I went to bubbles to get my hair curled today. When I made my appointment I said my hair would be dry and ready to go and all I needed was my hair to be curled and they gave me a quote of $20 (or $30 to add a single braid). I got there a bit late and my hair was still damp from my shower I hadnt planned to take until an hour or so before my appointment. Therefore they said it would now cost $40 just for my hair to be blow dry and curled without a single braid added. My hair was already washed so it literally only needed to be blown dry a bit before adding a few curls. This was double what I was expecting so I was hesitant but they later offered for the blow dry and curl to be $30, so I decided to go for it. At the end the hair dresser added a single braid which I appreciated and tipped $7. HOWEVER, within 30 minutes of me leaving the salon the curls were falling out of my hair and not even 2 hours later my hair is mostly straight again with a few waves here and there making it look not so great - not something I want to go to my event wearing. I was sitting in a air conditioned room the entire time making sure nothing touched my hair so the curls shouldnt have dropped so easily or so soon. The ONLY thing I wanted when I came to bubbles was for a few curls in my hair but $37 and 2 hrs later I have a wave or two in my hair left. I appreciate that they worked with me on price and that the hair stylist added a single braid in the end, but now I have to decide whether its worth it to simply start over, re-wash my hair and curl it myself or leave these limp curls in my hair:( either way it was not work $37, I could made my hair look like this with the few waves that are left myself.

Bad experience! I took the Google reviews as references, and asked Kathy to cut my hair. Not professional with lack of ethic. I explained her that my hair is curly and have a lot of volume, that needs a good haircut and experience stylist, to take the volume down and keep the curls , but shaping the curls, nicely and smooth. I showed her 4 different pictures, exactly the kind of haircut I wanted, I asked her if she could do it for me, she said yes, the haircut will be $50.00 My hairs end up without any curls, like chunks without any shape. On top of that she kept complaining that my haircut doesn’t take half an hour to cut but one hour, that I was lucky she didnt have anybody after me. That my haircut was not worth $ 50.00 but $ 60.00, and she was doing a favor to me, since it was the first time. I complained that my haircut was bad, formless, she became angry. So I told her to finish up. On top of that, at the cashier, she was waiting like an eagle to give her a tip. I paid the $50.00 haircut+ $6.00 tip, well, she was unsatisfied, she move her mouth to one side of her face; I suppose she was expecting the $10.00 difference of the haircut. When I left the place, I couldnt come back to my job, I had to call my regular hair stylist, and ask her if she could fix my hair the very same day.

I was going to Bubbles Reston for several years. My stylist who was really good left so I had to take new person. First of all, the pamphlet in the salon states haircut, style blow dry was $30-$40. The receptionist also said that. I got a new asian girl who cut my 14 year old daughters hair. ! inch off the bottom and trimmed the bangs. 10 minutes...tops. She then charged me $45.00. The receipt said $30 for cut $5.00 for bangs, and $10 upcharge. Since when are the bangs an upcharge??? Why the extra $10.00 too?? While I was there 3 people paid...2 were charged $30 and 1 was charged $35. Jaylnn was her name. I will NEVER EVER RETURN THERE. I also had to fix an uneven pieced on her bangs myself. I guess she figured since I was a walkin that I wouldnt know. I have a call into the manager. I would not recommend Bubbles Reston to anyone.

Showed up ten minutes early for my appointment. Was told it was with a different stylist, when I had the appointment card to prove who my appointment was with. Sat for twenty minutes, was talked to by no one, was greeted by no one, had no idea who my stylist was. Then when I went to leave, a stylist who had just started cutting someone elses hair said "Oh, Im your stylist, Im almost finished!" I had hoped to find this to be a good, professional salon because its right next to where I work and super convenient to go over there on lunch to get a haircut. However, if theyre going to be that unprofessional about the whole deal, forget it!

I went to this salon a couple of days ago and I could not be happier! Not only are the stylists very talented at what they do, but they are just great and genuine people in general. The customer service was great and my stylist, Nora Darwish, did a fantastic job! I came into the Salon for a balayage but I honestly didnt really know what I wanted. I showed her a couple of pictures and she instantly knew the vision I had in mind for my hair. I couldnt be happier with the turnout. She even curled my hair at the end to show me what my new hair would look like styled. Amazing job! I would Definitely suggest her for any color treatments.

Awful. If a business does not have the resources and staff to give a proper color & cut during Saturday volume then they should not be scheduling these types of appointments on a Saturday. The stylist told treated me as though she did not have time to provide the service I had scheduled. She was only 20 minutes into my color/highlight process when her next customer walked in. Also, when scheduling an appointment with a stylist, try to be sure that there will not be any language barriers between you & the stylist. Especially if they are acting like they do not have time to listen to their clients!!!!!

Laura, the stylist, seems really nice and talented. She was polite with my mom and did a great job. I was not impressed with the tone of the receptionist. She was curt and had an impatient tone of voice when answering my moms call and answering her questions. My mom speaks with an accent and she seemed to be annoyed at having to listen to her. When I spoke (sans accent) the receptionist was just a tad courteous The staff also stands at the counter and gossips about the patrons and each other. If you can, I recommend paying a little more and going to PR and Partners or Maude in Herndon.

I have been going to this salon for a while now, and generally in the past had satisfactory experiences. Just had a horrible one. The person who scheduled me didnt schedule enough time for what I had asked for, so the stylist told me she didnt have time to do everything I wanted. When I pointed out that I had specifically asked for that during scheduling, I just got a shrug. Ended up not being able to do a thorough job, and treated me like I was a pest. Will find someplace new.
