sucks! I went there three times and each time, the service was rushed and the stylists seemed to want to do the minimum. New customers are treated badly. First time they shampooed, conditioned and styled my hair. I told the stylist to create a style for me and she just did a pony tail??!! Second time, I picked the style (2 strands twists) and it was so big, I must have had 5 twists total on my head. Third time I had the regular plus a trim and cornrows ($95 for the cornrows). Not only was the hair unevenly cut, but the cornrows were so big the style had nothing in common with what was advertised. Basically you dont get much for your money. And the stylist are not looking to work hard and deliver whats expected. I dislike that place.

Ive gone to many places to get my hair cut, and I cant say enough about the amazing staff at Texture. Ramsey is excellent, the fact that I can just sit at his station, and he just cuts and styles without ever having to ask, is amazing! He always knows how to cut it, to suit me. All the staff there is friendly, knowledgeable, funny, professional, and dont forget...attractive ;-) The whole essence of Texture is fun, and relaxing, all at the same time, when you walk through those doors, you feel like part of the family. Its obvious Ramsey and all the staff figured out the secret to enjoy what they do, and be happy doing it, without compromising their professionalism, or quality. Keep up the great work gang!!

I had had my hair in braids for a while, took them out myself, washed my hair, etc, then went to Textures a few days later to have my new growth relaxed. The result looked good but the stylists were so insulting! They were talking about how bad my hair had looked and how my stylist had performed a miracle and all kind of insulting talk. Yes, my hair had two months new growth but I had come to the salon with a neat ponytail. Furthermore, they could have waited until I left, although I am glad they didnt because it ensured I never went there again! That was a couple of years ago, maybe they changed . . . DOUBT IT.

Just called in to ask some questions and the woman was pretty inhospitable. I only asked three questions max and she sounded annoyed. She didnt seem to understand English that well either. It may be just me, but when Im asking questions about how my hair will be cut I want someone who understands what Im saying completely. Lastly, I couldnt even finish saying "okay thank you" before she abruptly hung up the phone. Because of that one phone call, Im very discouraged to setting foot in that place.

I just went to Textures Salon yesterday (7/21/10) and I must say I am glad to be a new customer. My stylist was Arieta and she was personable, talented, and informative. She evaluated my hair carefully, asked me questions about it, and it came out so soft! I got two-strand twists and my hair looks very nice! The staff is friendly and the salon is beautiful. I hope I can finally say that I have found a Black salon that can do all types of hair and help women have beautiful hair. Thank you!

Marissa always does my daughters hair and each time its perfect. She treats her with such care, and she talks to her about how she wants her hair styled to make her feel like a big girl (she looks over her head to make sure it is ok with me of course). But my daughter loves the experience, I get time back on my hands, and work last. Finally, the prices are reasonable and they are convenient. Love this shop!

My daughter and i always see Ms. Pat who owns the shop when we go to Textures ...she and her staff are THE BEST...very friendly and helpful and every last one them knows their stuff! Excellent customer service! And since I go there very often and have for several years now, I know what Im talking about...highly-qualified staff...I would highly recommend every last one of them!

PROs if you have locks and braids/cornrolls? like them fresh to deaf? and good advice on keeping it up? GO TO AFIYA!!! she does my locks well! the onces that fell out she sawed it back on like its brand new!! she braids like a champ!! she really needs to own her salon!!

The vibe at Texture is super fun and friendly. Ramsey is a magician. Im constantly changing my colour and recently transitioned from burgundy to back to blonde and my hair is baby soft and looks healthier than before bleaching. Magic!
