BEWARE! This company was hired to remodel the downstairs, the contract called for construction to start September 25, 2014 and to be completed by December 25, 2014. That was not the case. Since the downstairs was, being lived in prior to construction, everything had to be moved out and we had to move into a garage until the job was complete. They started in early November and left the job site February 2015 and we did not get a final inspection until early spring 2015. Some days the workers would show up and there were times that we did not see them for weeks at a time. Here is a few of the items we have problems with: • Loss of electrical outlets in the bathroom. It went from three outlets to one and that one is located right next to the door, which butts up to the cupboard. • The garden bathtub has small gouges in it and the faucets are not very secure. • The shower leaked where the enclosure butts up against the wall and had caused dry rot of both sides of the enclosure. (We have since repaired the leak ourselves). • The tile floor in the bathroom is not level. • Where the floating wood floor ends, there may or may not be a transition and you can see the ragged edges if the wood. He did send someone to put a wood strip at the front door but it was plastic and when he glued it down, he secured it with duct tape and when they removed the tape, the covering pulled off and we not have the plastic white strips showing. • The wood floor is not level at one corner of the living room. • The big window installed in the bedroom was purchased at Home Depot for less than $300.00, we were charged $600.00, it arrived with a window screen and it became missing after install. We asked for a replacement but never received one. • When they moved the drier vent box, there was a hole in the wall on the outside. When it was repaired and painted, (after being tagged by the inspector) they used the wrong color paint and it was interior paint. (The same company painted the house after 2013). • The remodel had a hard time getting a final inspection, as stated about it took a few months after they left the job site. The building inspector had to tweak some of the electrical items because the builder’s electrician could not get it right. There are many more problems, too numerous to list and we are continuing to find them. The owner of the house was a good friend of Mario’s perhaps that was why we were taken advantage of.

If I could give no stars I would. I know most people dont want to hear the negative complaints, but trust me this review will save you a lot of pain and suffering if you are looking into remodeling. My husband and I hired SGC for our two small bathroom remodels and installing kitchen back splash subway tile (which I already acquired prior). There were red flags from the start - had to change the design of the Master Bathroom after placing our deposit because certain product wasnt available and we had to go with a more expensive tile in the shower. Our time frame from demo to completion was to be done two weeks. I work in the custom/remodel realm so I understand that deadlines can change, but when the "professionals" you hire to do a quality, detailed, done right the first time job show up late (if they show up at all), leave your house TRASHED, cut major corners, leave your water running, and drag out your remodel for almost 3 months, there are no excuses. Our simple, non complicated subway tile back splash looked like a blind, one armed monkey installed it which had to be completely ripped out and redone...and the redone part was worse than the first attempt. This company is full of excuses, false promises, idiots who have no idea what a quality job is, and more importantly a big fat waste of time and money. We are still living with crooked, uneven, incorrectly installed subway tile in our kitchen because I wouldnt trust them to back my car into my driveway with all the frustration they have caused. For them the fix the short cuts taken in our bathrooms was pulling teeth and pointing fingers. More excuses, more delays, more lies, and in the end left with a mediocre if even that job. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT use this company for your remodel purposes. I wouldnt want anyone, not even my worst enemy to have to go through what I went through during this process. In the end, I should have just done it myself - might have taken longer, but it would have been done right.

I live in Boise and had Mario and the guys at SGC remodeled my fathers house in Battle Ground, these guys are great, Ive been in the construction industry for 25 years, for the last 12 years Ive done nothing but remodels, but I didnt have the time to come to Washington to do it myself, thats when SGC came in and knocked my project out of the park. I appreciate theyre attention to detail and getting quite an extensive remodel of the entire house done in just over a week from start to finish (everything from sinks, counter tops, back splash, flooring, carpet, drywall, paint, decking, fixtures, toilets) the list goes on and on, as well as doing the work at a very competitive price, these guys got theyre card in my Rolodex (that says a lot)!

We had a complete kitchen remodel. Two walls removed two windows replaced and one new window added. All new cabinets custom made by Service Group Construction. The estimated time line was six weeks and the project was completed in just over seven weeks. We were kept in the loop during construction and Mario and his crew were always willing to listen to our request for changes and implement our requests in a timely manner. Along with the kitchen remodel the also replaced 1400 square feet of flooring. We lived in the home during the remodel and the workers made sure we felt a mimumum amount of inconvenience. I would recommend Service Group without hesitation and have additional projects for them in the near future

We had a wonderful experience with Service Group Construction. Mario and his whole staff was a group that want to deliver a beautiful project. They are very considerate of our home and our privacy throughout the whole process. We have an older home and had our main bathroom gutted and redone. Since our house was built in 1947, the demolition was very difficult with old tile set in concrete. They took great care in removing it all - not disturbing joining walls. It was a difficult job well done. We love the end results and enjoy the custom cabinets, the quartz, the tile, all new fixtures, and the heated floors. I highly recommend Service Group Construction! Second major project on our house, had to find a GC on our own because the first one went out of business. We were nervous to have to take a chance of this magnitude ($36k project, floors/siding/paint/etc), but SGC has been exceptional. Jeffrey has been extremely attentive, ever present and a perfectionist. Cant say enough about how pleased we are with him and the results of the work that SGC has done. The people that he had on the job were terrific, and they addressed small items of note without penalizing us. Cant express how happy we are that we chose this company. We will be referring Jeffrey and SGC to all of our family and friends.
