Never going to this place ever again. That damn blonde hair girl, Amanada apparently was rushing to go home because someone was waiting to leave with her and was waiting in the sitting area. If you are not planning to give a propery cut and shampoo then let us know and we can come back. Instead, knowing that she needs to leaving 12 miutes, she rushed to RINSE MY MOMS HAIR INSTEAD OF SHAMPOOING. Then she barely CUT my moms hair!!!! Then she used the blow dryer for 5 SECONDS to get the hair off my moms neck... and charged us $18.00 to get the hair rinsed (not shampoo) and the crappiest hair cut ever...then a 5 second blow dry. My moms hair was freaking WET when we left. Dont ever go to that girl or this location. The location is dead and they hardly have traffic, you would expect that they would provide some decent level of customer service, but this is what you will get when you go to this place. So be warned!! I will blast my social media to let everyone that I know to avoid this place. Worst experience ever!!!!!

Booked an appt here with Catherine yesterday. She took her time with me and really listened to what I wanted and especially what I didnt want. She gave me the color gloss and a beautiful cut! She even showed me different ways to style my new cut!! Loved her! The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars was that when I went to pay , I was expecting about a $50 bill..... I almost fell over when she told me the total was $80!! I had been going to the Fantastic sams on Parham road in Richmond and the exact same gloss and cut was always $48-$58. In Raleigh, it was always $38. Im having a bit of a hard time understanding the price discrepancies. I really want to go back.... But I thought Fantastic Sams was budget friendly???? I wanted to tip Catherine more, but I wasnt planning on spending $100 on my hair without even purchasing products. I will have to give it some thought as to whether I return..... $80 at FS...... Ive been going for years and never had that happen!

I usually take my son somewhere else but I had a coupon so I decided to try somewhere new. Well I forgot my coupon but we went ahead with the cut. My 4 year old does not stop moving, ever. Most places just work around it within reason of course and honestly he wasnt screaming and crying so I thought he was doing great but the stylist kept stopping and telling him he had to hold still like every 2 seconds. I did speak up and try to remind him to be still but its not that easy. Anyways she ended up getting his ear a little, which has never happened during a haircut but I wasnt angry, he didnt cry but then she tried to blame it on his "uncut fingernails" that rubbed me the wrong way, a simple "Im so sorry about that" wouldve been more than enough. Also there were signs everywhere talking about "tipping your stylist" and making sure it was with cash. I get it but seriously so tacky.

Experienced bad customer service on two occasions. Even though the sign out front says walk ins welcome, twice my walk in attempts were rejected. I could not even schedule an appointment for any time in the near future. A salon should not advertise walk in convenience if they will not honor it I will drive the extra distance to use the Fantastic Sams located at Lexington Commons. Always have a great experience there and they have more convenient hours.

I had the worst experience ever. I went to get my bangs done , she chopped my hair into small pieces till my forehead . I am so disappointed with their service , specially when I showed her a picture and asked her to do like that.she just chopped into small pieces .

Just loved this place and will never go anywhere else. Reasonable costs and excellent service. They were slow today, so they even braided my youngest daughters hair just for fun and at no extra cost. She looked fit for a wedding party!

Catherine was amazing. She was listening to everything I said and made my hair exactly like how I wanted t to be. They charged me extra for my extra long hair and valpak was not valid but I would definitely be there again for my next cut.

Have been going here for about a year now. Usually the same ladies are there. I try to go on Wednesdays because mens cuts are 10 bucks. Nice inside and the ladies are nice too. I take my kids on Saturdays--it can get pretty busy then.

Was told to come back later when they have a stylist available. If you dont take walk ins, then you should clearly have a sign that says appointments only. Very unprofessional.

2/4/16 :: The hours for this location have changed. We will be open from 9-7 Monday through Friday, and 9- 6 on Saturday. We are still closed on Sundays.
