The staff here is very helpful. Ive seen the workers walk peoples packages out to the car when they are too heavy for them. They also tell people exactly where they can go to get what they need. Thats so different than other places who say, "I dont know thats not my job." If youre holding a UPS package theyll notice and call you out before you wait 10-15 minutes in line to find out. Ive also witnessed them handle customers yelling and screaming at their faces for something outside of their control. Rather than lose their composure they let the person erupt for 5-15 minutes and then tell them the proper procedure to have their problem resolved. Its important to note that, though they all represent the same company, there are different groups within the company that perform different functions. The people who work behind the counter are different and separated from the people who deliver the mail. If you have a crappy Mail Carrier, then insulting the USPS location doesnt help you.

The worst post office ever which I am so thankful for. Thanks to these guys and my many experiences with ellensburg USPS i have learned many new skills and acquired great friends. I have learned the need for meditation, I know the post master, the mail carrier and I have shared great experiences, and I have had multiple opportunities to share my thoughts about their wonderful service with the community....so thank you ellensburg postal for: throwing the packages onto my porch, cramming boxes into my mail box, not delivering because a car is 20 from the mailbox and not 25, thank you for folding my wifes diploma in half that clearly stated DO NOT FOLD, thank you for folding the spine of a book that was a Christmas present, and lastly thank you for putting my most recent package through WWIII as I did not really want the Mug I ordered to actually hold coffee, I prefer the smashed pottery wrapped in bubble wrap instead. Outstanding!

I have lived in ellensburg for 8 years and it seems to be an annual trip for me to go speak with the postmaster regarding the miss handling of our packages. Why are they so disrespectful with other people things? My wifes diploma showed up in the mail with a crease right down the center. There is clear writing on the envelope that was covered with a somewhat translucent white sticker that clearly states "diploma - do not bend". I have had packages so tightly wedged into my mailbox that my son was not able to pull them out with two hands. A previous house I lived in I witnessed the mail carrier toss my package onto the front porch. When I confronted him about the issue he states "well I guess it might have slipped". Ellensburg USPS, please think twice when stuffing packages into our mailbox and certainly dont toss our packages from a distance. Sincerely, A frustrated citizen

I have lived in Ellensburg for 15 years after living in several different small towns around the NW. The Post Office here is the WORST I have ever encountered. When I bought a new house they would not hold my mail for the 3 weeks it took to close. Instead, they made me rent a PO Box and then refused to forward my mail to my new house, which was literally three doors down the street from my old house! The mail carrier consistently leaves my mail in the wrong box, and the few times I have attempted to ship from the Post Office have been a nightmare. The staff there simply do not care about customer service. Trying to get a Passport renewed there was also a nightmare. Thank goodness one can go to the City Office for that. I go to the UPS Store or directly to the UPS office for my shipping.

My son has been living here for the past few months. He orders a lot online. The regular mail delivery person is always very careful to place the parcels on the steps of the house. She is a rural route delivery person and has a huge route. However the people who replace her when she has days off are lazy careless slugs. They could care less about mail delivery. That is the reason for the one star. That and the service at the PO is terrible. I go to the UPS store and FedEx to mail whenever possible.

Endless issues with usps! Tossed/threw package on porch, folded and creased my diploma to fit into mailbox, creased a book down the spine to fit into mailbox, shoved package into the mailbox so tight the edges of the box were crushed, wont deliver if car is parked more than 20 ft from the mailbox (weve measured!) We are so tired of the unprofessional organization. Id rather my tax dollars go to UPS or FEDEX.

Twice now I have never received my package from them. They have also withheld some (not all) all of my personal mail because I refused to accept a piece of junk mail (without my name on it). They said it was because they thought I didnt live there because I wouldnt accept the junk mail.

Staff inside the building are usually helpful but the delivery people (especially in my area) are terrible. Lost packages monthly, packages delivered to wrong address weekly. I find myself making trips to places 3 blocks away to deliver a package to the right person often.

These people have no idea what they are doing. They show no care in resolving problems, and they make it clear that you and your business are not welcome. They lack organization and they lack any form of logic. If you have a choice do not use this office.

One guy at the post office is so rude I dont go in when hes there. I think his name is Sean? They also dropped off my package at the college which makes no sense. They told me it happens a lot and they are going to see if they can get it back.

My mail has been dropped in the snow in front of my mail box. My packages have been bent in and I order stuff and have never received it when I shouldve.
