Consider carefully before conducting business with this organization. My boyfriend and I signed a lease to move into a home managed by “Better Properties.” When the first day of the lease arrived and I was scheduled to pickup my keys, the prior tenants had not moved out. The agent we were working with – Debbie – did not ensure that (1) the home would be vacated; (2) the property was ready to be turned over and in clean condition; (3) provide prior notification before the move-in date to my boyfriend or myself that we could not live in the property because the tenants had not left. We found this out after our movers started loading up their 26’ van. Now, we are out money for the cost of movers, storage for an additional month, and were left COMPLETELY HOMELESS due to poor management skills and GROSS NEGLIGENCE. The public deserves to know the truth of the company’s actions.

Debbie at Better properties manages my 3 rentals. From my experience with property managers, they give you just basic service at best. She is on top of making sure any work orders are done in a timely manner as well as on top of protecting your investment. I just had to go through the dreaded eviction process. She knows rental real estate law probably as good as most attorneys. In the 5 years she has managed my properties, this is the first time that I have had to evict anyone. The process was quick and I ended up not loosing a months rent in the transition. Money well spent.
