Update: I have to say after several excellent service visits and a glowing Google review, Im never going back to Precision Tune after my recent visit. My boyfriend and I got up early and arrived at 8am on a Saturday, as soon as this place opened, to get oil changes/tire rotation and get on with our day. Everything was fine until he got on the highway and his car started shaking severely. He called Precision Tune and the worker told him that this wouldnt have happened if he had purchased some other $10 service. She said she "knew it could happen" to cars after tires are rotated but NEVER informed us of it, so of course we didnt buy the $10 service that would have allowed us to actually drive the car safely above 30mph. After arguing about it she finally agreed to do the adjustment for free and we brought the car in before noon. Not the end of the world, but it gets worse. We were told the car would be ready in 2 hours, so we went back to Precision Tune only to find the car had never been moved from its parking space. We waited for THREE MORE HOURS at Precision Tune while customers came in and out and the car just sat in its space and wasnt worked on. I understand that people who are there first should get served first, so we were willing to wait, but at this point our ENTIRE day had been wasted (and we arrived at 8am!). Now it was after 5pm and after arguing and arguing with this employee she finally agreed to service the car---and we find out it was just a 5 minute procedure! We waited over FIVE HOURS and wasted an entire day for a 5 minute adjustment that the employee failed to inform us of in the first place. Although Ive had nothing but positive experiences with this place up until now, Im never going back.

I brought my car in to be serviced on 3/25 for a state inspection and oil change. Both seem to go ok although my car was there all day and I had to show up right at closing to retrieve it. No one called me or notified me it was ready. A week later my check engine light came on as well as my anti skid and VSC off lights. I took my car to a Haley Toyota dealership to look at it. They ran a diagnostic and found that the oil cap had been left off and the oil had soaked my drive belt and also damaged the drive belt and air fuel ratio sensor. Also despite passing the state inspection at Precision Auto, they said my brakes would not pass state inspection and the pads needed to be replaced. I called the Precision Tune location after the diagnostic was run and they refused to honor the warranty since Toyota diagnosed the car even though no work had been completed at that time. Toyota is willing to give a statement saying the damages were caused by your shop. And it is written on one of the attached invoices below. Precision Tune said I had an oil leak, but Toyota found no leak and only that the oil cap was left completely off. The oil cap that was left off in negligence alone cost me ~$600 in repairs including the original invoice from the Precision Auto Location. I have tried reaching out the original store twice as well as through the customer service. Wednesday 4/12, Darell from the corporate office called me and left me a message saying the DM would contact me, but I have heard nothing since. 4/19 I emailed the corporate customer service with receipts and have heard nothing. 4/20 I snail mailed them all the contents of the mail and have gotten no response...

This place was the worse! I went for an inspection and was failed for the very first time due to my light covers being "cloudy" and a minor whole in the back light when I first brought my car. Furthermore, the lady up front was extremely rude. I mention to her that I have never failed inspections after Precision was trying to charge me over $600.00 for issues that were minor. Her response was, "Well, this is not a moms and pops shop!" That comment was uncalled for, clearly. Every shop I went to was Pepboys, MAACO, or other car places more established then this one. She made it seem as if I didnt have money and I went to places that actually let me get by. I may be Black, young, and a woman but I am far from stupid. YOU ALL will never talk to me that way again and I will make sure corporate understands my concerns. I am a Black professional and I am far from broke. As I went to the register to pay, she kept making comments as if I didnt know what I was talking about. You dont fail inspection due to cloudy covers. I asked her, "Well, do my lights work?" "Yes, she responded." So, what is the big deal. She kept going back and forth with me saying, "Leave my shop," as I stated back, "I will! Once I get my keys," which I waited for over 30minutes not including the 2 hours of just seeing my car sit there. This place is horrible and I will be notifying corporate! She stated her comment wasnt offensive but it was and you (whoever you are) will never speak to me like that again. I have money, I am a black professional woman, and you do not know who I know...Customer service is always the key!!!!!

This place is corrupt. I took my car to this shop and they ran diagnostics and told me that my car needed a new engine for almost $6000.00. I called to tell them that the I was going to have the car towed. I called them in the morning, however when I arrived at 2 pm, the time I give them, my cars engine was still apart with the pieces all over the place and the hood unable to close. The tow truck driver was shocked. When I asked them to put the engine back together, the mechanic told me he didnt know I was coming and it would take a long time. Needless to say, I towed the car to another auto shop. They put the engine back together, adding the pieces that were lost of misplaced, and the car was running in 1 hr after reassembly -- No need for an engine. The biggest cost was the new parts and reassembling the engine. I had flooded the engine because I had not driven the car in a couple of weeks. The total cost was $400 dollars, again with the bulk of the cost for the parts that was lost or misplaced and the reassembling the engine. I went back to this shop to request my money back as they had performed a invalid diagnostics with results that were not supported and they had left my car in an acceptable state. I have received every lie and run around possible. Unfortunately, I will be inconvenienced by small claims court to get justice. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THEIR CAR TO THIS SHOP!!!!!

I am trying very hard to write an unbiased review. My girlfriend and I can only speak for ourselves and I am only writing this because I was not contacted after calling corporate to find a solution. We are human and I know sometimes errors happen, but my girlfriend was almost completely scammed by this place. For one thing, the mechanic said that she needed a new battery after running a test. They gave us a receipt with a false meter reading on it that said 9:15 A.M and my girlfriend didnt get there until 10:30 so I knew automatically something wasnt right. I know it wasnt a mistake because it said on the receipt that this 2013 practically new car needed a battery. My girlfriend was hesitant and called me and I told her to leave and we will take it somewhere else. Upon leaving the front desk reminded her the dangers of driving with that dud of a battery and that they could have it done for over 100 dollars within the next half hour. She thankfully left anyway because one stop later at batteries plus we found out the battery was in great condition. My girlfriend is young and not from this country so I feel more than offended because she just wanted to be helped with an oil change, which I had to do over again because I didnt trust their work. Im not here to persuade, just to tell my story. Use much caution if you plan on going to this place. Tom W.
