Spring Gates

I had a soft spot in my roof. Ed and Dennis came out and looked at it. Said that they would not be able to get to it for about 3 weeks but that it looked like there would be a need to replace not only the drywall but also the insulation and plywood, possibly the trusses due to mold. They asked me to cut out a bigger hole and they would come out and look at it to get a better idea of cost. I cut out an area like I was asked to and called Dennis. He got me mixed up with another job and after about 10 minutes remembered me. I told him that I cut out the area like I was asked to and he could come out anytime. I was told that typically they dont do that and would charge but since he was getting the job anyway would just add it to the bill (I had not yet told him I was hiring him). He came out and said that the trusses would need to be replaced and it would be at least 10k but he would talk to Ed to see if they can do it cheaper. I advised him I needed an estimate as the insurance may be covering some of that. After about a week or so, no word. My husband called Ed who stated that this has been handed over to Dennis. My husband then called Dennis back and he actually said he forgot about us. He would try to put together and estimate between jobs. Keep in mind, I at this time have a tarp on my rood, its been 3 weeks since we first called these guys and now, he forgot about us. We told him not to worry about it we would be going with someone else. Now, with a bathroom covered in moldy insulation and drywall, we have to start all over again.

Ascend Roofing did two jobs for me. The first was the two story home they tore off and put down a new roof. The guys are hard working and did a very good job on the roof. Their clean up was excellent. The roof was replaced last year. Second job was a leak from a gutter on the garage side of the house. It had damaged the wall, insulation and support wood for the two story home. Ryan and LeeJay came in and tore down the damaged plywood, insulation and removed/replaced all damaged support wood. When it was all repaired, they installed a larger box and redesigned the roof area so the water does not flow near the house anymore and flows into the drain now. I recommend them for their work is very good and the people are nice too!

This was the second house that Ascend has put a roof on for me. They did a great job. This was new construction and Vern was very clear about what needed to be done to provide me with a roof that would last and did it within my budget. They showed up when they said they would and had it done quickly and cleanly. The only negative is that I asked them to come back to install the flashing around the vent pipes that the plumber put through the roof and they never showed. I had already paid them in full so theres no incentive to come back I guess.

They did a great job tearing off old roof and adding metal rood w gutters and rain barrels. It turned out previous roof person put in insulation upside down. It was a bit more expensive since they had to replace insulation and other wood. I highly recommend them Ascend Roofing. If you have other needs just ask them.

Ascend Roofing did some repairs on a roof leak that happened right around the skylight in my roof. I also had them come back again a few months later and had them do some work on an area of my roof where some buckling had occurred. I was very satisfied with the quality of work.
