a lemon, and only charged us for 1/2 the inspection. Harry insisted we go to a specific dealer in Leesburg, which we did, and brought back another car for him to inspect. They could find nothing wrong with this one and were very happy for us to be settled in a reliable car. Its been so nice having Harry and H&Ss help in this car-buying process. Their expertise really gives us peace of mind and I enjoy Harrys friendliness and genuine concern for our familys safety and finances. Note: Ive heard that some do not prefer H&Ss because they often give a long list of suggested repairs at check out and, I admit, this bothered me at first, too. I thought they were making up repairs to get more money. But, having gone there for a while now, I know they are just telling me whats coming up in the maintenance que--which has been helpful in budgeting and planning. Simply ask and they will explain which items are most urgent to repair and why, when you should do it, and how much it will cost. That information and subsequent preventative action helps prevent surprise repairs and costs down the road.

I Had two negative experiences here. The first one was an oil change. They came back with a list of items wrong with my car. I just wanted an oil change. The second was a tire repair job. Again they came back with a list of items wrong with the vehicle. I just wanted a tire repair job. One of the items they informed me of was struts. They stated that the vehicle needed four new struts all way around. I recently had brand new front struts placed on this vehicle from another local garage. I have the paperwork to prove it. Im not sure how brand new front struts are already needing replaced. I talked to the manager about this. He said they perform a courtesy check on all vehicles during the service and the the customer can decline the service. Neither time I was there, was I informed that they would do a courtesy check, and if it is written somewhere, I certainly was not given the opportunity to decline. I dont necessarily have a problem with a courtesy check if a customer REQUESTS it. However, I do have a problem with being told something needs replaced when it is new, recently put on, and does not need replaced. Please keep this information in mind when going to this business. I will not be returning.

Its a rare thing to meet people who take an interest in your car/truck the same way as yourself; yet this is exactly what the professionals at this auto service shop have done on each occasion we have serviced our vehicles there. My wife ran something over and damage the under carriage of her vehicle- there was fluid slowly leaking underneath. I brought it by the shop, they looked at it immediately, topped off the fluids, and sent her to the dealership to have it fixed... since it was still under warranty. They could have done the service/fix there at the shop, but they would have had to charge us. As it was, then didnt even charge us for the inspection and topping off of fluids. How many shops do you know who would do this kind of thing over making a buck? This shows us that from management down to the service technician, they actually care about you and your welfare. Sounds like family to us... we plan to be customers there for as long as we live in the area.
