Blue Dress

My friend went here two days ago, they quoted her a price over the phone of course when she got there the price had gone up by $70. She decided to keep looking and they finally agreed to the original price. She waited an hour for her appointment to even start. She was there for over 8 hours for braids, the lady kept leaving her and switching with some other girl and then leaving and coming back, leaving coming back. Other people who came in later were leaving before her and to top it all off they burned her hair in a way she did not ask for it to be done, she brought a picture and everything they didnt even ask her as their client. she got very upset and kinda got emotional because it had been a long terrible day for her and went back in to speak with a manager and was literally yelled at by an employee, she literally took all her braids out today. I write this on her behalf bc i feel so awful for her and I know she would never speak up and share this review and their is nothing worse then seeing your friend be disrespected, let down and ripped off by a company.

I had a really poor experience from my braider and dont think Ill be going back. I paid good money for something I didnt really want. I gave three stars because I actually like the style I just wish it was at least the right length. I also really liked the owner, she was very sweet. My braider was a little on the rude side she insulted by making a rude comment about my hair washed which hurt my feelings, I was already upset from something else to begin with. So she continued to braid my hair anyway and halfway through asked why I wanted them thick, I DIDNT WANT THEM THICK. I guess that wasnt communicated clearly to her when she came in. I also wanted them about waist length, which I also did not get. I think about 5 of them are waist length. When I told her I didnt want them thick she asked me to show her how I wanted them ( umm youre a little too late for that).

WTH!! I was checking Out my braids to make sure it was being braided like I ask. Well it wasnt while I continued to talk to my braider the Owner tells me to sit down she knows what shes doing and that Im being too picky.. Youd@m right I am 200 dollars is not thump change for me.. Ooo she was real foul I politely my things and told her smart A$$ Ill take my money else where. I offered to pay the lady for the few braids for a receipt the owner wouldnt give me one she came outside and took a picture of my license plate while I was leaving.. I dont as Americans maybe we should invest Im our own people. Im just saying. Dont give them a penny of your money..2011/03/16 **

WORST BRAIDING EXPERIENCE EVER. I went it and showed the manager and the women a picture of how I wanted my hair ( small/medium ) . It only takes about two hours and when I get up theyre JUMBO TWISTS about the size of my palm!! After we go to the front after they do the wrong size they said they can do it again for ANOTHER 100 DOLLARS. HECK NO! Why do I have to repay for something that yall messed up on. But in conclusion after a 30 minute long argument with the manager they end up taking it out and having to pay 40 dollars for the hair they used to braid my hair and we left. So if you wanna get your hair done RIGHT!! NEVER GO HERE!!!!!

A hot mess the owners 18 year old daughter did some corn rolls in my hair and told me my hair was to thick to lay all the way down she didnt know what she was doing and this big lip ugly man pressures you to give him the money before she finishes my hair never again will I not speak up but I was in a hurry people if your hair is not finish dont give him a cent until youve looked at it and if its awful like mine was make them do it over we have a ton of American women in Richmond that will do hell of a lot better and charge a good price I just wanted to try these thieves out

First time going and it will not be my last. Although I chose the most painful style known to mankind (faux locs) the staff was nice and actually warned me how painful it would be and suggested a different style. But I went for it anyway!!! I appreciate there honesty, there professionalism and not to mention the style is amazing!!! Cant wait to actually be able to style my beautiful hair whenever it settles. Also their chairs are the most comfortable braiding chairs I have sat in.....the only negative thing is I wish they sold jewelry:)

This is the worse shop I have ever been to my first time there and definitely my last all I wanted was 4 (four cornrows) not only did it take 2hrs for her to do them but they were frizzy by the second day they had started to unravel in the back they cost $65 never again I dont care how far I have to drive it didnt even look like I had just left the salon Ive never had such a bad experience

Went to this place for the first time today. The quality is moderate, their speed is extremely slow and overpriced. I went in for $80 braids and paid $110. The man that works there tries to pressure you into expensive styles that takes them all day to do. I will not be returning.

They gave me one price then tried to go up on the price at my appointment date, when I told them all I had was the price they gave me they did my hair totally different than what I asked for and they cut my hair really short when my hair is long....worst experience ever

I had a good experience but it is very pricey I paid $50 for a pattern cornrow so I can go home to do crochet. The girl that did my hair she was really nice but I wont go back.. its just too much. The braid in the back came out as well.

I prefer bamba to do my hair. Its one lady that I have went to twice, and everytime she does my hair, it is messed up in someway. I like bamba, because she takes time with your hair, and doesnt rush it.
