I recently went here for the first time and got my hair cut and colored by Heidi after reading her bio on the website. The salon is small but feels cozy, and everyone who works there was kind and personable from start to finish. Heidi my hairstylist, was especially great. I have long, fine, straight hair and I told her I just wanted to clean up my layers and bangs (side swept), and basically keep my same style but clean it up and make it better. She did exactly what I asked of her, and the result is perfect. My ends look healthy again, and my bangs and layers lay perfectly now. Some stylists get too creative or choppy when you dont want a big change but Heidi listened to exactly what I wanted and I got what I came for. Ive had my hair cut in all kinds of cities and salons and I can confidently say that Heidi and Carolann Joy Salon matched or exceeded all of them. We also talked about what kind of style I might try if I did want a big change, and I thought she had some really nice suggestions. Her years of experience really show.

Ive been to C.Joy Salon about 3-4 times now, and every time I leave happy and with pretty hair. First things first, the salon is beautiful. I havent been to a salon with a better environment and ambiance than C.Joy Salon. Personally, I really like the waiting area, they have booksand Im always offered some sort of beverage (i.e. coffee, water, tea, etc.) immediately after arriving-- such a nice touch. As for hairstylists, everyone Ive been to has been fabulous! I had Sara this past time and she was wonderful! I love the way she cut and styled my hair, she really took her time to make sure everything was perfect (a trait all hairstylists should have, but is rare to find.) She was also fun to talk to, which is another trait I look for because you dont want to be stuck with someone boring for the next hour or so. If youre looking for hair salon in Redmond, I would definitely recommend to check out C.Joy Salon!

I have lost myself along the way, my self esteem was tarnished due to personal issues. I am a single mother raising 2 kids who both are on the spectrum disorder of autistism,. I am also a survivor of domestic violence. My life story can go on and on. My experience that day at your shop in Redmond was very relaxed and comfortable. Your salon staff is very friendly and wonderful. The young lady, Kayla who gave me my first facial is very remarkable at what she does. She made me feel like I was beautiful, even w/scares and marks. Your salon deserves a standing ovation for the quality of your work, your heart for people and willingness to help someone like me. I love my new haircut and hair color. This was such a wonderful salon experience.

I have been with Carolann for six years now, following her from salon to salon until she finally opened up the wonderful wee jewelbox in Redmond she has now. She still does my hair, even since I have moved from the Eastside up North-- She is DEFINITELY worth the drive...! She has never tried to force her own opinion over mine, but she will collaborate with me when I am undecided and need her advice and creativity...and she has done a wonderful job keeping my long auburn hair long and auburn, and in great condition. I get beaucoups compliments, and it is all down to Carolann! She also has a terrific personality and it is always a pleasure to spend a couple of hours with her. I trust her...both for her coiffure talents and her high principles. With respect to all the great hair artists in this part of Washington, you just cannot do better than Carolann!

I’ve been going to a hair salon in Seattle, but with the traffic and parking annoyance I’ve decided to try some salons around my home. When I first found Carolann Joy Salon in Redmond I was a little shocked when walking in the door. From the outside appearance I didn’t expect much, but once I was inside its like my senses were jumping on the inside. The atmosphere of the salon is intimate and cozy. I liked it allot! Heidi was my stylist; she was professional, detailed and personable. I felt like she was fully listening to me when I was explaining what I wanted. I had foils put in my hair and the color turned out great. Heidi seemed to be relaxed and happy with herself. It was overall a very comfortable hair salon experience. They have top notch customer service! I plan on recommending all my friends to them and going back again.

Carolann Joy Salon is in my opinion the best place to get a hair cut in Redmond. I’ve been to a handful of Redmond Salons and have been met with devastation at some :). Heidi was my stylist; she is fun, down to earth and listens. She did a fabulous job on my hair. Heidi has been my stylist for a few months, I don’t plan on changing, and she is awesome at working that hair magic! She takes her job seriously; to me she is professional and knowledgeable. I always get compliments on my haircuts, which is quite wonderful. The only negative I have is that it is sometimes hard to get in if you wait until the last minute to request an appointment. I’ve had awesome luck with prebooking though. If you are in serious need of a fantastic haircut in a luxurious environment, look no further than Redmond’s Carolann Joy Salon.

The best salon Ive been to in my 34 years. The place itself is lovely, inside and out. Flowers, colors, comfortable chairs, tea. Great style and feel. The ladies are lovely inside and out too! I have not gone to the same stylist for years because I havent found one I wanted to do that with. But, Ill be going back to Heidi. I didnt quite like my hair the day after the style. I went back the next day and she modified it a bit at no charge and thanked me for coming back, etc.. Now, I love it. Shes friendly, but doesnt pander. (I think this last bit is important. Ever been to a stylist and thought, "hey, does she think I *want* her to stroke my ego or something?) She doesnt only listen or only talk; she is a great conversation partner. Great sense of humor, etc. Ive found my salon home!

This place is clean, modern, and comfortable. They gave me one of the best haircut’s I have ever had in my life. I described to Heidi what I wanted and she asked me questions until she was confident that we had the same end result in mind. She was asking me questions about the activities and lifestyle I have, which initially I thought was strange, but I think she was trying to better understand me so that she could give me a cut that reflects who I am and what I do. Once Heidi started on my haircut it was obvious that she was talented. I have long thick hair and wanted some additional layers put in. I got so many compliments since getting my hair done here! Definitely worth the price! I look forward to another cut from Carolann Joy Salon soon.
